“Sushi & Kimchi has become my new favorite comfy, cozy, and cute hideaway in Rockland for when I want the best tasting and authentic Korean and Japanese cuisine. Gina (owner) and Julie (waitress) are both absolutely lovely! Both Gina and the restaurant remind me of what I recall to have been the first Korean/Japanese sushi house in Bardonia, NY that I grew up up dining at in the early 2000’s and up until I moved out of state in 2008. Unfortunately, that location is no longer in business, but Sushi & Kimchi definitely gives all the nostalgic feels! The foos is always fresh and absolutely delicious, the portions are generous, the service is always on point, and you’re welcomed each time with a warm welcome from everyone! It’s a little hidden gem in a parking lot off of Route 59 in Nyack that winds down in the late afternoon and is calm in the evening. The perfect place to go for an overall relaxing experience that will have you leaving full after having enjoyed every last bite! I’ve also ordered through DoorDash and the presentation, temperature, taste and overall quality were all solid as well. Thoroughly impressed!

“I had great time this restaurant with my family!
Their signature Japanese style Hamba-gu is so soft and fluffy. To pair with it, our waitress gave us excellent descriptions about the six different sauces we could pick from. There was the Red Wine Demi-glace, Tomato Marinara, Gorgonzola White Cream, Soy-Onion, Oroshi Ponzu, and Chimichuri. She had recommended me the Soy-Onion sauce. And let me tell you, I am so glad I went with that sauce. It was truly exceptional! It had the perfect balance between it being salty and sweet, pairing perfectly with white rice. Although, I absolutely have to go back to try the other sauces as well!
Their Tonkatsu (Pork Cutlet) reminds me of when I had it in Japan, crispy on the outside but tender and juicy on the inside.
For the side dishes, I recommend are Karaage (a Japanese style of Fried Chicken) and Yuzu Tomato. I also saw some other people having Toro Tartare and Yellow Tail Jalapeño and it looked so delicious!! Another reason to go back!“

“my sister in law brought us to Gen Sushi and Hibachi. The food was amazing from the edamame appetizer to the miso soup to the fresh sushi and the teriyaki chicken. The four of us were all duly impressed with the food and the service!! Dinner started with warm hand towels provided by our kind and efficient server. Our food was not only served in a timely manner but the presentation was extremely impressive.
As we were finishing we noticed the chef preparing a sushi feast. The boat of sushi designed for a group of regular customers was incredible. One woman told us she drove 45 minutes just to have the fresh sushi. That is a high compliment!!
If you aren’t a fan of sushi the menu offers many other options. We will definitely visit again when we are in town.“

“We had dinner at Matsu on Friday......its a little gem in Hillsdale. We were pleasantly surprised, by the quality and quantity of the food. The Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. “I’ve been to Star Sushi several times now, and every single visit has been great. The owner, Anthony, and his staff are always super friendly and welcoming. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers — it’s the kind of place where they remember you and your favorites.

The fish is always fresh and the rolls are consistently delicious! My go to is the Star Tower. The amount of fish is very generous and it blends perfectly well with the rice, avocados, roe and sauces. It’s honestly one of the best sushi spots around, both for the food and the people!“

“This place is a good deal for AYCE! Compared to other AYCE options, this is a very good balance of quality and price. My one complaint was that the staff didn't really explain the system to us at all. There's a premium tier and I was nervously avoiding eel stuff because the menu said unagi was premium tier. But then I saw the back and saw that eel rolls were included in the base tier. Also the kitchen stuff and nigiri ordering also wasn't really explained to us but we managed to figure it out. We will be going again for sure, and had a great experience! I just wish staff took the time to explain how it all worked at first.“

“Food is very good. The sweet potato rolls were good as well as the sashimi app. Sashimi arrived still cold which is a big plus. Chicken teriyaki with fried rice was also good. Everything tasted fresh which I was happy with. No real complaints there.

Only thing to mention is the Chicken teriyaki. It had way much rice and not enough protein. Other than that I’d order again. Probably avoid the teriyaki next time.👍“

Pros: The food again is delicious, good quality. The place is easy to find, it's got parking in front (at least when I came). The staff were nice, friendly and I'm sure they probably know the frequent patrons by name. The food is ready when you call in at the time they state.

Cons: The price was slightly expensive, I'd like to come more frequently but not at those prices. So not a real complaint.“

“Enjoyed a really good dinner meal 🥘 at this restaurant - MATSUYA Japanese Steakhouse in Saddle Brook, NJ. I started off with an Avocado 🥑 and Crab 🦀 Meat Salad with Wasabi Dressing. Then a nice hot bowl of Japanese Miso Soup 🥣. Then went into that Entree - Sea Scallop Teriyaki with Fried Rice 🍚. Yes this place was slamming!!!!!!! “Best Sushi in Yonkers. All the rolls are absolutely fresh and decadent. The quesadillas are excellent as well. A fun mix of Sushi & Mexican. A must go to if ever in Yonkers. I even dare say it is the best sushi in the Bronx. They are located less than 1/3 of a mile from the Bronx border and they deliver to the surrounding neighborhood in the Bronx. I also got the green salad with ginger dressing, which tasted so fresh and flavorful. The shrimp shumai were honestly addictive. They also included veggie gyoza and miso soup on the house, and both were delicious as well. Everything tasted fresh and well made, and I will definitely be returning to Kame Sushi.“

“Really great small place with all you can eat sushi for $32 per person. It even included some appetizers! The sushi was small but a great size when you’re doing all you can eat.

The only downside of this place is that it has a small parking lot you can only park in after 5 pm (which is when the restaurant is officially open for sit down so make sure you check timing) and they charge for WATER. Literally handed me a bottle of water for $2.

I understand soda charges but WATER? That’s a let down and they also do not tell you it’s not free water or not served in a glass. Everything is from a bottle or a can. Be aware of that!
