“Ok, I admit a degree of annoyance as we were just passing through Dayton and I thought it was taking a bit long for our meal to get to the table. Then the food arrived. Easily one of the better meals I’ve enjoyed in recent memory. I’ll come back and gladly wait for food so flavorful and carefully prepared.“
“A quaint little British-themed cafe in Oakwood with friendly service and a casual, relaxing ambiance. They only accept cash, check, and Venmo. My husband and I ordered the afternoon tea for 2 which included scones, eclairs, an almond based cake, a lemon curd tart, and assorted finger sandwiches. We chose English Breakfast tea among a large assortment of teas offered. The desserts were fantastic and lightly sweet (which we enjoyed!), the finger sandwiches were a little bland and dry. Overall, we loved supporting a small, family owned business and we would return if we are in the area again!“
“Got a couple boxes of chocolate for dessert and a Easter present. Coffee selection was good and smelled amazing it was too late for a cup but I was going to come back to get a cup in the morning. The shop looks awesome on the inside loved the layout. The man at the counter was quick and very nice.“
“The food is delicious! It's a walk up and order and get your food, so the service is spare, but the dining room has local ambiance. So many local people here come in, order and carry out, including a group of construction workers who know where to find a good meal at an excellent price!“
“Ordered 12oz hot Van. Latte, 12oz hot Mocha, The Farmer w/ham, The Lunch bagel w/ham. Not my typical coffee flavor profile, but it was delicious. We could clearly taste the fruity notes. They were out of bagels, but the sandwhiches on English muffins were tastey. Quick friendly service. Was hoping for a bigger baked goods selection .. wanted that basic choc. Chip cookie ?. Will deff. be back! This was Midtown location & had easy access for parking.“
“My husband and I were dropping our niece off in New Lebanon. We had some time to kill and decided to go for some coffee. I just happened to find this place via Google. This place may not look like much from the outside but looks can be deceiving.We were pleased to be greeted by some wonderful staff. Also, the fact that they share scriptures not only on the accent wall but in a little basket for your taking. We have a coffee shop in our town that also is a Christian based coffee shop that we love. One thing our coffee shop at home could learn from Hip-Stirs is the personalization of scriptures on index cards available to take. We would recommend and will be returning at some point.“

Our waiter Dean was incredible and honestly one of the most chilled and happy guys I've ever had. He had the most relaxed and calm demeanour and he served so excellently, he definitely is a great asset to your team and deserves some attention and praise for his professionalism ?Now going into the most important section, THE FOOD. Goodness me it was so so good. A simple classic menu with fresh ingredients and cooked effortlessly, if you want delicious food as well as quality service, this place is it!Not to mention how reasonable the pricing is, it's so well priced and you're actually paying really good low prices for such great food and attentive service. I only review the best places and this place gets my vote for the most underrated place in the whole of Dayton area. This definitely deserves more hype and attention. Please pay this amazing Cafe and of course the historical museum of Dayton a visit! A literal step back in time and a rare diamond among cafes. ✨️“

“I tried placing a delivery order from NImbus Comic Cafe several weeks ago, and my order was cancelled after 32 mins. I contacted the restaurant through the contact form on their website and got a response very quickly. They close at 1pm through the week, (not the 1am time listed through DoorDash). They said that they'll reach out to DD to get the hours fixed.They also offered to take care of me on a future visit, due to the DoorDash mistake. I was honestly just asking for clarification on the hours, and didn't expect anything beyond that. Unfortunately, I have not had a chance to make it in, since I work nights and a 1pm closing time is quite early for me!Management's response to a problem, no matter how small, can really affect the way that I feel about a place.
