“This restaurant is absolutely a step above typical Asian restaurants when it comes to flavor, ingredients and spice. My meals are always delicious. DEFINITELY better than Joy Food One. I appreciate how consistently good they are; I probably order from here twice a month, and I’ve never had a bad meal. The steamed pork dumplings and basil chicken are standouts for me, but it’s all great!“

“I met a friend here for dinner. Our meet up was for 6 but I arrived a few minutes early and sat at the bar. Luckily for me I had 7 minutes left for happy hour. I ordered my cocktail ( blackberry bourbon)and theirs as well with spring rolls, crab ragoon wontons, rice, California roll and lettuce wraps. Service was quick and the food and atmospheric was great! The happy hour prices are some of the best for the portion sizes and the wait staff was very pleasant. Unfortunately I didnt get any pics but next time I go Ill make sure to add them.“

“Easily the best Asian restaurant in new Albany. One bite of the meat instantly propels it to the top. Most chicken that comes in general tso's, orange chicken, sesame chicken, etc...is 50% breading and the meat is gristly fatty dark meat pieces. AT is loaded with large chunks of white meat. Clear #1 in town.“

“It’s always the “hole-in-the-wall” places that are the best and that’s the case with Eastern Wok. They make their dumplings in house and they are SPECTACULAR!!! I haven’t tried anything here that I didn’t like. Everything is stellar and the staff is top notch! They always make sure my kids are enjoying the food (they should know based on how often we come in that they do). Highly recommended and will continue to come back until I move or they close. Which I hope neither happens.“

“Hunan King holds a special place in my heart and my stomach of course. I have been coming to this location after moving to Columbus over 10 years ago and Hunan King has been phenomenal, fresh, and made to order without any dish I order being something I wouldn’t come back to countless times.

Today, I was actually indecisive because of how good the dishes are. My go to is General Tso chicken, but the Orange and Sesame chicken are just as amazing. I don’t know any of Hunan Kings names but I know each person there holds immeasurable amounts of integrity. Especially when it comes to serving the community. I have watch this amazing family for years welcome many different people within their establishment. I have watched the growth and refinement of Hunan King and currently. It is still the only Chinese established I frequent. I have moved to Bethal, Dublin, Galloway and Westerville, but I do not hesitate to drive the distance to grab a meal. I don’t hesitate to ask questions because truthfully the family that has been behind Hunan King truly are my friends and have my respect.

I could have a bad day in life and I can visit Hunan King and feel joy through the food and conversation with the staff. I will make sure to ask everyone’s name next time because I really do appreciate you all.

“The food is always done within 10-15 minutes of us ordering. They're good at taking orders over the phone, and polite when we go in to pick it up. The order is never incorrect, no matter what we end up getting. I absolutely love this place because the food is always consistently good and fresh. Some places aren't consistent or their rice is dry and we've literally never had a problem with this place. The best Chinese food around and highly recommend to everyone.“

“Was in Columbus for a concert and I walked a few blocks here for dinner. I didn’t see sweet and sour shrimp on the menu (only chicken & pork) and asked if they served it. They whipped me up an off-menu speciality on the spot. And it was terrific! Huge shrimp in a delicious sauce, big chunks of green pepper, etc. Their egg rolls were also nice and crunchy which I love and that seems to be harder to find anymore at places I try. The woman working was watching soap operas or something at full volume but I had earbuds in and was too distracted by the tasty meal to mind. The shrimp fried rice reminded me of the shrimp fried rice from the Chinese restaurants in New York. It took me 2 1/2 years to find a Great (Chinese) restaurant. Ping is a great host. Golden China Express is very much nearby for us, but we didn't know what to expect.\nWe could not have been more pleased. The Lo Mein and War Sue Gai were delicious and with generous portions. We split a large WonTon Soup which was also delicious.\nIt was a rather large order, as we included friends, and enjoyed the meal together. My absolute favorite place in Columbus been going there since I was about 11 years old and I’m 39 now Family goes there. My children have grown up loving it don’t get it wrong. We were surprised that the place had been closed for quite some time as it was our go-to place for Chinese takeout. It has been a staple for Marcus theatre area for many many years. It finally reopened under new ownership, but no sign.

The owner was there to greet us and show us the menu. Very nice guy and felt welcomed. We ordered the orange chicken, bokchoy dish, and chicken egg roll. Food was hot and the bokchoy was our favorite dish. Orange chicken wasn't the best but wasn't bad either (would get again). My only gripe is that the prices are similar to a sit-down full-service restaurant and not your typical take-out Chinese food prices. While I would love to come here again the price is way too high for us as we like to go get a quick meal before a movie, etc. I get it the prices need to be adjusted to match inflation/food costs but the price point before new ownership was so good.

All in all, I do want to try the other dishes as the food was good but it won't be on a regular basis as the prices are not competitive with traditional TOGO Chinese places.
