50 Best American Restaurants near Concord

“Long time customer from when they took over the yesterdays restaurant. Years ago it was much better. The spaghetti was really a bolognese sauce that was AMAZING and would have been a $20 plate in other restaurants. That was 20 years ago. When they went to a marinara I asked why? And the owner told me no one would order it with the name bolognese lol. And they wanted a simple marinara sauce. Oh well. The rest of the menu started to suffer some when they started to open more restaurants. They started to not give a dinner roll when they use too, less stuff on a simple side salad. Saving a penny here and there. I know others that feel the same way. Mary's is still a good place. Fast service, always seem friendly lol. But it use to be very very good. Breakfasts are always great. Not much to change there. But some things show the cut backs to seemingly fund more restaurant. We use to go far more often then now. But we still go, and still happy with everything. But if you are a long term customer you saw the changes. Scale of 5 stars I would have gave it a solid 5 before. And I am a TOUGH grader on things as you can tell. Now about a 3.75. Service 4.75 Price 4.50 Food 3.00 I place a heavier value on the food as it is the real reason people go to a restaurant. TO EAT. Madison and Geneva is better to have them for sure. But we have so few good restaurants. What we need is a good deli. Not sure why but everything is pizza or fast foods or Italian. “They are in the old Puritan Bakery building. Nice decor, great breakfast choices. I grew up around here and its nice to see the building reused like this. My wife and I came in town to visit my sister's and brother for Christmas. I'm a breakfast kind of guy and they hit all the right spots for me. Great menu choices. I had their southwest chorizo skillet with 2 eggs over easy cooked to perfection. Put this on your must go to list. We will be back next time we are in town. Excellent friendly service. Lots of regulars popping in and out, said hello to by name by the waitress.“

“Where do I start ? Came for dinner Wednesday night and then came for dinner Thursday again. That should say something . I’m beyond impressed by the Staff and the establishment, it beyond exceeded my expectations. We have a lot of fine dining in the Poconos region with some higher end restaurants and this place exceeded them. The quality of the food is superior. Take a look at some of the pics of the food we ordered. Ended up meeting Sean the head chef and impressed how he runs his kitchen , everything goes with the flow . Make sure you make a reservation :) we ended up not making one and we got seated over looking the kitchen and it was the best place. You see all the action. Can’t wait to come back from Poconos. “Food is good, however in the past they along with other restaurants showed appreciation for Veterans by offering a complimentary meal to the Veteran(s) on Veterans Day. They don't do that anymore. Now its a complimentary ice cream desert and a gift card for an appetizer for your next visit. Don't come here Veterans... dont come here on Veterans Day. Go to Outback or Applebee's where you can actually feel appreciated the one day out of the year.“

“This was my first visit to Campola's.
Al had taken my reservation and also welcomed us warmly when our party of five arrived. Turns out that he also made our food and helped to serve it with smiles. Our table on the patio was set and ready for us when we arrived, and water was brought immediately without asking, as were extra napkins. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. Each of us chose a different type of food, and all of us thought that what we had was delicious...from the pepperoni roll appetizer, to pizza, to a cheesesteak sandwich, to pasta dishes, and cannoli for dessert. One friend gave me a taste of one of her meatballs, and it was so tender and tasty...I think I'll have to come back for a pasta dish with those meatballs! When we were nearing the end of our meal, a very nice gentleman arrived and sang and played nice songs on guitar. He was not too loud so that we could still socialize together. Our server gave a wonderful description of unique options on the menu and was clearly very knowledgeable of everything Austin's had to offer. “Nice little spot off the highway. We stopped for a bite on the way home and were quite happy with the result. It got quieter through the night while there but the atmosphere was great and cleanliness was top notch. There was a lot of options for burgers from your basic to ones with a lot of add-ons. Unlike most places, there was not a ton of salt used evem on the fries and it wasnt overkill on it. Surprising for a burger place. There was a ton of options for beer on tap as well as your usual alcohol options. Our waitress was fairly attentive without being overbearing but was always within earshot to help us. Great place and would definitely go again when back in the area.“

“My parents took me out for my 57th birthday to celebrate. When we arrived we were seated immediately which was really nice. We had an amazing waitress by the name of Jenna. Service was impeccable our meal was brought out in a timely manner and the food was very delicious.Everything we needed she never had any problem with going to get and I am really grateful and thankful again for the experience that she gave to us being there. We need more waitresses like her that make you feel special in spite of your skin color. Thank you Jenna for making our experience at the roadhouse a good one.“

“1st time there. Read a lot of good reviews about Sammy’s. Had spaghetti and meatballs. Yes, spaghetti and smeatballs on a Friday! Came with soup and salad and garlic toast which was very good also. Very very busy. Waitresses were husselling at a fast pace but all were very nice and kind and kept a smile on their faces!!! Also took a piece of key lime pie home for later. ? mmmmm soooo good! “This is my go to local drinking and cooking water source. The water is fresh tasting with a slight mineral flavor.

Water is 50c / gallon when you bring your own jugs. Gallon jugs are for sale in the restaurant on site.

Filling stations are plentiful and easily accessed by anyone. They are sitting on the edge of a beautiful large pond/lake well stocked with many many visible trout.

If you bring your kids, buy some pellets and feed fish. It’s fun to watch!“

“Food true Italian, Great sauce big portions. 2 meatballs with every dish. The only thing I suggest is better bread and butter as the roles were not a fresh as they could be. “My sister, niece and I went to the Mentor Applebee's and had a wonderful experience. Brittany, our server was great. She was very pleasant and we enoyed the interaction with her.
