“I’d been drooling over GSB’s pastries on Facebook for months like a sugar-starved stalker, and I finally found myself in the area—hallelujah. The second I walked in, I was hit with a wave of sugary air and a warm hello that felt like a hug from a cinnamon bun. There were so many treats I wanted to adopt, but the second I saw the giant, chocolate-covered cream puff, it basically yelled, “Take me to your husband!” Mission accepted. I brought it home and casually told my husband, “Hey, I picked up a little pastry for you.” Hours later, he opened the bag and said—verbatim—“Holy #%?!”. This thing was an absolute unit. At least six inches tall, overflowing with fresh whipped cream like it was showing off. We both took a bite and just stared at each other like we’d seen pastry heaven. It was rich, cloud-like, and somehow not overly sweet. My husband, a self-proclaimed cream puff connoisseur, declared it the best he’s ever had. And trust me, the man has puff experience. Only one thought: throw in a middle pastry layer, Big Mac-style. Not because it needs it, but because my jaw would appreciate the break from climbing Mt. Cream Puff.“

“Such a great coffee shop! The Cafe de Olla is amazing, and the empanadas and guava rolls were equally as impressive! To top it off, the owner is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I mentioned that I had kids, and she took the time out of her day to show me around the building and told me all about the art museum’s exhibits (the cafe currently shares a space with the Cleveland Art Museum’s Community Arts Center) that she thought my kids might enjoy. I can’t wait to see all of the additional offerings when the new location opens!“

With the beach and playground nearby, it's a great option to grab a bite to eat and I was genuinely surprised at how good the food was. The ice cream of course is amazing. “The price was different than what’s posted online so that needs to be updated but what I got was a quality cup of oatmeal To-go. The fruit was fresh and she made the oatmeal consistency perfectly, added milk with no extra charge so to me it was worth $10 with all of that fruit. I’m here for a short work trip and I’m not finding quality in this part of downtown so it’s likely that I will be back here again. I also had a cortado earlier and it was perfection. On top of that the service was nice, they were friendly and kind, just what you need when you’re away from home.On another occasion I got breakfast and it was beautiful and cooked perfectly.
