“What a cute lil shop. I have wanted to try this coffee shop for a minute, but I've always worked past two. Today I finally got my chance. Ordered a Lavender Cold Brew. It was delightful. And only $4! The cup is compostable, truly, and as a gardener I simply love that. I told the cashier it was my first time and she was so polite and welcoming and helpful when ordering. Lovely plants too. I will be back.“

Drinks-  collins angel hot latte 5/5 and a matcha latte (Collins angel version) 4/5

Food- egg sandwich w/ bacon- soft bread,  thick bacon,  moist. 5/5 and vermonter- turkey apple and cheese pastry. 4/5 flaky,  good filling.  Not the biggest fan of the sesame seeds.

Overall clean,  cute,  great music/ vibes. A bit pricey, paid $23 for a pastry and drink. But I look forward to returning and exploring the wine/ bar and live music & after work ambiance.“

“Accessibility Review: As a frequent coffee shop studier, I enjoyed my time getting work done at Gata Magica Cafe and Lounge. As I worked and evaluated the accessibility of the establishment, I noticed upon entering that the tables and chairs on the first floor level are placed tightly together which may be difficult to maneuver around with a wheelchair or walker, especially when the walkway areas are crowded with customers. The upper level is more spread out and spacious, however, it is only accessible by stairs.

As for sensory elements, this coffee shop had a very relaxing atmosphere with a quiet noise level besides the occasional coffee machine sounds and low level of chatter. The lighting was also very relaxed and dim without any fluorescent lighting which helps to create a less stimulating atmosphere for those with sensory sensitivities.

While the menu display itself did not have braille or text reading abilities for the blind or visually impaired, the baristas were very helpful and I’m sure would happily assist a customer by reading the menu aloud if needed. They could make this even more accessible to people with vision impairments by adding an electronic menu option that is screen reader compliant. The pay station was a touch screen tablet and did not have screen reading capabilities that I was aware of, so this may also be difficult for those who are blind or visually impaired to process their payment and pick a tip option independently.

The bathroom had a door with a code lock which may be difficult for individuals who have difficulty with fine motor skills. However, once in the bathroom, there is plenty of space for maneuverability with support railings around the toilet. The sink is at a low enough height to be accessed by wheelchair, however, the soap and paper towels are much higher and would be difficult to reach from a sitting position. The toilet is a manual flush, helping to reduce unexpected sensory input of a loud, unexpected flush.

Overall, I understand that there are limitations on building structures on High Street, but this accessibility is important to consider and for potential disabled customers to be aware of.“

“Everyone working is always so friendly and talkative, they care about their guests! They have orders memorized for their regulars and they serve with smiles on their faces. The coffee and drinks are always delicious and consistent. Their jalapeno and cheddar bagel keeps me alive in the mornings and the Café Bon Bon is great for espresso lovers, I used their recipe as a guideline for making coffee at home on the weekends now. The environment is eclectic and adorable, a great place to read a book on your lunch break.“

“I walked to this coffee shop from the Hotel LeVeque for my morning coffee. I ordered an Espresso and a pour over. Both beans were on the placard at the register and priced at market pricing. The total bill was sub $10. The espresso was good, very flavorful, but was nothing compared to the Pour Over which was the absolute best cup of coffee I have had.

“Great community place for coffee. I got a latte with pumpkin flavoring and it was good - it was more on the gingerbread smell profile and the coffee itself was good. I also get a bag of cat treats when I'm there because my kids like the brand they offer.

Shop itself is a cool little shop with plenty of seating. They sell books, art, bagged coffee and tea.

“A great local coffee shop that's a staple to German Village. The pastries are delicious, fresh, and super yummy! The servers are always fast working and friendly though it can get fairly busy depending on what day/time you go. Their menu changes seasonally as well which is pleasant. The coffee is wonderful too! The only downside is parking can be kind of difficult especially when it's busy, but that's pretty normal for Columbus.“
