“It was our first time visiting this establishment and we will definitely return. The food (crab cake, blackened snapper, and lobster ravioli w/shrimp) all flavorful with nice portion size. The drinks (old fashion, blackberry peach margarita and blood orange side car) made by Ashley were exactly how they needed to be. Our server Ebony was great, very attentive and gave honest recommendations. We were even gifted an extra meal that we were thankful for.“

“Exceptional! At in Bar area and it was perfect. Onion Soup best there is. I had the American Waygu steak and it is excellent and very reasonably priced. My husband felt like a burger and they have #1 burger and the hashbrowns are amazing. All in all outstanding experience.“

I was expecting flavor fireworks, but it was more like a flavor fizzle. The avocado was the highlight though! The fries were fresh and tasty, and the house-made ranch? Chef’s kiss. Now the food is atrocious and costs more than it should.

This place isn't reinventing the wheel but sometimes you just want a place where you know the food is consistent and tastes the same every time you order it.“

“My first visit was a resounding success! I ordered the fish sandwich and fries along with an order of soul rolls. The fish was delicious and I was really full from it, but I had to bite into one of the soul rolls. Before I knew it, I had ate half of it and I knew I was full already. It was just so delicious that I couldn’t stop taking bites. Everything was prepared fresh and I didn’t wait long either. I definitely recommend them and will be back myself.“

Moved to CLE from the dirty south and had the hardest time finding good food up here. Then I found Calypso's. They got the flavor, the spices, aaaaaaallll the sauce, and the sweetest employees. How such a small joint can be pushing out so much goodness is a wonder to me, and I loooove it!!!“

The service was top-notch and when the food came out, oh my. I had the red snapper and was blown away. The presentation of the plate of eye catching. The taste of food was mouthwatering good. I pierced the fish with macaroni and cheese and yams. After takes the macaroni and cheese, I ordered some to go. I have the smoked old-fashioned and it was one of the best that I’ve had in a long time. I impression was I’m not sure how I got such a great meal at a value price.
