“Went to Middle Bass Island for the first time and came across The Island Grind. Super cute place to sit and have a coffee/smoothie and breakfast. We got a strawberry bagel and it was amazing. We also got strawberry and banana smoothies and they were SO good. Next time we’re in the area we will definitely be back. I”

“For being one of 3 food places on the island it’s not bad. The pizza was okay nothing special and we ordered twice from here( over phone for pick up) food was always ready when I got there. I did like my Italian sub….I also got us a soft pretzel with cheese and I wouldn’t get that again. 9.99$ for a regular sized pretzel and the bottom of the pretzel was hard. I also paid the extra 1$ for the mustard and I didn’t care for it.”

“With the name Resort in the title, you may expect 4 or 5 star accommodations. Hazards is not The Hilton. What you get are camp chalets, cabins and some of the nicest staff and crew that love where they work and live. It’s the family friendly version of Put In Bay. Adults who are looking to cut loose without the drama you may get elsewhere. Hazards on Middle Bass is a little slice of heaven. You will deal with the nature that comes with island life. So leave those complaints at home. Plenty of bugs. But there is also beautiful wildlife such as swans, eagles and lots of brown rabbits. During the day, cozy up to the pool with plenty of seating. At night, cut loose with live entertainment. The staff will give you plenty of advice on where to explore on the island. And they will be ready with a smile everytime you walk in the front door. I can’t say enough about how fun this place can be.”

“I had lunch at the Goat today and not only was the food and service excellent, but the owner went out of his way to make sure our day trip ended on a high note. My bike got a flat tire and he insisted on hauling my bike and myself to the ferry. This 70 year old greatly appreciated his kindness and you can be sure we will support the Goat every time we visit the island.”

Parking: It’s the island! So get to find a free parking spot out front in the street.”

“I actually love the place. Unfortunately on our last visit we ordered prime rib which was without a doubt the worst I have ever had. I would think they'd be embarrassed to serve it and to charge $25 was robbery at its finest. Very disappointing from a place I typically enjoy.”

“The best place to stay while in the area. This was our second time staying at the Red Fern. We stayed in the Kelly's Island room, which was appropriate since we were headed to Kelly's Island the next day. The room was immaculately clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are decorated nicely with a nautical theme. The Inn was an elementary school, and they did a great job of converting it into an inn. It's very roomy and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. You are close to the shops and restaurants in Marblehead, and probably the best thing is the lower half is a winery. Also, the Kelly's Island ferry is located about 5 minutes away. Forgot to mention, you get a complimentary bottle of wine with your stay.”
