“We visited today and had a fabulous experience. The staff was helpful and friendly. The cafe itself was well appointed (actual silverware, not plastic), water carafes available along with lemon slices for no extra charge, clean, bright - even the soap in the bathroom smelled wonderful! But the almond croissants were amazing. Not to sound pretentious, but we've eaten almond croissants in Paris and they didn't even come close to the greatness of what we ate at Sophie's. The latte I had and the espresso my husband had was also delicious. We were in the area, traveling across the great divide from the west side of the county, and are so glad we stopped in. It would be a challenge to the waist line if we lived closer but we will certainly add regular visits to Sophie's even if it's just for coffee and an almond croissant. Also, the painting of Sophie at the front door is wonderful. Our own Sophie-dog crossed over the rainbow bridge last year so the painting was extra special to us. Run, do not walk, to this wonderful cafe.“

“The cinnamon raisin loaf I've been dreaming about my entire life. Fresh baked, it's beyond comprehension. The French loaf is equally delicious. A culinary treasure in our backyard.“

Last week however, (not the workers fault though) online it said on Tuesday (very early like 3am) that they still had the biscoff Dubai brownie (sometimes they have them leftover from previous week) but I ordered it online for pick up in morning…. Mind you getting Dubai anything costs an extra $1.50… I ordered 3 & when I got there they told me that they didn’t have it bc it was for previous week. Every other store online didn’t have it online shown but they did. I ended up picking 2 cookies that weren’t anything I wanted but I never got refunded or anything. I spent an extra 4.50 for the Dubai brownie but was still owed $ for the other one I didn’t get. Super bummed“

I found them at UH farmers market but will definitely be ordering more.“

The cheese and apricot folded croissants were delicious, the adorable flower cupcake moist and beautifully decorated, and the bread loaf perfect with our lunch. These are the type of cookies you bring to a party and you buy their little cookie cutter and it cuts them in like six pieces I think. Then everyone gets to try a little wedge of all the different flavors and it's fantastic and fun!“

Made two trips here during our short stay in the area, including getting a half dozen to go home with and so glad we did. All the flavors we tried have been delicious and the prices are affordable. We purchased a nut roll, 1 apricot Danish, a pound of nut kolachkis, 2 cupcakes, 1 chocolate bomb, 1 brownie and 2 dozen pierogies. Firs, the good....the apricot Danish was the best I have ever had. My son enjoyed the chocolate bomb.The cupcakes were average and we were definitely expecting more for $4.50 each. The kolachkis are very dry and disappointing. My husband tried 1 bite of the brownie and threw it away. 3 of the 4 sides were rock hard. We haven't tried the pierogies, but I'm hoping they are as good as in years past. Fingers crossed for the nut roll tomorrow morning as well. After spending over $77 we had hoped for a better experience.“

The schnitzel, mashed potatoes, stuffed cabbage, paprikash, Slovenian sausage. Quality ingredients, fresh, perfectly seasoned and prepared. You can tell the people making your food do it with a passion.
Every time I am in Cleveland, I will absolutely make the drive, no matter where I am staying. Places like this are what made Cleveland and should be cherished and respected.“

Restroom room is a 7 out of 10. Chose their pasta, meat Stromboli, spinach & sausage Stromboli, eggplant, red tortellini pasta & of course their cannoli, lady locks - the young man who help was sweet & kind, warmed up everything.
