“The food here is always great. The fact that they have a lunch special on the Weekends is itself a reason to go. Unfortunately, the atmosphere always seems a bit off to me--like it needs an update and something to warm it up a bit. But definitely worth going.“

“We love dining at Asagao Sushi. The food is excellent. The fish is fresh, you have a choice of either sushi or ramen, and the presentation of the food makes it hard to dig in cause it is so beautiful. The service is professional and attentive. Prices are very reasonable. Tonight we had a sashimi platter it contained 9 different fish! Each better than the next. And Chef Park and his amazing team shows great hospitality, they greet you on your way in and thank you for visiting them on the way out. You always feel welcome and appreciated.“

“I found this wonderful place because of my co-workers.. I’ve never had Shrimp tempura before and now I am HOOKKEDDDD.. I work in Mount Kisco and I live in Carmel and I drive alllll the way down here just for their sushi .. the atmosphere is so peaceful and inviting and tranquil.. the food is fresh.. the crunch just crunches if you catch my drift.. I’m currently drinking a dirty martini and eating shrimp tempura with extra crunch crust and their signature mango sauce and listen I ordered 2 because I’m taking this home.. if you’re in the area and haven’t come out here yet you’re missing out“

“This is our 2nd time at this restaurant. This time around, a late brunch. Downtown Katonah is quite popular on beautiful Sunday mornings and we were going to a concert at the Caramoor later in the afternoon. So if you don't have a reservation at the brunch places, you are out of luck. I really wanted eggs this day but lunch was the only option late in the game. I did remember that this restaurant had a full bar so, why not. It was a cold day so a hot Sake sounded like a good idea. This place is usually standing room only at night but just after 12:30pm it was almost empty. I didn't realize I was "hangry" so I ordered an entree because I knew it would come with soup. My husband was in his element with sushi rolls and a side of pan-fried gyoza. We also requested some adult beverages. I ordered a cocktail...pomegranate Prosecco. It was a beautiful ruby color when it arrived, forgetting about the sake.... When our entrees arrived (pretty quickly, I may add), my eyes grew big as the giant tempura plate came. Everything was sizzling hot! 5 pieces of giant shrimp with some surprises; asparagus & butternut squash, in addition to the yummy usuals. I was so glad that my husband was there to help me finish. Fried food isn't appetizing as a to-go item. I was full and then some. Service was moderately quick, but as the restaurant began filling up, I was glad that we were among the "early" customers. I noticed that service was slowing down a bit. However, it was Sunday afternoon. I imagine the rest of the crew will be in for the dinner crowd. Oh did I mention that their take-out service is also quite busy? It's an indication that they're quite popular in the neighborhood.“

“We were very pleased with the quality of the food. I had a 'blend' which were Eel Sushi Appetizer. Following with Spicy Eggplant Tofu and Sautéed sting beans with beef. Probably the most authentic Chinese entrees that we've had up around this area. It was nice to enjoy the meal in a quiet atmosphere with very attentive service. We plan on revisiting in the future“

“First time here and definitely not the last! Met my nephew here, it's his favorite place and I see why. Food was absolutely sumptuous; tempura appetizer was crisp and light, sushi and sushi rolls were delectable, chicken teriyaki was served on a sizzling cast iron mini skillet with hijiki (black seaweed for those who don't know) and simply dazzling. Service was impeccable; food was served promptly, water and tea were kept filled without having to ask, requests (extra pickled ginger) were addressed expediently. This place rivals anything in Manhattan and far surpasses anything of its kind up here. No parking lot but I took a chance and parked in the Key Food shopping center across the street; my nephew parked on the street and had no issue with metered parking. Yes the staff is Chinese, not Japanese, but so what? Aren't all the cooks and servers in Italian restaurants Latino? Get over it, for that dude who complained that it's a Japanese restaurant run by Chinese people. All that matters is that THE PEOPLE performed beyond expectation and delivered brilliantly.“

“I enjoyed all the food we ordered! Three different dishes ... sushi which was served toward the end of the dinner .. I think they forgot to make it!! We had chicken chow fun ... shrimp with a cream sauce along side of fried white meat chicken ... another dish with chicken, beef and shrimp in a brown sauce and white rice. The restaurant is very clean and the staff very friendly!! An enjoyable dinner ... we will return!! They had many take out orders also.“

“One of the only places around that is Asian food with a nice atmosphere. The dumplings were especially delicious, and the salad and miso soup were especially good. Then the bento box is always fun. The only negative was that the teriyaki chicken could have a little more char on it.“

“We stopped here randomly on a late Sunday afternoon. They weren't busy and we were seated immediately. The woman working was friendly and our food came out very quickly. I've had my fair share of Japanese cuisine and I thought the food here was fantastic! The gyoza were incredible. They were perfectly pan fried and juicy on the inside. The sauce that it came with was so good, it's like nothing I've ever had before, but I wanted to bottle it up and take it with me. My sushi was beautifully plated and so tasty. The fried rice was also very good. I got it plain but it still had so much flavor. Everything was reasonably priced which is always a plus! If you're looking for a good Japanese spot in Carmel, this is it.“

“We love Koku! Best sushi for us in northern Westchester. It's so fresh and flavorful, haven't had a bad meal ever. The ambience is great and the servers are quick and reliable- some are super friendly and great and others not so much.“
“Over the last 20 years or so, there have been several restaurants that leased this location. A few pizza places, and now Exit 4. Although Exit 4 has tons and tons of food options, I find it wildly overpriced for what it is. There is always a long wait for food, and I just don't think the price is justified for a food hall. Despite that, the food is pretty good, and it's good for groups (if you're willing to wait and possibly all eat at different times because everyone's food will likely arrive at different points). Since groups of people tend to have different taste buds and preferences, a food hall like this is an excellent choice, as each person can get whatever type of food they want. The sushi, for example, is really fresh and a yummy option. All in all, not my first choice when I am looking for food in town, but not the last, either.“

“I swear by the lunch special. I have been going to Kira Sushi for many many years and the lunch special has been a go to. 2 or 3 rolls with miso soup and in this case edamame. The lunch special at Kira Sushi has a special place in my heart. I also did a charity event years ago and Kira was nice enough to donate a tray of sushi. A nice place. Thank you!“

“Hirame Sushi is hands down the best sushi restaurant in Yorktown. As a locally family-owned business, they not only serve top-quality sushi but also support the community by employing local students. Every time I walk in, I am greeted by name and the staff knows my order by heart, making me feel like a valued customer. I highly recommend trying the Dragon Ball and Passion Roll - they are absolutely delicious and always leave me wanting more. The freshness of the ingredients and the attention to detail in every dish really sets Hirame Sushi apart from other sushi restaurants in the area. If you're looking for a great dining experience with amazing sushi, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere, look no further than Hirame Sushi. You won't be disappointed!“
