“This is my favorite local Chinese food. I'm new to cbus and I have tried a bunch of Chinese food places since arriving. This is the best one by far. Their food really is so fresh, the sauce they use is the BEST tasting sauce. They are fast, friendly and my order is always correct, with free extras. Last week I got a free soup. LOVE this place.“

“Today we tried Golden China Express for the first time. We loved Hunan Lion, but it has been closed so long after a terrible fire. Golden China Express is very much nearby for us, but we didn't know what to expect.\nWe could not have been more pleased. The Lo Mein and War Sue Gai were delicious and with generous portions. We split a large WonTon Soup which was also delicious.\nIt was a rather large order, as we included friends, and enjoyed the meal together. The online order was easy to complete and it was ready for pickup when promised. There were absolutely no mistakes in the order and we were all pleased with the taste of all the menu items. “Best chinese/sischuan food in town. Ive tried over 1/2 the menu over time and would recommend almost all of it. Some items are very traditional and will have bone in chicken, if you have any questions they can answer them immeadiatly. MUST TRY!!!“

We got the Stirred Fried Water Spinach, spicy beef dry pot, scallion pancakes, beef tripe with chili sauce. Lots of parking outside. Came during lunch on a rainy day so we were seated immediately. Ordered for two people and there was enough to take home for dinner.“

“My previous visit to Molly's was not up to their standards. Reluctantly I gave a poor review thinking nothing would come of it. But I was wrong. The next day I got a call from their head chef. I explained what happened which most of it was about the experience and just a small issue with the actual food. He apologized and wanted to make it right. He said let me know when you are coming back and meal is on us. I came back a few weeks later and checked in like I always do. Just after our food arrived the Head Chef came to our table. He wanted to make sure everything was alright. Everything was perfect. I told him I have been coming here since it opened and the food is always good, but service has been off on occasions lately. This is the first time that someone from a place I gave a review took the time and seemed genuinely concerned and wanted to make it right. He didn't have to do what did. Especially a phone call and a in-person meet. Our server Justin was fantastic, we have had him before and he always does a great job. Thanks Chef Eric. You make a difference. Brought my wife here for a meal to make her feel better, as she was feeling a little under the weather, and I think it really did the trick. She was very happy and pleased with the meal. She had the braised beef noodle soup.

I had the Dan Dan hand stretched noodles, they were quite delicious and satisfying for a spice craving.

The service was great, and they had Boba tea available from the next-door Boba shop.

“My husband and I dined while shopping today! We were in around 1p and we were seated with no wait. Our server Dan was fantastic I highly recommend him. His service made our visit 5 stars! The food was great and came out in perfect timing! Please stop in, we had the spring rolls as an appetizer but I forgot to get a picture of them. I had the Ma Po Tofu with brown rice and my husband got Kung Pow Chicken with the upcharge of lo mein noodles. Our lunch was close to $60 for both of us.“

“Hands down the best Chinese food in the Columbus area. You can order anything from here and you won’t be disappointed. My personal favorite is the spicy wings with green onions. I give them 4/5 stars. I would give 5, but they are a little stingy with sauces and when you ask for more they just give you one more and you don’t want to keep asking for more, so you leave with less sauce than you want lol. “I’ve been eating here for over 15 years, which makes me sad to say that out loud and makes me feel old, but out of those 15 years, I can say they’ve been consistent, and they maybe have made a mistake once maybe twice in that time. I feel like the food is always great. They’re always friendly, and their delivery is truly the fastest I’ve ever seen. Like I swear he’s outside the door with our food as soon as I hit the place order button, it is awesome. I’ve had so many Chinese restaurants that others say are amazing, that I always find bland, and the chicken will have that microwaved flavor but this place never does! “I ordered Kung Pao Chicken for lunch. It was a beautiful combination of fresh and bright vegetables with juicy pieces of chicken. It Had the right amount of kick and the sauce was so flavorful. My favorite part of kung pao is the peanuts that help counter act the spiciness. Which grand china did not disappoint me and had a nice amount of peanuts in the dish! I also loved they used zucchini in this dish it was superb. Lunch is fairly priced at $7 a combination. I will be back to try more dishes !

April 2026 update

I tried their HUGE JUICY FRIED WINGS , were picked up on a Friday night while at the bar few doors down. Super impressed with the flavor, crispiness and size of theses wings. I already loved the traditional Chinese takeout from here and now I have to start picking up these bug juicy wings!

I do think you guys should offer some sweet n sour or even a house sauce to sell along side it too. It would have been a huge hit with the girls! They were kinda mad I had no sauce.“

“Great value for the money. For $35 or so, you can eat dinner and have enough leftovers to feed your family 2 more meals. The food is very tasty and is served quick. There's no atmosphere to speak of, but the restaurant is clean and relatively quiet for a Chinese take out location. This is my go to place for Asian food on a budget.“

“Was in Columbus for a concert and I walked a few blocks here for dinner. I didn’t see sweet and sour shrimp on the menu (only chicken & pork) and asked if they served it. They whipped me up an off-menu speciality on the spot. And it was terrific! Huge shrimp in a delicious sauce, big chunks of green pepper, etc. Their egg rolls were also nice and crunchy which I love and that seems to be harder to find anymore at places I try. The woman working was watching soap operas or something at full volume but I had earbuds in and was too distracted by the tasty meal to mind. “I checked out Hunan Bistro at the old K House location and had a great experience. The restaurant will be getting renovations and remodeling soon, but the food already impressed me.

We ordered the Egg Drop Soup, Hot & Sour Soup, Cucumber Salad, Salt & Pepper Crispy Fish, Mongolian Beef, General Tso’s Chicken, Stir-fried Pork with Chili Peppers, Stir-fried Beef, and Kung Pao Chicken.

My favorites were definitely the Cucumber Salad, Salt & Pepper Crispy Fish, and the Kung Pao Chicken all were packed with flavor and cooked really well. The menu has a lot of great options if you enjoy authentic style Chinese dishes with some spice and variety.

I also had the chance to meet the owner, Cai, and she was super cool and welcoming, which made the experience even better.
