It is not often that you find a restaurant without any criticisms, but then I found Blu. The dining and take-out experiences are how all food establishments should be run. The staff are clearly happy and supported which makes it, without question, a smaller establishment that I am happy to patronize. If you are reading this and considering ordering or not, just do it. “This is the best hibachi in Bergen county. If you are near montvale or saddle river you need to come and try. The atmosphere was beautiful and all staff were extremely helpful and lovely. The sushi is incredibly fresh and the owner is a very nice person. Would definitely come back again.“

“Ordered the Chicken Katsu and Chicken tenders. Both came with sliced cabbage and rice. Both were equally delicious. The breading was perfect and the meat was tender.

They do take reservations and I would recommend making one if you have small children, they have a limited amount of high chairs.“

But what really stood out, was the service. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and quick without ever feeling rushed. They made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. I would like to acknowledge the service of Ashley. She was so nice and really made us know that we didn’t make a mistake going here.

The atmosphere is also a big plus! Warm, clean, and relaxing, with a modern touch that makes it perfect for a casual lunch or a nice dinner out. You can tell they put care into creating an inviting dining environment.

“We were five seconds away from getting hangry and we found this place. we both got the scallion pancakes and the pork ramen. Let me tell you the broth came out hot and plentiful. It was savory and rich. It was such a perfect end to our day. The scallion pancakes were pan fried and not deep fried, which we preferred. They were crispy and soft in the inside. I couldn’t recommend this hidden gem enough.“

“Positive vibes and a great experience. I’ve visited this place several times in person, and I’ve also done takeout a couple of times. The most recent time was takeout. I needed to feed a small group and asked about platter offerings, but was told they don’t have any set menus. They asked what I was looking for and made some recommendations to fit my needs and requested budget.

To say that I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. They delivered and then some. It was a combination of various sushi, regular rolls, and specialty rolls.

They also asked about any potential allergies in the group, along with any specific preferences or dislikes.

The food was fantastic in taste and presentation. It was well packed and came with plenty of ginger, wasabi, and miso soup. They also gave me delicious tea while I waited for them to complete my order.
