We got the Stirred Fried Water Spinach, spicy beef dry pot, scallion pancakes, beef tripe with chili sauce. Lots of parking outside. Came during lunch on a rainy day so we were seated immediately. Ordered for two people and there was enough to take home for dinner.“

“Saturday evening dining brought a loud and crowded environment. Server was trying to do the best he could but it was obvious they were short staffed. Long wait in between courses and disappointed with the crispy green bean appetizer which came saturated in grease. The tempura was not tasty. Filet Entree was just ok, nothing special. Kudos to the bar tender as he kept the much needed $8.99 cocktail specials coming!“

“One of the best meals I have had in awhile. The service was too notch and our server was very attentive. The atmosphere was nice and the food was delicious. I got the hunan chicken and it was a very large portion so I pretty much got 2 meals out of it. I also got a pot of the ginger peach tea which was very good. Highly recommend!“

“Excellent, delicious food! We spent time in India and had not enjoyed the food as well as today’s meal! The butter chicken (I had lamb) was so flavorful and the dal was delighted my palate on every spoonful. We will be back for more!“

“Great authentic Chinese cuisine. 👌 a wide variety of offerings, the beef rib skewers were delicious, as were the pan seared pot stickers.

Brought my wife here for a meal to make her feel better, as she was feeling a little under the weather, and I think it really did the trick. She was very happy and pleased with the meal. She had the braised beef noodle soup.

I had the Dan Dan hand stretched noodles, they were quite delicious and satisfying for a spice craving.

The service was great, and they had Boba tea available from the next-door Boba shop.

“Crab Rangoon - 10/10. Best I have found in the Columbus. Traditional shape, six in a order, filling is a wonderful blend ( but not blended/pureed), seasoned, overall filling size was prefect. The wonton was fried evenly, tasted fresh and did not taste as if it was fired with other menu items. This was a to go order and they did travel, about 10 mins, and held up well.

Will be back for main menu items and will update my review as I try everything. 😋“

“The food is always done within 10-15 minutes of us ordering. They're good at taking orders over the phone, and polite when we go in to pick it up. The order is never incorrect, no matter what we end up getting. I absolutely love this place because the food is always consistently good and fresh. Some places aren't consistent or their rice is dry and we've literally never had a problem with this place. The best Chinese food around and highly recommend to everyone.“

I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai and was really impressed. The portion was very generous and packed with flavor. The shrimp were fresh, a really good size, and there were plenty throughout the dish. The noodles were flavorful and well prepared, with a nice balance of ingredients that made every bite enjoyable.

I also ordered the Orange Chicken, and it was just as good. The chicken had a great flavor, and I especially liked that it included pieces of real orange, which gave the dish a fresh citrus touch. It came with white rice, and once again, the portions were very generous. You definitely get a good amount of food for your order.

The service was another highlight of our visit. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and welcoming, and they made sure we had everything we needed without making us feel rushed. The combination of flavorful food, fresh ingredients, large portions, and great customer service made for a very enjoyable experience.

The shrimp fried rice reminded me of the shrimp fried rice from the Chinese restaurants in New York. It took me 2 1/2 years to find a Great (Chinese) restaurant. Ping is a great host. She was amazing. Thing brought us out free vegetable rolls and crab Rangoon’s.“

I give them 4/5 stars. This little hidden spot for most folks turned out to be some of the best Chinese food that I have eaten in my life and I have eaten Chinese food all over the world. “It’s always the “hole-in-the-wall” places that are the best and that’s the case with Eastern Wok. They make their dumplings in house and they are SPECTACULAR!!! I haven’t tried anything here that I didn’t like. Everything is stellar and the staff is top notch! They always make sure my kids are enjoying the food (they should know based on how often we come in that they do). Highly recommended and will continue to come back until I move or they close. My absolute favorite place in Columbus been going there since I was about 11 years old and I’m 39 now Family goes there. My children have grown up loving it don’t get it wrong. “This was seriously the best place I have been to since moving to columbus. The restaurant serious felt like home. They provide free water and dishes to eat with your friends and the music is beautiful.
The food itself was incredible, the Mapo Tofu's temperature was perfect, I felt healed as I ate it.
The owner himself is an incredible guy and really made an effort to make the place feel safe and welcoming. He protects his customers, as we are healing from the beautiful food.

“I checked out Hunan Bistro at the old K House location and had a great experience. The restaurant will be getting renovations and remodeling soon, but the food already impressed me.

We ordered the Egg Drop Soup, Hot & Sour Soup, Cucumber Salad, Salt & Pepper Crispy Fish, Mongolian Beef, General Tso’s Chicken, Stir-fried Pork with Chili Peppers, Stir-fried Beef, and Kung Pao Chicken.

My favorites were definitely the Cucumber Salad, Salt & Pepper Crispy Fish, and the Kung Pao Chicken all were packed with flavor and cooked really well. The menu has a lot of great options if you enjoy authentic style Chinese dishes with some spice and variety.

I also had the chance to meet the owner, Cai, and she was super cool and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

“Consistently good food! Authentic Chinese food. I live half an hour away but I crave their food at least a couple times a month. It’s hard to find good food at a reasonable price. They have some dishes that you can’t find at other restaurants in Columbus.“

They whipped me up an off-menu speciality on the spot. And it was terrific! Huge shrimp in a delicious sauce, big chunks of green pepper, etc. Their egg rolls were also nice and crunchy which I love and that seems to be harder to find anymore at places I try. The woman working was watching soap operas or something at full volume but I had earbuds in and was too distracted by the tasty meal to mind. We were surprised that the place had been closed for quite some time as it was our go-to place for Chinese takeout. It has been a staple for Marcus theatre area for many many years. It finally reopened under new ownership, but no sign.

The owner was there to greet us and show us the menu. Very nice guy and felt welcomed. We ordered the orange chicken, bokchoy dish, and chicken egg roll. Food was hot and the bokchoy was our favorite dish. Orange chicken wasn't the best but wasn't bad either (would get again). My only gripe is that the prices are similar to a sit-down full-service restaurant and not your typical take-out Chinese food prices. While I would love to come here again the price is way too high for us as we like to go get a quick meal before a movie, etc. I get it the prices need to be adjusted to match inflation/food costs but the price point before new ownership was so good.

All in all, I do want to try the other dishes as the food was good but it won't be on a regular basis as the prices are not competitive with traditional TOGO Chinese places.

I decided to order some of the fried dumplings, they were so crispy and the inside was so juicy and flavorful! Went to go pick up and the Lady was VERY nice and gave us a calendar! “My husband and I are longtime customers of Hong Kong. He has celiac disease, and they are very understanding about making sure his dishes are gluten free. The staff is always very friendly.
