“🌿 Hillgarten Brewery – Hilliard’s Hidden Gem 🌿7.6 out of 10! What a beautiful surprise tucked away in Hilliard! Hillgarten’s expansive outdoor space was hands down the highlight of the night. With wide-open seating, tree-covered areas, and cozy hanging lights, the vibe was equal parts romantic and relaxed. 💫 The beer selection? Exactly what you want in a neighborhood brewery—a perfect variety of drinkable, staple brews that suit all tastes. On a hot summer evening though, I would’ve loved to see a frosted glass option—the beer warmed up a little too fast for my liking. We ordered the giant pretzel, which definitely delivered on size! The beer cheese was decent, but we were hoping for a bit more creativity or a “mystery dip” option to spice it up. Also… just give us one good cup of cheese with it instead of making everyone upgrade for a second portion. Small thing, but it stood out. As the sun set, the whole place started to feel like something out of a movie. Couples celebrating engagements, friends laughing over cornhole in the corner, and a casual, easy energy. The only thing missing? Some live music, especially for a Saturday night. 🎶 We found ourselves lost in conversation… time honestly stood still. It felt both lively and private, which is a rare combo these days. If I had one other piece of feedback, it’d be for a slightly bigger food menu and maybe a kiddo cut-off time around 7 PM, just so the evening crowd can fully settle into adult mode. “Tried Legacy Smokehouse in Hilliard downtown last night. Food was amazing and everyone there was super nice and friendly! Had a half rack of Baby Backs, 1/2 pound of Brisket, 1/4 pound Pulled Pork, Mexican street corn and baked beans. Everything was top notch! My favorites were the brisket (got the fattier cuts and it was possibly the most tender, moist, briskett I’ve ever had), the Mexican Corn (my wife and I both loved it), and I REALLY loved their mustard bbq sauce! Ribs, beans, and pork were great too but the brisket just really stopd out! The building is super cool as well but I got my food to go. I’m a bit of a bbq snob. Locally thusfar, Ray Rays is one of my favorites I’ve had a few times but Legacy might have them beat!“

Friendly staff that made sure you got exactly what you ordered and inquired about the food after you were finished to make sure you were pleased with the food. Located in the new Downtown Exchange.“

“The food is off the chart. Definitely my go to Chinese food place. The service is ok. When you order you better know your phone number when you go to pick it up because communication is not there strong suit. The inside looks worn out and dirty but that food though isn't!!! Overall they get 89% there tasty food carries them!!“

“Quirky atmosphere with great food. My son got the French toast and it was so good. It was French toast bites, so a crisp to it and delicious. I got the brisket omelet, the portion was huge! Not a huge bean person but the black beans in this omelet were so well cooked and well seasoned. All around good quality and taste and looks of interesting decor to look at. “We went late at night on off hours when they were very few people. The staff was very nice and willing to make off menu drinks as they have a fully stocked bar. I had a Tom Collins. The bartender knew how to make it without looking it up. The food was amazing and they have like a salad bar but with chips and salsa. Salsa's a tad bit spicy but very easily manageable. The location is far deep in Hilliard off in the cut.“

“The vegetarian Impossible Whopper is delicious! It's a large burger, so I ask them to cut it in half and wrap each half separately. So, I get two meals from that one burger. Making it vegan friendly, without cheese, what I generally do anyhow. Try it! Enjoy it with onion rings or fries .“

“It was my first time and I was a little confused about the menu. Being the first time I ordered the Freddy's original. Did not really understand the concept and ended up getting a burger with onions and mustard only. I had them hold the pickles. I got Tater tots, small, and a drink with the full meal at $11+.
I felt the price was exorbitant considering the meal I got. The service was great and they told me I needed to get the sauces for the full effect. I'll know better the next time I go on how to order but it still will be expensive“
