“Never wanted to go in cause the outside isn't that appealing but the food is very very good an there are good portions, Nice staff as well.
Prices have increased in the last couple years, enough to where it's caused me to not go as frequent but I still recommend them for the good an fast food you get.“

“First time take away order from GAR. My family and I loved it! Excellent Pad Thai and Mala Green Beans. Also loved the mini spring rolls and the house hot mustard dipping sauce with it. Its way better than those little packets of hot mustard usually given. Quick service, affordable pricing, great menu variety and very clean looking establishment. I will be calling them again soon, 5/5 stars!“

“We ordered take out so we can't rate the atmosphere. My husband had wor sue gai and I had spicy lo mein with chicken. Generous serving size and best we've had in years. We used to eat here years ago but somehow forgot about this place. That won't happen again. The food is delightful, awesome, and priced fairly!!!!“

“I love this place! I have been eating here since my freshman year of high school and I’m now a senior and so upset I’m leaving for college cause I won’t be able to eat here so often. On a high school kids salary this place is extremely affordable, gives large portions and above all else is delicious. The family working here are extremely kind and generous people who clearly love what they do. I’ve never had a bad meal here and I’ve had almost the entire menu. My favorite is the hot and sour soup and crab Rangoon. He never understood the bad reviews and they even made me scared to eat here but DO NOT TRUST THEM. Until I master my own at home, I'll continue to take flavor profiles from the greats. Sesame oil is perfection in JF1. “I have never in my life eaten at a restaurant 6 days in a row, until I found Asian taste! I had honestly given up on Chinese food for quite some time. I just happened to be working in the area and got the craving for some general tso's, I decided to give it a try. This chicken blew all of my expectations out of the water. All white meat, freshly fried , crispy breading. The crab ragoon was just as fresh and actually had chunks of crab. I am very grateful to have stumbled upon this gem. So far from home, but while I am in the area I will take advantage!“

“The staff is very friendly and very patient. This was helpful for the children that were ordering. They were able to accommodate seating changes as well. The food was all very good, especially the shrimp with lobster sauce.

Vegetarian options: When looking at the menu they had a good selection of vegetarian options that weren't just sides. Ma la string beans and broccoli with garlic sauce are really good if you like a bit of spice.

Parking: There's usually open spots right in front of the diner. If there's an event you might have to park further down, but it's a short walk.

Kid-friendliness: The menu is broken up by protein making it easy for kids to narrow down what they would like to eat. The staff is very patient and will explain clearly what is in the dish making it easy for selective eaters to find something.

Wheelchair accessibility: The door is standard size allowing for most chairs to fit through and there is only a slight bump for the sill. The tables are going to be slightly low for some people, but if you have a tray or have okay reach it shouldn't be a huge issue. All tables and chairs are moveable and staff are willing and able to provide assistance if needed. For the folks with service dogs who would like to sit further from the dining traffic there's a table space towards the front corner of the diner that offers more privacy. There's plenty of room for a medium to large size dog to sit and lay comfortably without being disturbed.“

“BEST CHINESE IN COLUMBUS!! Hands down!! The orange chicken, lo mein & moo goo gai pan are soo good & everything is always hot & fresh. They also have reasonable prices & fast delivery. They are a small takeout restaurant in Southeast Columbus that doesn't look like much, but the looks are deceiving. I won't get Chinese food from anywhere else in Columbus & that's a fact!“

“Update 3/1/2024: Still soo good. It seems that they've improved their ability to handle more customers since this past holiday season.

Previous: Not the best wait times during holidays, but we're not getting food from anywhere else on special occasions. We'll hopefully be able to for years to come :)

I normally get one egg roll, peppered steak and crab rangoons. My food has always been excellent! I want to thank Golden China for doing such an great job and being so friendly.“

Lately I have been stuck on the pork egg foo young…

They are always accommodating here… I don’t mind paying a fee when I add/change how I want my order to come… in the pic I ordered an egg roll and pork egg foo young… I added jalapeños and also wanted the thin rice noodles in stead of rice… I have been on this kick lately and not sure why but multiple Chinese takeout locations will not let me substitute these noodles instead of rice… even after I tell them I am willing to pay extra… I cannot understand why not but I know to just go where I can get what I want…

Location is always clean… i eat in from time to time but I believe the main traffic they see here is take out orders…

“Been here a number of times over the last 2 years and the food always consistent and always phenomenal. Def our favorite local chinese place. We've liked every thing we've tried, there eggrolls and crab rangoon are my favorite that I've had. Always flavorful, never too greasy. And the prices can't be beat. It's got a fun quirky atmosphere inside and every employee I've interacted with has been super friendly. Will continue to order from here for a long time!“

“Absolute perfection. I have no complaints. I always order the general tso's chicken, but my wife's tastes are more diverse, and I've had some bites of her food... it's all just as good. I used to order the house lo mein(not technically on the lunch menu but they'll do it if you ask). It was good as well. Also important is that the lunches are $8.95. You can't get fast food that cheap, and fast food is absolute garbage in comparison. Chinese food like this... it never changes. And that's a good thing.“
