“We will not be returning to eat there. Soft serve chocolate hasn't been available to customers in 2 months. we were told the machine has been broken. Hotdogs, hotdog sauce and cheese very low grade....Vietti, would've been better! Although, I'm Pretty sure it was Vietti. Fried mushrooms that were burnt, dried up mushroom inside of all 6 of them. Ranch dressing tasted old or stale. Husband's ice cream, Butter pecan, had an eye lash it!! It also tasted freezer burnt as well. We want to support local business, but this is not acceptable anymore.“

“Had dinner at Pappy's Cookin' today for the first time. Pretty awesome place. I had fried shrimp and fries and Heather Hoptry-Queen had blackened chicken breasts. Food was great as was the service. Staff was friendly, attentive, and accurate. The portions. Wow. Neither of us could finish the whole thing and boxes were needed. Will def go back and def recommend it. “I stayed there for a few days while visiting with family and friends attending HHS/Douglas class reunion. The room was clean and spacious and my maid Meaghan Russell kept the room neat and clean throughout bmy entire stay! The hotel staff was very nice and helpful my entire stay!!!!!!“

“Allow me to gush about this place for a bit because it's become a staple of my Huntington experience. I haven't had a single bad meal here. The Kale Caesar! is one filling salad, y'all. Great dressing, add some yummy grilled chicken, and you're filled up and satisfied. Seared Tuna Salad is off the CHAIN. Perfect acidity in the dressing, and the combination of that tuna and the sharp/sweet pineapple is so nice. The duck fat fries are perfectly crisp and flavorful on their own, and I always get the harissa aioli for dipping. It's sweet with the tiniest bit of delicious almost-spice. The Brat Burger is the definition of savory. I'm not a kraut fan, so I got it without, but that brat patty is tender and juicy, the mustard has the right amount of bite to it, and the caramelized onions are sweet and velvety. The Brass Monkey is the only thing I've ever not been over the moon about, but that's totally a matter of personal taste. The Thai peanut sauce on it was absolutely delicious, but I'd just maybe ask for lighter on the cream cheese next time. The Californication (minus the black bean corn pico because corn mixed into other stuff is texturally challenging for me) was another savory, almost smoky delight. That runny egg just sauces it all up once you bite into it. I saved my all time favorite for last, which is the Ay Caramba. Y'ALL. For me, it's like the ultimate burger. The patty itself has just the right amount of pink in the middle, the chorizo melted in with the pepper jack cheese punches you right in the mouth with flavor, and the blistered jalapeno with the cilantro and spicy kewpie mayo crowning the glory all combines for the perfect spicy, flavorful kick! Bar tender (sorry bro I don't know your name!) is top notch and gives honest, informed advice on foods and is super friendly and cool and welcoming. Also, Boogercat Brown Ale is one of my absolute favorite brown ales of all time. LOVE The Peddler!“

Be wary and check your total if using the self pay at the table. I left a $10.00 as I had intended because our server was excellent but found the attempt to gouge for an extra $2.00 off-putting.“

Joe and Travis are a cut above the rest when it comes to service! Can’t talk about the nightlife of the place but during the day and afternoon it’s the place to be.“

“Hi there! We tried to leave a review on the website, but it kept rerouting to another location. This is for the Rt. 60 Ashland, KY location. Our daughter loves Waffle House and we make a point of it to go once a week. Kay has been our server each time we’ve visited and we wanted to say that she is a shining light. She is friendly and kind to us and other customers. She has made a point of it to leave a beautiful, encouraging note on our ticket each time & I’ve observed her taking a moment to write other customers a kind note as well. I’ve attached a picture of said note. There is so much tearing down & negativity around us, and I believe that we rise by lifting others. Kay is a special example of this & the world could use more people like her. I hope someone in management or corporate sees this & acknowledges her in the best way. “I ate here, for the first time, with my Great Aunt for lunch yesterday. The building was beautiful and very neat looking. And despite the reviews that I’ve read, the customer service was really good yesterday! (I was impressed and after reading the reviews, really, that’s what inspired me to leave my own thoughts.) But the sushi. . . The sushi was AWESOME! The Philly Roll was pretty typical for what it was. And it was as expected but not much more. A typical Philly Roll. However, the Volcano Roll was some of THE BEST sushi that I’ve ever had. My Great Aunt ordered shrimp Alfredo and it looked and smelled delicious, it was quite a generous portion too! I can’t wait to come back, and frankly, I can’t believe that it took me so long to try it. Thank you.“

“The service was wonderful. The food came fast and was hot when it arrived. My sister's steak was a little dry. But, everything else was very good. Especially the bread! The restaurant did have a bad odor of wet, dirty carpet that was very off-putting. A restaurant should smell like delicious food or nothing at all. It might be time to switch out the floor covering!“

Had personal pan pizza. It was a pretty good pie. Crisp butter-garlic crust. Topping portions good. Fairly good sauce.

“The food has went way. Downhill here. Prices are still affordable but no more waitress at the table. They do clean up after you leave but you have to order at the counter and then find a seat when you find a seat. Your table is still dirty. You have to clean the table before you can even sit down. Our order was only about halfway right? And if we hadn't been in a little bit of a hurry I would have had them fix it. I feel sorry for this location. I don't see it being open much longer“

“Alright, SO. The higher stars I gave this are for two reasons. One, the sandwich I ordered was so good, my husband who isn't a big sandwich guy ate half and loved it. Secondly, the waitress was amazing. We were there with 3 rowdy-ish kids and it was a little chaotic at our table, and she was so kind and attentive and considerate and patient with us. I hope whenever we go back that we're seated in her section again.“
