“Placed a delivery order. Fellow who answered phone was pleasant and professional.
Order arrived earlier than promised.
We ordered two salads, thin crust pizza, pint of cole slaw, and a box of steak fries.
All intended hot items were hot. Salads were crispy and fresh.
We are always pleased with meals.“

“I will be honest, I haven’t eaten there yet but just had the greatest experience that restored my faith in humanity just a little bit. I was in the Akron area for training with TNVC and I assume my iPad was stolen. Today it pinged at someone’s house and then it pinged in the parking lot of the Basement a few hours after I locked it and left a message for the would be thief. I called and spoke with Stephanie, and after explaining what had happened she was king enough to walk to the parking lot while I pinged it. The thief had dumped my iPad in the dumpster, thankfully not too deep. I just wanted to say that Stephanie was amazing for being such a good person and helping someone with no expectation of receiving anything in return. Next time my family and I are in the Akron/waterloo area I will make sure I patronize The Basement if only to help repay a bit of the kindness shown! This is how a neighborhood restaurant does it!“

“Edit: 5 stars to 4, because the white pizza was very good. Maybe they ran out of brisket this weekend? I was really looking forward to enjoying my favorite pizza, but there was hardly any meat on it at all. The entire pizza had the amount of meat that one piece usually has. Also, I didn't taste any BBQ sauce. I wonder if they even gave me the correct pizza. I sure hope they didn't skimp because it was BOGO.

“Anything I've ever tried off the menu here has been delicious. They have specials for each day and I recommend trying the special of the day. Also they make great drinks ! I recommend the Jamaican Mule, I get it every time, it's delicious. Food wise you can't go wrong. The owner throws down in the kitchen, especially with the seafood and burgers. Talk about good seasoning, everything's seasoned delightfully. My favorites so far are the Shrimp Quesadillas (Tuesday is quesadilla day) , their Summit Lake fries and every Friday is fish Friday with a great deal on yellow tailed perch fried to perfection. This place is tastier than any sit down restaurant in the area trust me. 10/10“

“I recently ordered the Chicken Hibachi Combo Meal with Broccoli, Carrots, Onions, Zucchini, and Fried Rice with two additional Yum Yum Sauces. It was pretty good. I would order again. I particularly liked the Fried Rice with Vegetables.“

“Bar maid's boy friend was at the end of the bar. Needless to say he got 80% of her attention. It was difficult to spend money or get a drink. Food tasted great. Although my French dip sandwich came with enough dip for about two bites. I would guess it was just the bar maid doing a poor job. She spent a lot of time in the kitchen. The Thursday day bar tender needs a different job. I will return hoping for better service.“

The chicken lived up to its reputation . Crunchy on outside moist and flavorful on inside .choice of bread white and rye while enjoying salad . The fish lightly breaded with lemon and black pepper mixed in perfection with breading .pleasantly flaky and moist . Vegetables that have such appeal . If you like French fries ,better be hungry the portions are a pleasant surprise having that just right texture .clean, friendly, welcoming atmosphere . handicap accommodations in seating and restrooms. The expectation was exceeded . The price $55.00 tip included . Once you've experienced the offerings,you will be making your way back . But then the manager took charge and refunded the entire cost of my pizza. When I brought it home, we ate it and it was delicious as usual!
