“The cute guy with the curly hair deserves a raise. I came in today to get a delivery order and I wasn't in the best mood so I wasn't really talkative or overly friendly but despite that he gave me excellent customer service and made sure that I knew I was a priority to the staff. Thanks for not receiving my energy as an insult and continuing to be a good guy I really appreciate it. This is the exact type of mindstate that should be in management if he already isn't.“

“First time at Manhattan's. Really came for the Reuben but ended up getting their Carnegie. The sandwich was big and was split between the two of us. Started off with the French Onion soup. Best I've had in Toledo. The corned beef and pastrami on the sandwich was generous and delicious. The pickled green tomato was a crunchy surprise. Free parking right next door was a bonus. Will definitely be headed back soon to try their Reuben.“

“We had a birthday party here with about 30 people. Kim was so helpful and kind with the planning process. On the actually night, all our guests had delicious meals with fast service. Our waitresses were efficient and friendly the whole time. All the food is amazing. I've never had a bad meal here. This has become one of my favorite places to eat downtown. Go visit them, you won't be sorry! Fantastic food!“

“Eclectic decor in a super cool old building that was the first building in Downtown Toledo to be wired for electricity! Wow we sent our compliments to the chef, everything was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. “Chef Erika Rapp never disappoints and every visit to this wonderful restaurant reaffirms it as my favorite place for our Anniversary dinner. I look forward to the coconut, chorizo and sweet potato steamed muscles that she has had on the fall menu consistently for the last 5 years. And being Gluten Free the care Chef Erika takes to offer many delicious options, means I can always find the perfect meal. Last night the fish dish was perfection, from the perfectly cooked cod, to the savory and slightly sweet delicata squash puree to the textural elements of the crisp broccolini and the crunch of the pomagranate and pepitas. And the dish paired wonderfully with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc. After enjoying a basket of gluten free pop-overs (another favorite treat) and appetizers I was stuffed, but the dish was too delicious to leave even one bite on the plate. Our server Miranda was fabulous. Attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and added so much to our dining experience. I highly reccommend.“

“Hands down, my favorite restaurant ever. You just can't go wrong with a Big Boy, with tarter sauce on it, and a side of crispy fries. I have ordered the same thing every time since I was a kid. If I see a Big Boy while out doing things, I make it a point to stop in for a bite. They never disappoint. The service is always fast and friendly, and the prices are right!

“We visited on a Monday in mid-April 2025 for lunch.

This was a typical zoo restaurant. It's a grab and go. There are prepared foods on the side, both hot and cold. There are customizable stuff behind the counter and made to order. Expect it to be overpriced.

The loaded mac and cheese wasn't bad. The young lady behind the counter was making it for us when an older man (who I assume to be a manager) walked by and told her she was putting TOO much toppings in the mac and cheese so she stopped mid scoop with the bacon.

We got chicken tenders and fries which were both fine. We also got the prepared cobb salad. The lettuce on top looked fine but once we opened it and dug deeper, the lettuce were the harder and thicker stalks and more discolored. We still ate it because we were hungry but it did not look super fresh or maybe the salad sat too long in the back before packing it.

We also got the chocolate pudding and the jello. We all agreed the gummy worms in the chocolate pudding had a weird taste and off putting. The texture was also strange and unfortunately a lot of the flavor had leached into the pudding. The jello however was fine and those gummies were normal.

Condiments you grab on your own, self serve.

Cashier was nice and asked if we had membership, which we did and gave us the additional discount. It's nice when they ask because I forget sometimes with all the craziness going on.

The restaurant it self wasn't packed but there were 4 or 5 other groups in there with us. The place also was very clean and new looking. Not sure when this placed opened or renovated but it was very clean and modern. There are no tables to eat inside so we went outside to find a seat. There were no tables in the Kid's play place or neighborhood area so we walked around to where the hippo statues were to eat.

Even though the zoo website says no outside food, we were never searched and I swear almost EVERYONE we saw at the picnic tables had brought food in. Maybe it was locals who knew vs tourist. You can always leave and eat food in your car but it's just so inconvenient.“

“Had the angus cheeseburger today. SO good and cooked to correct temp. I ate the whole thing which I rarely eat my whole burger if is that big. And their Great Lakes kettle sea salt potato chips WITH the skin are a great selection! I just love this place and the staff. Best. Ever.“

“This is a decent restaurant right off the strip in Sylvania. There is a large variety of various cheese melt sandwiches. The Milky Way Martini was absolutely delicious. The french fries were hot and crispy. The Onion rings we're borderline roached a couple were. The sandwiches are really good. Maybe a little bit pricey but at least it was fresh food.“

“We had a funeral luncheon at Shorty's. The manager was very helpful in making the arrangements. We had special requests which were handled expertly. The wait staff was attentive and followed up with the guests to make sure that they had what they wanted. The staff took our worries away as we did not know how many people would come and we were told that they would cook more if we needed it. They packed up leftovers and gave us everything that was left over. We wanted special music and they allowed one of our guests to bring in a speaker and hook it up. We were also allowed to stay beyond the scheduled hours and we appreciated that also.“

“We came in after an excellent concert last night! We saw the band hairball and they were fantastic and!! And and Kayla was our server. She took our drink orders and almost immediately brought us my coffee and my wife's water, Mitch took our order again. Almost immediately brought us out our order. The service was incredibly fast and here's the kicker the whole time. Even though it was breakfast on a Saturday morning and Kayla was the only server in the building at the time. You would never have guessed that she was on top of it! I don't think we've ever had a a bad experience at a first watch, so not only do I recommend this first watch. Specifically, I recommend anytime you're out of town and if you find a first watch you know you could be safe going there for breakfast, brunch or lunch.“

“Our first time to Final Cut. We were greeted at the door by the hostess. Seated but we moved because we preferred the booths. Very comfy and cozy. Food was fabulous lobster tails filet with baked potato Brussel sprouts lobster bisque rolls/butter and comp appetizer and dessert for our 40th Anniversary. A bit pricey but service was awesome 5 ⭐️ and food was 5 ⭐️ We would return.“

“Great customer service, all of the employees were very friendly, patient, and personable. The wait time is always reasonable and the food is always delicious. My order has always been correct (keep it up!) I don’t know if it’s because I was in the passenger seat but it seemed like there were some technical difficulties with the drive thru, something that could be improved. I also think the patties could have been less flat, but overall still really good!!“

“Atmosphere is better than your average bar, with a cozy corner for the holiday season. Food was absolutely delicious. I had the Rib McSammich; it was smoky, the perfect heat, and the pickles/onions hit just right. My partner had the Mac and cheese, and she destroyed it. The cook(s) deserve all the praise. Absolutely blindsided my expectations for bar food. Service was prompt and drinks were strong! But not too strong :)“
