The fish is all on a bed of veg and looks very bibimbap-like, with a twist (raw seafood). You get a really good portion of different sashimi.We also tried the Usuzukuri appetizer, which is Fluke sashimi with special sauce and roe. I spent 25 years in high end seafood, (wholesale, retail, private chef, and catering) and was blown away by the quality of the fish! The chef was masterful as he balanced every single course (in had the 16) to perfection. He was incredibly skilled and a wonderful artist. The selection of fish from Japan was amazing. I am korean and i need to have my korean food and japanese sushi, sashimi!!!Always great food and service is great. This is our 5th or 6th visit. There are 2 very attentive and friendly waitresses and they are always working. Super great people. Also the sushi chef, the same sushi chef when i go there always greets us when we come in. That is how it should be, greeting customers in a friendly manner. One big thumbs up, the food comes right away, that is the way all restaurants should be. The people working there, especially the woman who has run the counter and I think has managed the place for all the years it’s been open, are fabulous. Times when I get sushi it’s always good, fresh, nice, basically as it should be. Lots of rolls, all of them tight and clean (I like the California roll because I’m basic and I seriously love imitation crab, no joke). But mostly I like “kitchen food,” like the gyoza, the rock shrimp tempura (just those two with white rice is enough for me). The black bean salmon is really good too. The only piece I didn't eat was the octopus - I don't know something about the texture just threw me. I think that's an octopus problem not a Yuki problem. We also got some appetizers like shumai and rock shrimp that were both fine. Not great. Wouldn't order again - but doesn't impact the overall experience. Price was right. Experience was on point.“
