“Love the food at this location but the service in the drive-thru is terrible . Greeting someone with “ what would you like “ then after they are finished saying “ pull up” is completely unprofessional. As a manager , these employees would benefit from an additional training in customer service.“

“This is the best Chinese restaurant I've been to in the US. I haven't spent too much time in NYC, so I cannot compare to those, but I spent many years in SF and LA and have not had better than Sichuan Chili.

I no longer live in Cincinnati, unfortunately, but I am in town maybe one week per year and make it a point to visit Sichuan Chili multiple times. I will even freeze it and bring it home to Texas, where the Chinese food by me is mediocre at best.

We have several go-tos (not in any particular order):

Mapo tofu - lots of heat, but great flavor. Big and bold.

Hot pepper chicken - this stir fried dish of jalapenos and chicken is excellent. There are times the head is overwhelming, but it also is loaded with flavor. It is not just a spice bomb.

Hot and sour soup - my kids like all hot and sour soup, but I am yet to find one as good as the one from Sichuan Chili. It is very black peppery, but in a good way. It tastes different than any other hot and sour soup I've eaten.

Chinese style kung pao - this is different than regular kung pao - lots of ginger, different vegetables than the US version. I am a huge fan.

Green beans - these are excellent. Smoky, flavorful. My middle loves szechuan green beans and these are extremely good.

Eggplant in garlic sauce - this isn't necessarily better than most Chinese places, but it's good. They have 2-3 versions of egg plant.

Salt and pepper shrimp - vinegary and tangy. They come skin and tail on, but the deep fry makes them easy to eat whole.

The above are our normal go-tos. We've tried several other things over the years. Some have been hits. Some have been misses. The only thing I've eaten there that was truly bad were the salt and pepper ribs. Hard to describe why, but it was a total fail.

I assume many of the other reviews mention this, but there is an authentic menu and an American menu. We normally eat off the authentic, but the lunch specials are all off the American menu and I've tried a few. Even the American menu food is better than most Chinese restaurants.“

“My fiancé swears by Lulu's. She grew up in Glendale and the food is just as good as it's always been for her. We met and lived in NYC for 10 years before she brought me back to Ohio. I started working just around the corner from Lulu's and now I'm bring it home a few times a month so she can get that taste of nostalgia. Doesn't hurt that the food is comparable to NYC's Chinatown. “A cute and friendly restaurant just off of 747 that is definitely worth a stop. The chicken wings were SO juicy and they had the perfect crunch!🤩 The seasoning in the batter was lovely and my husband and I didn't need any sauce, highly recommend. His chicken teriyaki was also rather juicy for white meat and they had a nice smokey flavor, so he was very happy.😊 I had the chicken Pad Thai and each little flavor would sneak up on me while I ate. Fantastically balanced all the way through and I even dug into the middle of the dish and still could find peanuts!🥜

“I honestly love the food at this place. This may be one of the best Chinese Cuisine spots in Cincinnati. Their Lo Mein and Rice has always been cooked perfectly and they didnt skimp out on the meat. “I consider myself a Chinese/asian cuisine connoisseur and while this place has great options, there’s a few things I’d never order again that are typically favorites elsewhere.

General tsos chicken… phenomenal! Finally some spiciness! So many places claim they’re general to be spicy and it’s not, this has a decent kick and it’s full of flavor.

Bourbon chicken… yuck. It’s not great. Chicken is way over cooked, the flavor completely lacks. I love bourbon chicken, but not from here. It should be very moist and decadent and it’s not at all. I didn’t even waste my time eating the rest. Big disappointment.

Sesame chicken… yummy in my tummy. Crispy and full of flavor.

veg lo mein.. it’s not bad, but not spectacular. It’s your basic lo mein. Would be WAY better if
It’s hard baby corn.

Pork fried rice… no. Flavor is completely off and bland. The color is off. Just no thank you.

Spring rolls… also lacking. The flavor just isn’t there. It actually has an unpleasant after taste. I tried these on 3 different occasions, it was consistent each time with the same thoughts.

Egg rolls… fantastic! Which is funny, because I genuinely like spring rolls over egg rolls but these slap.

Hot and sour soup… sadly dissatisfied and disappointed. What a heart break. Flavor is not there, not very spicy. And there was not enough bamboo shoots and other typical foods that are in the soup.

Egg drop… it’s an ok/good.

“By far, my family’s favorite place for Chinese takeout in the area! Every once in awhile we think we’ll try somewhere else, but we always end up disappointed and come back to Panda Garden. The food is consistently hot and delicious with large portions and the delivery times are short.“

They definitely crank out the orders, usually no more than 15 minutes when you call ahead. The staff can be a little cold at times, but not rude or objectionable. We ordered the crab rangoon, hot & sour soup, egg drop soup, chicken lo mein, and General Tso’s chicken — and everything was outstanding. The rangoon was crispy and creamy, the soups were full of flavor, and the entrees were perfectly seasoned with generous portions. “I took my 2yr old and 7yr old here for lunch and they had a fun time cooking their own food. We got the bento lunch and it was delicious. I recommend the miso broth and spicy chicken. The mushroom broth is very light and tasty too. They keep napkins in a drawer under the front of the table which was very helpful with kids. The staff was very friendly and helpful. “I visit this Panda Express often, and it’s by far the best one I’ve been to! The customer service is top-notch, everyone is friendly and welcoming. The food is always fresh and hot, especially the orange chicken, which is my favorite. You can tell they take pride in keeping the place clean, and it shows.
