“It had been many years since we had been to the Root Beer Stand so it was high time to come back. It had grown a fair amount since our last visit which was great to see. The place was really busy but they really are streamlined well and there was not a long wait time. There is a bit of indoor seating but a vast majority of the seating is at picnic tables outside around the area. Everything looked great all around the grounds although you must remember you are outside and there are a fair amount of bees around so beware of that. I had a footlong chili dog and fries which were excellent especially the chili dog. Also had to have a root beer float which was legendary as usual as their locally sourced root beer really is delicious. This is definitely an awesome place to go on a summer day for sure and it gets my highest recommendation.“

“Shout out to the whole team at this location! We came in for green ways and when I say they were busy, I mean it. The dining room was full and the drive through was never empty.

Everyone was working insanely hard to keep everything running smoothly and they did not miss a beat.

Addy, inparticular, toom care of us at the counter and did an amazing job. She checked on us constantly while running food for other servers and taking care of the rest of her tables.“

When I opened my food this evening someone had included a bit of candy with my cheese and it almost made me cry, it was so sweet and kind and made my whole night so much better! “I get my salad every week at Lucky Dog, Murphy my dog is always welcome, they are good people. everything in my salad is always fresh and reasonably priced. The salads have a-lot of filling protein and flavor. If you eat downtown regularly you know a fresh salad with enough filling protein is hard to find for $7. Lucky Dog makes my everyday work life bearable. Also they sell the biggest fountain drink for the lowest price. and cheesecake. 🏆😉They have my loyalty“

“This place is donating $25,000.00 to the family of an employee, a young mother of two, who was murdered while working there recently. Coca Cola is matching the donation. The restaurant is additionally donating 20% of this week's total revenues. We went there not only for food, but to contribute in a small way to the cause. The place was packed! The drive through line was massive. We were seated fairly quickly, and the staff was doing an excellent job of coping with the incredible number of patrons present. It's been non stop since the beginning of the week and surely will be until the end of the donation week. It was a great experience and a restorer of faith in humanity of people coming together, as horribly tragic as the cause is!“

“Favorite chili place in Cincinnati, always has been! Employees at the drive thru were friendly and quick with the order.

Parking: If you go through the drive thru, it doesn't really connect to the parking lot. So, if you get your food at the drive thru and want to eat in your car like a heathen (how we do it), you have to go back on the road, make an immediate right back into the lot.Enjoy.“

The chili has a unique sweet and savory flavor that’s different from traditional chili, but it works perfectly over spaghetti or hot dogs. The cheese is always piled high, the portions are filling, and the food comes out fast. Their 3-Way and Cheese Coneys are easily the best things on the menu. The restaurant itself feels casual and comforting, especially if you want something quick and satisfying. Definitely a Cincinnati classic worth trying at least once“

They also had summer special ice cream floats and funnel fries as well as small treats at the front. With tons of food under $30 for two in today’s restaurant eateries that’s a great value. I only didn't give this a perfect score as sometimes it gets very busy and they seem to have trouble with managing the extended area during those periods. Still kinda miss the old building but this was a definitely welcome and needed upgrade!“
