“Enjoyed eating here the last time I was in USA a year ago. Standards same as before. Food is tasty but some items were being replenished when I was there for lunch about 1 pm. Waited for 5 minutes for the broccoli beef to be ready. Anyway, that means the beef was nice and hot.“
“Really good food. A breath of fresh air ?️. Let’s be honest, Fairfield doesn’t have a lot to offer when it comes to quality restaurants…. ( we are the land of franchised fast food ?) Thi is one of the best Iv had in a while. Sadly Iv lived here for 10 years and finally gave it a shot and didn’t know what we were missing. We will be back for lunch and dinner and with the kids.Service was top notch too and the place is really clean as you’d expect.P.s. the masala tea ☕️ was amazing.“
“The restaurant is small, but clean. The bathroom was clean, which I always appreciate. The waiter was okay, but not super friendly. We also weren’t even offered chopsticks, they brought us forks. I had to ask for chopsticks, other patrons were given them and didn’t receive a fork. He also steered my daughter away from ordering the mini hot pot because he said it would be too spicy. She ordered chicken with garlic sauce from the Chinese menu. It was tasty and had a slight amount of spice. She ended up disappointed that she didn't get the hotpot, even though she did like her chicken dish. Her boyfriend ordered pepper chicken. I didn't try this one, but he really enjoyed it. I wasn't in the mood for jalapeño flavor, and it was covered in jalapeños.For myself I ordered sliced ear, bo-bo beef, and dry chili chicken.I was also warned that the bo-bo chicken would be very spicy. I sperically told him I love spicy food and I know I can handle it. I even mentioned that I didn't find the food in India spicy at all.The sliced ear was very tasty. My daughter liked the flavor, but not the texture. The outer portion has a texture similar to tendon, which was fine with her, but the rest was more like cartilage. I loved both textures personally. The dry chili chicken was perfectly cooked, although I could have handled some extra chilis in it. It was crispy and tender though. The bo-bo beef? Honestly, I did not find it overly spicy. It was spicy, but not what o would consider a 3/5. I didn't even feel a need for any type of drink during the meal. When the waiter asked me how was the spice. I had to tell him that I expected more. The dish though was delicious. The beef was the most tender beef o have ever tried. It has zucchini in it, which I love. Very good. The question is, do I just have that high of a spice tolerance, or did they give me "white girl" spicy? I seriously think it must have been less spicy than normal. I didn't even break a sweat and barely had a runny nose.Overall, it was very good. The portions were a good size.I went here specifically because if I could eat here I would be the Queen of Spicy in the Dayton area. I still don't know if I earned that crown. The spice level and the waiter not really believing me almost got them a 3, if I could do 3.5 I would. I know there are people that order it spicy and then they want to have it remade, so I'm not totally upset about the attitude. I'm just disappointed that I was promised spicy and it wasn't even on the top 5 spiciest things I've tried.“
“We ate at the Chinese Lantern (a well established restaurant) for years. Unfortunately the original owner sold it and the dishes were not the same.Luckily we did find the China Inn and were also very pleased! We now have carry out at least once a week.Parking: Sufficient spots“
“The buffet here is small, but don't let that stop you from coming here. The food that they do have on the buffet is delicious. Very fresh food as they brought it to the buffet in small batches, frequently. It felt very clean and the decor is simple yet pretty. And compared to other buffets in the area, it was very well priced.“
“Wonderful food and experience here! On top of the food being hot, fresh, and delicious- the server and chef were amazing and very kind to us and our kid! 10/10 would recommend. Easily the best Asian restaurant I've been to in a very long time!Vegetarian options: A surprisingly wide selection of vegetarian options! I had the mixed veggies plate with veggie fried rice and it was both filling and delicious! The vegetables were all cooked perfectly and had so much flavor!Kid-friendliness: The server was accommodating, kind, and wonderful with our daughter! Even had her smiling and laughing! They also offer both high chairs and booster seats as well as multiple kid friendly options on the menu!“
“I love this place, the only Asian-style restaurant for me. Mt. Healthy should be proud to have this business!UPDATE 3/19/2024: I have recommended Fortune Express to friends and family and they agree this is the best in our area hands down. You should try it!“
“Thursday night@7pm. Large party here, loud (a little obnoxious) and scatterbrained...our server was incredible...no eye rolling, side-eye glances, nor snide remarks...which were all deserved by this crew...so kudos to our wait staff and the management for not shutting us down for some of the cursing that some of the girls (def insert side eye glance here) in our group were spewing. The food was so-so...orange chicken soft & soggy, the edemame slightly overcooked but overall a great experience.“
“Their food is always fresh and wings are nice and crispy. The wings are just the right size and aren't on steroids and super big so you know your eating good chicken. The honey lemon pepper wings are Fire, bomb dot com, so good makes you wanna slap your momma! Everyone is so nice and they give great service.“
“This is THE BEST Chinese food I have ever had! It is not Americanized!! Tried some Dim Sum, which is like tapas or small plates of food. The Red Bean bun was yummy and the Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf! I had the Dandan noodles as my main dish! They were able to make not as spicy as it normally would be! So good! My husband had the Orange chicken! Very good! We don’t mind making the trek from Dayton for some great food! We put this place on our Cincinnati area favorites list!“
“I live just a little more than one mile from this restaurant but I have avoided it for years because it looks like such a dump from the street.Somewhere around 2 weeks ago, I was really craving Chinese and just didn't want to drive all the way over to the Sun Garden in West Chester, which has always been my most reliable go-to Chinese spot. For my first visit I tried the chicken Kung pao lunch and it was as good as any Kung Pao chicken I've had recently. I had it again today as a combination plate, and as before, it was quite good. I don't think the owners even look at these reviews but if they do, they should know that I would recommend that they drop the green peppers from the Kung Pao menu and use more of the snow pea pods in that recipe. They are are much better fit...In between these 2 positive Kung pao chicken experiences I tried several other dishes with less success. Somewhere in these reviews you'll find someone who tried the Pad Thai and said it was terrible. I agree, it's the worst Pad Thai I've ever eaten, If these guys were smart, they would immediately remove it from the menu.Chicken lo Mein is another favorite for me, but here, it's pretty darn boring. I would not order it again from Lee's. The general Tso's chicken also was very forgettable. I did not enjoy that dish and would not order it again. That may not be a food quality issue, I simply might not like that style of Chinese. I tried the Tso in a 2 in 1 platter and was very disappointed with the choice.I would encourage anyone reading this review to go to the website of the Butler County health department and read the inspection reports from this restaurant.... there are some things there that would appear to be concerning, but when I looked at other restaurants that I also frequent in the area, I found that they had similar violations. I would love to think that the owner would read this and respond to the issues of cleanliness, but I don't have much confidence that they'll even bother to respond to this review.Several reviewers mentioned that they were treated rudely. I wouldn't characterize it that way for me, but I would say that these folks seem to be very indifferent to their customers. I think they view this as merely a transaction and do not want to make any effort to build relationships with repeat customers. There is almost always a language barrier when you call in to place an order and I would just like to think that they could have someone working who perhaps has a little bit better command of the English languageIt just seems to me that these folks are in business to make a living by supplying Chinese carry out and they really do not give a hoot about their customers as individualsSo, I can certainly recommend the Kung pao chicken and If these owners ever decide to show some care and appreciation for their customers, this place might have some potentialParking: Ample parking. Restaurant resides in a dumpy strip mall with a dumpy street appeal“
“Michelle, the server is outstanding and pays attention to detail. Food is delicious. Definitely my favorite. And pricing is very reasonable for the serving you get especially during lunch time hours. Visit this restaurant atleast 2 times a month and I live about 20 miles from it.“
“We often pick up food from China Wok, and they are always ready on a timely basis. They have a broad menu and do a good job with their food preparation.Vegetarian options: Nice selection.Dietary restrictions: They offer a very good steamed vegetable and protein plate.“
“Food is always on point. No matter what we order (since I've been grown it's been a few times recently...my family used to order here when I was younger ALOT!)Portion sizes, taste, look...its mouth watering. The restaurant is still in the same place it was almost 20 30 years ago and it's even smaller now, lol. But don't let the size fool you...you'll definitely find your favorite table and come back. Everytime.Parking: Street parking or park across the street in the Family Dollar lot. There's also PUHLENTY of parking at LaRosas.“
“There were five of us and we each ordered different proteins and we shared. The individualized broth/soup worked well for all of us. I got the Mala's spicy broth that I spiced up using additional schechuan chillies. Everything about the place is what one would get in Chongqing or Chengdu. I love going here during the cold winter days.“
“Love this place. Great food. 6/29/23 We visited for lunch. It was very good but I think one of their steam tables doesn't work well. Some things were cold. 02/16/24 I have been sick since I ate here on the 11th. Apparently that table has never been fixed.“
“A gluten free dish we get every time are the Singapore noodles. It is a curry flavor with chicken, shrimp, egg, sprouts and green onion in a huge portion size. Reasonably priced and the food always comes out quickly! Authentically run by non US natives.“
“Always consistently great food. Family owned and man working the Wok is a saint and knows Chinese and Cantonese cuisine. My go to and I have another Chinese restaurant a stone throw away from me. I always make the ten minute drive here. Food is still piping hot when I get home if doing carryout. Economical and one dish lasts me at least 2 meals and I'm a big guy.“
“We used the new online ordering system and it was simple and easy to place an order. The wait was longer than quoted when picking up. We ordered:1. Crab Rangoon - these were made well and had the right ratio of filling to wrapper - very yummy. These are still my favorite! (5/5 ?)2. Steam fried dumplings - these had a great flavor and I would order again. (4.5/5 ?)3. Shrimp fried rice - this was also prepared well and adding extra shrimp is cheap! Definitely ordering this again. (4.5/5 ?)4. Chicken Mei Fun - this was my first time ordering this dish and it was prepared well. I am not sure of the expected flavor profile but seems to need a little bit more seasoning/flavor overall. (2.5/5 ?)Updated from a new visit -5. ? ? - pretty good however the chicken-to-breading ratio is off. Too much breading. (3/5 ?)6. ? lo mein - our kids like this and rated it really yummy. (4/5 ?)7. Chicken wings - these were prepared well but were mildly seasoned. These need more n?. (3/5 ?)“
“This was my first time ordering from Wok Inn Express. The nice lady who took my order was very kind. I ordered General Tso chicken. It was delicious. The resturaunt looked clean. I ordered tak out. I would recommend this establishment t as a good place to get good Chinese cuisine! Customer Service was excellent!“
“Have been coming here for many years. Food is always great. Much better than the average Chinese takeout. Love the pork fried rice, has a great roasted flavor. We got the Hunan shrimp and beef and broccoli (ordered both extra spicy and they delivered!). Highly recommend the Hunan shrimp. Lots of veggies and tons of flavor. Was surprised with the addition of bamboo shoots but they were definitely one of my favorite parts. The beef and shrimp were very tender. The fried dumplings were very good as well. Will continue to come here.“
“First time visiting and was blown away by how authentic the foods are. To be honest, we heard about Chinese Imperial Inn for a while but didn't stop by because we afraid it is just another Chinese basic fast food restaurant. But no, despite the run down look, the foods were great. The service was great too. Our server greet us with a warming smile and quickly seat us down and take our order. The food came out fast too. I was impressed. After talking to the waitress, we found out the restaurant is over 30 yrs old, family run. No wonder why it has such great ambiance. I would recommend dinning in instead of order take out. Lot of food need to be eaten right away. Sitting in the box makes the food soggy and overcooked. Deff will come back for more. Just thinking about it s me hungry.“
“This is a nice reasonably priced neighborhood Chinese Restiraunt with good food, served up quickly at a very reasonable price! Each dinner sized dish easily serves two people! The venue is no frills, carry out only for the moment.Parking: Plenty parking in strip Mall lot“
“My family went here for my son's birthday and the food was delicious. They have a great variety of food including sushi and hibachi. There is no excuse to find something that you like. #No boredom. The service was fine. My expectations from my servers at a buffet is that they remove the plates and refill drinks consistently. We did have to ask a few times for refills, which is why there are 4 stars and not 5 stars. This will probably be our new Chinese buffet spot.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps to get into the building. They also have plenty of handicap parking.“
“The food was so good. I took a trip on my lunch break and it was defiantly worth it! The food stayed hot as can be the whole time I ate it! This was probably some of the best Chinese food if not the top I’ve had in a long time! I definitely recommend to friends and family.“
“Would give it 10 stars if I could! Ordered the vegetable lo mein and egg rolls for takeout, and all the food was still hot when I got home. The portions were big, the egg rolls were crispy, and the veggies in the lo mein were fresh. Definitely will be a regular!“
“Had a taste for Thai but Panda was closer. Got the lunch low mein and boneless ribs. DELICIOUS! I do t know how nutritious it was but I don't care. Crab Rangoon was included and it was really good as well. If you like "Americanized" Chinese food you will enjoy. Lunch specials were economically priced and service was pretty quick. I'll be going back. Thumbs High! ?“
“It isn't even fair how good the General Tso's chicken combo is. I ordered my food and within 10 minutes I got a notification of it being ready. On top of that, I didn't even pick it up for another 20 minutes. It is still the best General Tso I've ever had. It had the perfect crunch, the rice was just right and the egg rolls were amazing. I may take an extra trip here this year just to have it again. <3“
“I always order Orange Chicken lunch with food in separate containers. Don’t want my rice all soped up with that orange sauce. But they are awesome. Always fresh. I find myself going once a week. They definitely have a loyal customer in me.“
“This is a great place for lunch when you can’t eat in, and you have to take your lunch back to the office. Call ahead! In 10 minutes, it’s ready for pick up.The lunch menu is what I really enjoy because it’s a lot like the dinner menu, with smaller portions. If you are looking for a new Chinese place, add this to your lunch time hunt.“
“Very good food and affordable prices. Ask for any special requests as they are very accommodating. Great selection of Chinese items from their Chinese menu. Ask for it and explore some spectacular dishes. The eggplant is awesome and their soups are phenomenal.Vegetarian options: Awesome vegetarian options. Ask for the Chinese menu of you don't see something you like on the regular menu. Ask for the veggie tofu soup on the Chinese menu for an excellent vegetarian option.“
“Very nice casual take out Chinese food shop. The staff is friendly, food is good (obviously in my opinion, whatever that is worth to a reader.)The fried rice is the "yellow colored" variant, but that is a regional thing. I personally prefer the dark brown type of fried rice (made with "thick soy" as an ingredient, which is slightly sweeter than regular soy) BUT I do recognize that I'm a minority in terms of number of customers. Most of the dishes are very good. The shop is clean, countertops are uncluttered, and I've never had any issues.“
“The food was the highlight of the experience. We ordered General Tso's Chicken (3.5 broccoli cold the rice was just ok), Double cooked pork belly (5 the depth of flavor took it over the top), crab ragoon (a very solid 4), seared dumplings (4.2 the dipping sauce was not that good), steamed small pork buns Shanghai style(5 we used the chili sauce thats on the table it was a great combination) . The was served mostly fresh and fast. The only drawback was the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. It needed a good sweep, mop, and wipe down. The waitress was a little rushed.Overall, it was 4.5“
“The food is soooo good!!! Literally mouth watering. Me and my boyfriend wanted to order dinner and pick up. We ordered online, and it was ready when we got there. We got chicken teriyaki skewers, combination mee fun, combo plate pepper steak and veggie LoMein. They gave us free crab Rangoons which was awesome because I wanted them but didn't actually order them so they were free and it was just such a nice surprise. Lol 10/10. Food hit the f'n spot!“
“I really like the taste of their sesame chicken, bourbon chicken, noodles, and mixed vegetables. The chicken dishes tasted like proper American-Chinese food. And, the mixed vegetables were cooked perfectly--not too raw and not too soft. The seasoning of the vegetables was also great because there was definitely enough seasoning but not too much to overpower the flavor of the vegetables themselves. The portion of the lunch special is huge and satisfying for a big guy. The guy taking the order was polite. The interior was definitely dated, but it was clean. For a food takeout place, the dated interior did not bother me.Vegetarian options: The vegetables were cooked perfectly.“
