“I will be honest, I haven’t eaten there yet but just had the greatest experience that restored my faith in humanity just a little bit. I was in the Akron area for training with TNVC and I assume my iPad was stolen. Today it pinged at someone’s house and then it pinged in the parking lot of the Basement a few hours after I locked it and left a message for the would be thief. I called and spoke with Stephanie, and after explaining what had happened she was king enough to walk to the parking lot while I pinged it. The thief had dumped my iPad in the dumpster, thankfully not too deep. I just wanted to say that Stephanie was amazing for being such a good person and helping someone with no expectation of receiving anything in return. Next time my family and I are in the Akron/waterloo area I will make sure I patronize The Basement if only to help repay a bit of the kindness shown! This is how a neighborhood restaurant does it!“

“The ONLY reason for four starts on the food is the quantity of grease/oil that is on the pizza. It’s a lot of oil and would definitely be 5star if they can find a way to get the pizza to be the same but deduct how much oil is used so the bottoms of the slices aren’t so wet in the oil. Even then the pizza is still a solid four! High recommend this place for pizza.“

“One of the nicest looking pizza places I've seen and a pizza so fresh and crispy I about burnt my finger ops off and had greese dripping down my hand. Satisfying crunch and a great balance of salty and savory with a pickle and meat combo. Staff was super friendly and helpful.“

“Anything I've ever tried off the menu here has been delicious. They have specials for each day and I recommend trying the special of the day. Also they make great drinks ! I recommend the Jamaican Mule, I get it every time, it's delicious. Food wise you can't go wrong. The owner throws down in the kitchen, especially with the seafood and burgers. Talk about good seasoning, everything's seasoned delightfully. My favorites so far are the Shrimp Quesadillas (Tuesday is quesadilla day) , their Summit Lake fries and every Friday is fish Friday with a great deal on yellow tailed perch fried to perfection. This place is tastier than any sit down restaurant in the area trust me. 10/10“

“I ordered for the first time on door dash and I got the catfish meal with the Mac and yams. A side of potato salad. The catfish was cooked to perfection the Mac was wonderful! The yams were pretty good I wish they were a little softer but still pretty good... the potato salad was disappointing I'm not sure which seasoning was adding but it was just too much for me I would only take two bites and had to throw it out... but overalll the food was good! I would definitely be back!!!“

“I recently ordered the Chicken Hibachi Combo Meal with Broccoli, Carrots, Onions, Zucchini, and Fried Rice with two additional Yum Yum Sauces. It was pretty good. I would order again. I particularly liked the Fried Rice with Vegetables.“

“OMG was just out doing a little shopping and decided to try this restaurant. I got the teriyaki chicken and the old school sub for my husband and we both said it was delicious!!!!! “I only order about 6 pizzas a year. I make a good one. I have been ordering here for a year. Used to be a big fan of the local Gioninos. Over decades, constant orders wrong, rude or hour late delivery. Dominos is great. The pizza is always hot, as ordered and early. The delivery people are professional and pleasant. It is not the Dominos I grew up with. I did have one issue that I think was user error. When I contacted them to adjust the bill, they were responsive, timely and professional.“

“This Pizza Hut is way better than the rest! Somehow my order got spilt up and they didn’t get the second half but I was still charged. At another Pizza Hut I know they would have told me to take it up with corporate but not this one! They quickly made me the rest of my order without giving me any hassle ! They are awesome!“

When I arrived in town on my most recent visit to visit my brother on Springfield Lake next to Highway 224 in Akron I noticed this establishment had hand breaded beer, battered mushrooms, I had to get an order of the hand breaded beer battered mushrooms for myself… large, almost to large, good batter.. i’ll probably not have another order of these, but I will have something else before I leave town from this fine Mexican cuisine establishment.
I’ll probably get their quesadilla yeah, coming from Florida and Texas gives me a window into the art of quesadilla“

“Today was actually the first time I had ordered from East of Chicago Pizza my mom said she ordered some there all the time and she actually recommended it to me and my daughter it happened to ask me to try it so I did excellent service Thank you so much“

“Do not be turned away by the fact that this is inside a gas station, while that seems a bit weird, there is a real restaurant grill kitchen and someone making the food fresh. The food is phenominal. I doordashed three piece box with potato wedges, Honey Biscuits and jambalaya. The only negative thing I can say is that I didn't get the potato wedges. The chicken was hot and tasted fresh and juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside. I love the flavor of the Cajun spices. The jumbalaya was pretty good, a bit dry but I think that was because it cooled down. The biscuits are insane.“

Also the doordash driver for the first part of delivery didn’t really seem to care about the situation but the Papa John’s driver that brought the rest was absolutely amazing!“

“I ordered through DoorDash last night and got the 6pc meal that came with 4 individual sides and 4 biscuits. It was the best food from a KFC I’ve ever had! The food was actually almost too hot to eat at first! It all tasted so fresh like it was just made to order (mind you this was at 8:30pm so I wasn’t expecting it to be that fresh). The order was correct and packaged with care. And kudos to the DoorDash driver for their speedy delivery after picking it up!“
