Our server Jolee is also worth asking for, as her level of kindness and service is beyond words. And another wonderful element, which is often overlooked, is that our water glasses were immediately refilled. We travel the world, and this has been one of our all-time best dining experiences. “Really enjoyed our Saturday night dinner celebration for 9 of us celebrating my grandson’s UC graduation. From the appetizers to the desserts, the food was outstanding! The short ribs special was very good and we all agreed that the bay scallops and shrimp risotto is an outstanding dish! The entire staff is very friendly and for a busy Saturday night, we enjoyed excellent service! Highly recommend this lovely restaurant in downtown. “First time going. I really enjoyed it. I got full really fast so I didn't get to try a pizza. Abby was a very friendly server. I had the chicken sandwich which very tasty. The rest of my party had a chicken parmesan and another had a cheeseburger. Everyone liked their food. Money well spent.

Parking: Street parking is free on Sunday, I believe, but maybe hard to find a spot. There are garages available.“

“I recently ordered breakfast from Four Seasons Kitchen. I had the Sausage Egg & Cheese Burrito and home fries. The home fries were very good. The burrito was fine, but could have used more flavor. It was mostly egg and potato, with too little sausage to really be noticeable. I wish I had had some hot sauce with me to at least give it some kick. Still, I'd eat there again.“

“We dined here for our 6 year anniversary dinner and could not have been happier with our choice. We were seated 15 minutes early for our 7pm reservation, and promptly given water. Our server Chandler was great. He took the time to explain the menu, specials and make recommendations for drinks. Throughout the evening he was very attentive and available, at the end of our meal he even boxed my leftovers and gave us a free dessert! I was more than impressed with the food. The rolls were soft and pillowy on the inside, but had a wonderfully crisp crust with just the right amount of salt. The tavern salad was truly refreshing too. The greens were crisp and fresh, the slightly sweet vinaigrette was perfectly mixed and the gorgonzola cheese was a fantastic compliment to it all. The beef stroganoff was absolutely divine. The sauce was one of the best I have ever had! The noodles were perfectly cooked and thick, there was plenty of tender beef and a generous amount of mushrooms. I came hungry and could only eat half of it too! I would order this over and over again! My fiancé ordered the porterhouse with asparagus and a side of scallops. He raved about the scallops all night! He said they were the best he has had, even better than a seafood restaurants'. He enjoyed his steak as well, which was cooked just to his liking and seasoned nicely. He almost started chewing the bone to get the last bits of meat off! He said the asparagus had a light lemon and salt flavor. To finish the meal we chose the crème brûlée. The crust was thick, the custard rich and the whole thing quite addictive. I would order it again for sure. Our meal, which had 2 cocktails too, came out to under $200 even with a 25% tip. We think it was certainty worth the price for the attentiveness of the staff and quality and flavors of the food we received. We are looking forward to coming back!“

“I reserved a table for my husband and I to celebrate our recent marriage. It was Friday night and SO busy. Even though it was packed, the staff were very attentive, friendly, and open to discussing the menu. We were very appreciative of the gluten free modifications they made for us (and a lot of it didn't even need modified). Excellent cocktails and my husband was able to watch Chef and staff prepare (in the main lounge). The Sea Bass was excellent and my husband said the Waygu steak "will haunt my dreams." We finished with Creme Brûlée, which was already gluten free. We will definitely go back again.“

The artichoke hearts are another staple dish here that can not be missed.“

All the excellent sauces are naturally melded from the pasta, and there is nothing to soak up the flavorful sauce. It was a missed opportunity. The cocktails were meh.“

Friendly, attentive, and offered good suggestions. The trout dip tasted like trout (yea) and the toast was perfect. The vegetable club was amazing - golden beets, slice of feta. Truly a taste fest. The smoked old fashion was a unique take with the orange slice holding in the smoke a little longer.“

The waffle was amazing the only thing was it may have been maybe sitting under a light for a while becuase there was a portion of it that was crispy like chips, I didn't care for that at all. The coffee was lukewarm, and my bacon was overcooked. But the reason i gave them 5 stars is because the service was SUPERB! We were visiting and didn't know of any places to go so we asked the waitress and they took their time and gave us a list of a couple places we could visit in the city and to me that in itself was awesome. Also the waitress removed the overcooked bacon and the lukewarm coffee from my tab, when she noticed that I didn't eat it, without me even having to ask, although I wouldn't have, I would've just paid for it. This place was clean and it was absolutely, for us, worth it.“

“I called prior to my reservation to see if the patio was still reserved for us as indicated in my notes. Whoever I spoke to disclosed that the patio would not be available and she was accommodating in getting me another location that was desirable, which was very much appreciated. Once we showed up to the restaurant I asked if it was at all possible to sit on the patio as there was no indication that it could not be utilized. Weather was amazing for a happy hour and rain had passed 2+ hours prior. She said it would take 30 minutes to clean up. I was a little shocked considering across the street at Townhall they had their patio wiped down in about 15 minutes. There were 3-4 girls standing around talking while they could have been getting the patio “ready” (it truly didn't need much in my opinion). In customer service the little things matter and it felt as if the staff wanted to limit their service radius to accommodate their own needs. I could be very wrong. Overall I have raved to friends about the service at Hubbard Grille for years, but lately, it isn't the same.“

“This is one of the best restaurants for breakfast, brunch, and dinner. The food is consistent. I have visited all the locations in the area, and I can confidently say that the food quality, quantities, and flavor are consistent. My favorite meal selections are the cloud nine pancakes, applewood smoked bacon, homemade breakfast sausage, country breakfast, fresh buttermilk biscuit, classic cheeseburger, Northstar burger, fish sandwich, and chopped salad. I have never had a bad experience or meal at Northstar. This is the energy and sense of community that was present at Starbucks. You can see and feel through the experience and the atmosphere that Northstar is firmly committed to exceptional service and quality. This is my go-to spot to rewind, relax, and socialize.“
