“I visited New York for 6 days from the state of Texas and ended up having two meals at this location because the food was just that good. In a city where you have to be the best to survive, we chose to eat here for two meals! The flavors and consistency of quality and service were great. Can't say enough good things about this place! Keep up the good work gentlemen!“

“Nice restaurant, friendly employees. Brunch hours were from 12-5 pm. I didn’t want brunch food bc I heard from others that it was just OK. I ordered the tiny special roll and was informed couldn’t get it until 5 pm due to the brunch menu times. The waitress took our order around 4:20 pm. Then she came back later to take it again-not sure why. The sushi roll was good. I also enjoyed an expressing martini. My friend ordered chicken wings , they were super super tiny. She didn’t complain about the taste though. Only street parking available. Gratuity included for a table for 2.“

“So my Lenten sacrifice included all things that look good, taste good & make me feel good. So last night after an intense interpersonal interaction earlier in the day I headed to Yatenga. I was greeted by the lovely Todd the bar man (one of the things that look good)who greeted warmly and took my order. He returned with my preferred cocktail-The Lou Lou! The fact that he remembered made me feel like a Prince (only a Prince as he’s a King). I started my meal with the Cauliflower soup which was well flavored and simply delicious. It was so good it was enough to turn a carnivore into a vegetarian! Then I had the Chicken Francaise which was prepared to perfection. The accompanying sauce was smooth and also highly flavored. The chicken breast’s were tender & the texture was as if the chicken had just been sacrificed moments before. The vegetables of haricot verts and carrots were perfectly al dente. And my dessert of Tart Tartin could not have been better; nice flaky crust and perfectly sweetened! In the past 13 years I have not patronized another restaurant in Harlem in particular and NYC in general. Why? Because I don’t have the confidence that I will be as well treated and cared for and well-fed as I am at Yatenga. The fact that Todd the barman does double duty as a server and does it affably is one major reason I keep going back. The management must be superior-why else would the staff be so equally superior. I travel a lot for work & thusly try to avoid restaurants in other towns and villages because I know they’re not Yatenga.“

“Delicious as always. I went yesterday, with a friend and I got to say, your prices have gone through the roof! I mean doubled by $8-$10 per meal. We also got there at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon, the dead of August, we wanted a hightop table. We were told that they were reserved and That people would be coming in within the next 45 minutes, and they didn’t wanna have to switch us again. By the time we left at 7:30 there were still 2 high tops available/empty. I’ll still be back because it’s a Broadway but those two things definitely bothered us“

“A great Korean fusion bar in the neighborhood that's passionate about good food!
I had a buddy over from Michigan who did not mind the snow, so with wife, we went to eat through snow BLIZZARD to JJ Dak Sunday evening as they were open. Inside was chic and cozy as I expected, and we were led to a rather smallish dining room on the side of first floor. Center area was for the bar. I've wanted to try JJ Dak for a while now, so we ordered up w/ pleasant server who explained the menu for us.
I. ATMOSPHERE (4/5) - Great vibe! Dimly lit with thoughtful biergarten style decorations galore, it felt warm, cozy yet stylish. Good for dates & drinks with buddies.
II. FOOD (4/5)
Squid Fries ($14, APP, 5/5) - Hands down the best food of the visit. Fresh squid w/ full flavor in light seasoned batter with mouthwatering ponzu mayo dip. Say whaaat? Wonderful with beer. We wanted to order one more if not for entree coming!
Fried Oysters ($??, APP, 3/5) - It was a special item, but unfortunately this was nothing special. Shouldn't have ordered, as it was prob to get rid of fresh oysters getting old (not on the menu). It wasn't like not fresh or anything but taste was just okay.
Nuroongji Dak ($45, ENTREE, 4/5) - This famous dish didn't disappoint! They lit it on fire for a show & added flame taste, and the dish was sizzling hot. Flavor was pretty good, though some parts of chicken wasn't seasoned through. But they give you 3 dipping sauces (honey mustard was my favorite!) for that so that's OK. This dish really felt like a treasure hunt for the 3 of us as we kept poking around and finding different ingredients. I wished that there was still a unifying sauce of some kind as meat felt a bit dry at times and variety of ingredients kinda floating on their own a bit. Maybe a splash of soya-butter? Nonetheless, this was really enjoyable to eat - we loved the cauliflower and the burnt rice (which we diligently scraped off the pan) on the bottom.
III. SERVICE (5/5) - Very attentive, on a Sunday evening blizzard night! Later they did get busy (it's like we brought the town here cuz adventurous and half-crazy people kept showing up in pairs through the blizzard to eat in. Was a bit funny)
I'm a fan of this place - especially for a drink w/ buddies I can't think of a more deserving place to go to in town atm than JJ Dak! I'll be back to try many other interesting menu items in the near future!
Parking: Free lot is tiny. Street parking galore but paid. Nearby mall parking (of other businesses) but they may ticket you during busy hours.“
“Nice place to stop for a beer or two and a little something to eat. We had a sausage pie and two orange blossom beers. Both were excellent and service was great in the beginning. Only when it was time to leave we had to wait long for a waitress. Still our favorite place to stop when up this way.“

“The place is nice with great ambience people go there to do their work and relax the coffee is great but I didn't rank the food because I only went in for a cup of coffee and left to take the train one of these days I'll go there for a bite to eat and rate the food plus they supposedly have a craft beer menu gotta try that. But every time I pass by this place there is always people in there and sometimes they have some story telling events.“

“Total vibe before the Yankees game. We were in our St Louis Cardinals matching jerseys for our 5 yr anniversary. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. The twins were really nice and their bouncer, server, host added so much entertainment and a genuine touch.
The food recommendation, and I quote: 'look im Greek, so I know everything taste great". With that we order two beef gyros and two Bloody Marys *spicy*. The gyro was the best open faced sandwich I have ever tasted. The Bloody Mary did not disappoint, great flavor and wonderfully spicy.
If we ever have a chance to go to another Yankees game. We will be back.“

“We were reluctant to go inside , but we decided to give it a try . It was a wonderful experience!!!!
The lady at the counter gave us samples of two dishes when we couldn’t decide what we wanted to eat, very nice gesture of her . When the food arrived, the smell, the texture all delicious. The handmade tortillas were amazingly delicious and soft. Ooooh and let me tell you about the drink we had a cántarito, it was a perfect balance of sweetness, spicy, and alcohol. Unfortunately I had to go to work or else I would’ve stay longer and tried other dishes and drinks. I’m definitely making the trip from
Brooklyn. The price was just right for my budget.“

“I was craving breakfast but like at home breakfast not the restaurant style taste but the your mom or grandma made you breakfast type of style. Dalias hit it on the nail. The place is busy between people coming in for pick up, delivery orders, and being seated. This didn’t stop or slow down the business everyone was glad to wait cause they knew something I didn’t. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. For how great the food taste you would think it would cost way more. This place is budget friendly but also very delicious at the same time if I lived closer I would be there every morning !!!“

“The food is pretty good here and good prices but the hours are dumb. They close at either 8 or 9. And even when they’re supposedly open until 9 they close their online ordering earlier. I’d probably eat here often but I don’t get home from work until 8 or later most nights. You’d think a place like this right next to a college would be open til at least 10 most nights.“

“Came here a couple weeks ago with a large party to play some magic and we fell in love with this spot! So manny amazing games to choose from. Lots of stuff to buy. Every food & drink was incredible. And the staff was awesome! Big shout out to Mike for being so kind and accommodating! (Seriously he’s the absolute best!! 🙌) We were able to get a big enough table in the back for all of our party to sit together which seemed to be a struggle to find in NYC. Will happily come back here again & again and couldn’t recommend it enough!“

“I ordered fried wings and BBQ wings from Seoul Chicken, and I have to say, they were the best wings I’ve had in a long time! The fried wings were perfectly crispy, while the BBQ wings had a delicious smoky flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. The wings arrived fresh, juicy, and packed with flavor.
I’ll definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend if you’re craving amazing wings!“
