“New Favorite Italian Spot! We came here for my brother’s rehearsal dinner, and wow—Matteo’s absolutely blew us away! My husband and I loved everything we had: the lemon chicken was tender and flavorful, the Alfredo cavatelli was creamy perfection, and the sausage and meatballs were just incredible. Honestly, I can’t even pick a favorite—they were all that good. The bread and butter? Probably the best we’ve ever had. The cozy, old-town vibe of the location just added to the charm, and the service was top-notch. You can really feel the care and warmth of a true mom-and-pop Italian place. We’ve officially found our new go-to spot. If you’re a fan of Italian food and great hospitality, do yourself a favor and check out Matteo’s!“

If you plan on going to the establishment on a busy night you will need to make a reservation because their seating area is a little small but allows for a more romantic atmosphere. However my wife and I choose to go on a Sunday night which didn't require a reservation. 2. Their homemade dipping sauces for myself were a little plaid except for the one that was just extremely spicy.“

“It’s impossible to say how good it is there. The food is always top notch. Any item on the menu is executed with care and technical skill. The service is always fantastic. A neurologist friend took me here many years ago as a graduation celebration from nursing school. I’ve been coming back ever since, and I’ve never had a disappointment for a night or meal. “We had Old Carolina cater our wedding this last Saturday (2.24.24) at Lake Affect Studios in Cleveland, OH and we cannot thank the staff enough. We opted for a buffet option which worked out so well. We are still getting compliments on how delicious the food was. When we were thinking about food for our wedding, I knew I wanted a barbecue buffet! Once we saw they were on the preferred list of vendors for Lake Affect Studios it was a no brainer and we went with them as our first choice. We used to love eating at Old Carolina when they had a restaurant in Mentor, OH. Kelsey was so helpful in answering all of my questions leading up to wedding day, and assisting with the set up the day before. They did an amazing job keeping everyone fed and the staff was friendly and efficient. They let us take home left over food and we were able to enjoy the barbecue even after our big day. She was missing the foods from her home, and a true Spanish restaurant is hard to find. A friend said he heard about Sangria Y Tapas so we immediately changed our plans and headed to Westlake. She smiled the entire time we were there and spoke Spanish with the owner a mile a minute. She said it did her heart good and the food was truly Spanish. The service was spectacular! We will definitely be crossing over to the west side to visit this fabulous establishment again!“

We get the same things all the time because they're delicious. I take my family and friends and everyone loves it!! I walk in and they usually know my order. Friendly service, clean, nice atmosphere, and very good food!! The owner does come around to make sure your satisfied with everything, which really was impressive to us. We dine in as well as carry-out and highly recommend this restaurant for excellent southern comfort food!!“

“We have been a few times and it never disappoints.
I get the Poutine (an appetizer) for my meal. It has a nice smoky flavor on the brisket.
My husband got The Mother Clucker that had a garlic parmesan sauce. He got a $2 sample size of a new red ale, liked it enough to get the full size.
We usually get 3 wing for an appetizer and it is enough for us to split because they are so big.
We got the donuts for dessert - YUM they come out warm with chocolate and blueberry sauces. Delicious
The only negative would be a person in our party had hearing aids. They found the high ceiling cause loud ambient noise level and they ended up turning their hearing aids off.“

“We have been coming here for a few years a couple of times a week. We have never had a bad meal or dining experience there. We have made friends with the staff and some of the customers. Good service good food, who could ask for more.“

“If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I absolutely would.

I first found this restaurant about a year ago when my boyfriend and I happened to pass by and decided to give it a try. I still remember the first time they brought out the soup with chopped onions on the side. I was honestly shocked by how good it was. That soup immediately became one of those flavors I knew I would never forget.

I loved the food so much that I came back again with a friend, and then came back a third time before I eventually left Cleveland.

I’ve been living away from Cleveland for more than a year, and recently I drove back from Chicago because I’ll be staying here for the next two months. When I thought about where I wanted to eat first, this restaurant was immediately at the top of my list. I literally drove about 40 minutes just to come here.

At first I was a little confused because the restaurant has a different name now. I only found it again because I had previously shared the address with my friend. When I walked inside and saw the restaurant, I immediately recognized it and thought, “YES, this is the place!”

And somehow, after all this time, the food is STILL just as amazing as I remembered.

The lamb and rice are incredible. The fish is something I order almost every single time. And the HUGE fresh bread is unbelievably good — seriously, you HAVE to eat it right after it comes out while it’s still hot and fresh. It is absolutely amazing.

And then there is the soup. I genuinely think I will remember that soup for the rest of my life. I have tried other Yemeni restaurants while I was away, but nothing has ever tasted quite as good as this place.

Because I lived far away for so long, I couldn’t come here often, but I never forgot the flavor. I would actually think about this food from time to time while I was gone.

Finding this restaurant again after more than a year honestly made me so happy. Same owner, same incredible food, and still one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Cleveland.

100000/10. Completely worth the 40-minute drive, and I will definitely be coming back again while I’m here. ❤“

“I recently had a party catered on 4/13/24 by the North Royalton location. I just want to start off by saying everything was great! From the time I ordered it a week prior and working with Tina, to the delivery service being on time and the food hot and ready. Wonderful service! People were raving about the food, especially the fried chicken. We were a little bit past their delivery area, but they still delivered to us. I would recommend Mama Julianne’s Pizza for everyday and catering needs!“
