“My opinion is 8.7/10. Is it the best Jamaican beef patty I've ever had? No but overall our place that makes handmade Jamaican beef patties with a good overall flavor I recommend it. Best thing definitely has to be the crust I just wish for $3 it was a little bit more meat / seasoning. Check out my in depth video reviews on any of the platforms below. “Stopped by randomly, around 9pm. Nuff a the food were finished(sold out) but we got the pepper steak w/rice&peas and raw vegetables (shredded carrots and cabbage,love it!) and sweet chilie wings w/rice and peas. Firstly, rice and peas can eat by itself! Well nice!! She wanted oxtail but it was basically done but server(wish i got her name) gave us the few small pieces with the gravy to her rice. Looking forward to trying their curry goat. Represent Jamaican food lovely, support!!“

“I had a great experience! Anthony, the Front Counter Associate, was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I felt welcomed in this new Bronx establishment. His coworkers each greeted with a warm smile and with equal professionalism and personality. This establishment brings an authentic business culture that welcomes diversity.

I ordered two spinach patties and two mild spicy beef patties. All patties were consistent with flavor. The patty shells were soft, flaky and light. The filling needs to be more generous. I did notice that the filling and the shell were balanced, so that is why I gave it a 5-star rating. I think if there is more additional filling, then the patty shell needs to be thicker.

The coworkers did say that I would be back...and I will LOL

“By Far The Best authentic Jamaican Food ever .. since i discovered this food truck i no longer eat at any local Jamaican restaurants due to the freshness and quality of the food !!! 10/10 all the time hands down no matter the dish … Thanks for such the great hospitality and food all the time !!! “I came here twice and I must say that the curry goat and fried chicken is the best. I order a medium curry goat with white rice and a side of fried chicken. 10/10. But for $26?! The issue is that you can’t really get what you want. Hear me out for example… you can’t get a small order of oxtail….like?! You can only get a medium size with a side. It’s overpriced. Just by looking at it I can tell it’s not even worth the price. Also if you get like a medium size meal with any meat and rice you can’t get it with plantain. It’s extra charge. BUT I WILL SAY THAT THE PORTION IS WORTH IT. THEY GIVE MORE. I’ve tried the Mac and cheese and it was baaaadd. Just cheese and unseasoned roux. That’s if they use roux. It’s oily and you can’t even see or smell a spec of seasoning. Taste like a sweet treat no shade. The fried chicken though I give that 15/10. Tastes better than Kennedys. The goat meat falls off the bonnnneeee. The rice is perfect; not too mushy and not too rough. I’m on my way there right now😂😂. Is it worth trying? Hell yeah. The Mac and cheese though.. that’s to your advantage.“

“I love and support Cravin resturant because its authentic and I myself am Jamaican. However the service is slow and the ladies ringing people up are young and dont seem to want to work there. There was 2 people in the whole place when I went and waited nearly 10 minutes to just ask if they had something and waited again as one girl bagged and the other chatted. In all I left without getting food because I refused to wait any longer just to order... This is an in and out City and the service should match. I will still go to this place...but i will order ahead and hopefully my experience will be different“

“Went in to get a beef patty later in the day closer to closing a nice young lady by the name of Claudia greeted me and took my order she was very polite and made sure I got my order in a timely fashion beef patty was great way better then the one u get at a random deli or pizzeria 10/10 would recommend swinging by if ur at the mall shopping“

“Truly an excellent experience if you want authentic Jamaican patties. Flaky, flavorful, savory, and delicious. Great price, amazing customer service. As far as beef patties, for myself I believe it’s on par with Kingston Tropical Bakery in the Bronx, just my personal opinion. Definitely worth it“

“Food is excellent. I wish it was a little bigger. Lunch time the line is long they need more room. In the back the cook need more room as well. Excellent seafood soup ,whole fish dinner must try. All the soups are great. Good food . Eat there 2 or 3 times a week.“

“I drive past this place often and decided to give it a try. The callaloo was very good and fresh. I'm used to having it prepared with saltfish, so a side of saltfish was added to the order. Mixed together the saltfish overpowered the callaloo. I now understand why they do not cook the saltfish and callaloo together. The ackee was prepared with saltfish and was good, but a little too salty for me. They give generous portions and lots of yam, banana, boiled dumplings, and plantains. The side order of fried dumplings was very sweet. The server was nice and patient. If you're in the area and craving Jamaican breakfast, this is a good place. I'll be back and look forward to trying dinner options.“

“My husband loves getting breakfast here when he is going to work. The food taste delicious and the staff is very polite. They offer jamaican cuisine. You can get curry chicken back, jerk chicken, fish, goat, oxtail, rice and peas, white rice, boiled food/ ground provision, steamed and fresh veggies, baked goods, festival, fritters, soup and porridge. This morning I got steamed calaloo & saltfish with fried dumplings and plantains. Hubby got white rice and curry chicken back. The restaurant can get a little crowdy and you may have to wait a few minutes to be served, but it's worth the wait. Also there is no parking lot available but you can find parking on the street easily. They also sell freshly squeeze juice. Overall I highly recommend them for breakfast, lunch and dinner.“

“I visited this place twice and enjoyed the food on both occasions. On my first visit, I had the rice and peas and jerk chicken, which was solid. On my second visit, I tried the rice and peas and kingfish, which was also good. However, the price of the kingfish seemed a bit high for the portion size.

Macaroni looks appealing, but it wasn’t very good. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Dumplings are good.

“Talk about the best Jamaica restaurant in the Northeast Bronx. Whatever is on the menu, it’s finger licking. Good customer service . Fast service , you will be in and out .. They give you a lot of oxtail gravy lol . The steam fish , fry chicken and oxtail is a must when you go there .“

“This was my first time trying their food. I had the Curry Chicken lunch and dumplings (they were tasty after I reheated them). The CC, sweet plantain and cabbage were good! But I don't know why Jamaican restaurants only give you a table spoon of cabbage 😁. The rice was okay but a little dry even with gravy. The serve J. was nice!“

“I absolutely LOVE the food. I got a plate with oxtails, rice & peas, plantains and he makes sure your plate is full. Everything tasted like it was seasoned perfectly, the gravy was surprisingly light and delicious. I’m 1000% going back.
I sincerely doubt the bad reviews are from him, the plates aren’t even the same. I met his Mom too and she was really sweet! Made the experience even better ?

“Don’t know why this has mixed reviews cause my experience was pretty decent, portions were good, service was excellent, the lady who served me went above and beyond to get me a nice plate and the food was good as well rice and peas with oxtail, the rice was soft and the meat was tender and juicy, absolutely no complaints, will come back to try their jerk chicken which they had ran out for the day when I came in, keep up the good work!“

“Its rare to go to a jamaican restaurant and they have a full comprehensive menu with all items available 7 days a week. In most places they only serve certain items on certain days. Everything is available everyday here. And the taste is top notch. From now on, I will come here everytime I'm in NYC.“

“I Ordered the Large Oxtails and J*** BBQ Chicken . Both dishes were good and definitely worth the detour we took to get there. Oxails wasn't tough, it was almostmeltingin my mouth. The server was very nice and was ok with answering my questions. So service 5, taste food 5 but the decor of the store is definitely a 2. Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong. it's a good store and I would definitely eat here a million more times.“
