“We ordered 4 large pizzas the other night for pick-up. When I walked into the store, Nick was busting his butt to get orders ready. They may be short handed, but they were still getting things done. Nick was moving so fast to get orders ready and still carried on a conversation with me. He was friendly, pleasant to talk to, had me laughing, and was working so hard to get things done. All 4 pizzas were perfectly made and hot hot hot! Thank you, Nick for doing such an amazing job!! Hope you get more help soon. ☺️“

“I placed order online around 10:40pm . I then received a call from the store saying that didn’t have a delivery driver and it’s almost closing time and I may not receive my order . Phone conversation didn’t help me feel confident I’d get my two pizzas I ordered through the web after a long day at work myself. Mins later I get a hard knock on door and it was Papa John’s . I wasn’t in best mood but I was grateful because I have small kids that needed something quick to eat . I gave the driver a $20 tip just because I genuinely appreciate my order being delivered .

“I used to work at this location a couple years ago, I went back recently when visiting family in Ohio and had a positive experience. I remember the Owner Curt and Dm Chris were always super kind and made regular visits to the stores to check in on their managers. Always affordable and quality pizza. ??“

“I will be honest, I haven’t eaten there yet but just had the greatest experience that restored my faith in humanity just a little bit. I was in the Akron area for training with TNVC and I assume my iPad was stolen. Today it pinged at someone’s house and then it pinged in the parking lot of the Basement a few hours after I locked it and left a message for the would be thief. I called and spoke with Stephanie, and after explaining what had happened she was king enough to walk to the parking lot while I pinged it. The thief had dumped my iPad in the dumpster, thankfully not too deep. I just wanted to say that Stephanie was amazing for being such a good person and helping someone with no expectation of receiving anything in return. Next time my family and I are in the Akron/waterloo area I will make sure I patronize The Basement if only to help repay a bit of the kindness shown! This is how a neighborhood restaurant does it!“

“I know I'm not the only one who is singing the praises of Boss ChicknBeer, but I almost cried with joy just reading the menu last night. The staff was very accommodating and funny to boot. I asked what a Tupac was, and was informed that he was a rapper from the '90s who was tragically taken out in his prime. 🤣 (it's two chicken strips, a sauce, and a side. I did walk into that... ) Beer, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, mac & cheese... oh my tots! I cannot wait to get back there! 😍“
