“I will definitely go back! They had 3 vegetarian options for the day and at a Jamaican restaurant thats rare lol. I bought all 3 and tbh the soup is my favorite because it has a good consistency, AMAZING flavour and enough spice. The Ital stew is second to the soup and still had sooo much flavour. The only reason the chick peas is my least favorite is because I just have it often but it tastes great too lol

“Lena's Roti & Doubles offers great tasting Trinidadian cuisine, including Doubles, Roti, Bakes, stews, and lots more! They have five locations in the GTA. I visited the one in Ajax recently.

Their menu has lots to offer and it took us a while to decide but we ended up ordering Doubles, Goat Pie, Bake and Salt Fish, Bake and Smoke Herring, and Curry Duck with Rice. It was all delicious but my favourite was the Curry Duck. It had lots of great flavour.

As full as we were, we had to try their house-made ice cream: Mango, Soursop, and Pina Colada. They were all good!

I had an incredible time at Rotilicious! From the moment we walked in, the place had a lively yet laid-back vibe, with friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The ambiance is perfect for a casual night out or a special celebration.

The food was absolutely fantastic. We started with the signature roti wraps, which were filled with tender, flavorful fillings and perfectly cooked. I tried the oxtail roti, and it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The combination of spices and the savory gravy was just right. My friends also loved the curry goat roti and the chickpea filling—each one bursting with flavor.

The drink area was a great bonus! The bar had a fantastic selection, and the cocktails were on point. I had a refreshing rum punch that was perfectly balanced and so delicious. The bartenders were friendly and knew how to make a great drink.

We also had fun at the pool table after our meal. It’s a great way to relax and enjoy the evening with friends.

“Big difference in taste and size from the original Mona's but don't let that affect your judgement. If you look at it as a standalone place it is good food and although no doubles and aloo pies, the Greek and jerk combos are wayyyy more. Breakfast wise... No doubles so a curry potato roti is the carb load you need. I forgot to ask for the skin with sauce here, but also a good alternative.

It's a very trendy package and I can see why the tik toks and Instagram guys are liking this. I would definately recommend this for catering a business lunch for a cosmopolitan palette.

“I first was introduced to Val & Patsy's when they were at Pickering Flea Market. Was there every Sunday and on the way out stopped and grabbed my food. When flea market closed figured everything shut down so looked at different places. Some were so so others just ok, As I was driving I guess over a year ago on Monarch Avenue in Ajax saw a sign posted on the boulevard. When I walked in to my surprise saw Patsy. I was so glad as there are no places that I searched for held a candle to this place. Val and Patsy's don't know how do but have a unique flavor that my taste buds can't get enough. Been a loyal customer since that day found and if any of you check out not only will understand my review but bet you also will find your nook in the corner for Island Food.“

“So here we are at Curry Tabanca formerly known as Drupati's. I think I prefer the original We bought Doubles, which were similar to Lena's they are sisters after all, but tastier. They both seem to be not putting enough chadon beni in their seasoning. Pholourie was spongy and nice. Loved it. Buss up shut still untouched in freezer so can't comment whether they are 'paratha' or buss up shu?
All in all much tastier than Lena's
Very clean and inviting atmosphere.
