We ordered vanilla this time with vanilla buttercream and it was delicious. She was courteous, friendly, and kept the meal going at a wonderful pace, always checking in for anything we might need and ensuring no one’s glass was ever empty. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the food and beverage listings making great recommendations from the draught menu for my partner. On top of the excellent hospitality, the restaurant is decorated so stunningly and the food was delicious. I had the black bean “meat” loaf and was pleased to have such a flavourful vegetarian dish. I will happily be returning in the future to enjoy Alex’s service again and will be recommending my friends do the same! Thanks for a great night“

“I'm giving them 5 stars because the owner is a very nice gentleman, and met him during my visit, so I don't want to negatively impact their score, but the jerk is why I went in, and it was alright, definitely not 5 stars. Wish it was a little more spicy, maybe if it had some gravy, but it was dry. Even when I asked for some gravy, the Asian male worker putting together the food watched me like I committed a crime. I wish the owner was there to see, but he went to the back. Which is nuts, because the lady taking orders is very nice, and she even asked if I wanted oxtail gravy, which I said yes. I mean I understand the environment in Oshawa you're trying to attend to, but when your ppl come in, maybe understand we want the real taste, and not the basic standard, and try to accommodate? How much would it put you out for a little more gravy or offer some pepper sauce? Now, I don't know if I'd go back, which sucks, cause I was hoping this place would be it for jerk in Oshawa, as a man from Malvern who knows Alwyns from small. Don't let your staff mess up your brand.“

“Nice little cafe across the road from the lake in downtown Port Perry.Decor is a little tired and space is at a premium. Prices are quite reasonable.Very nice light menu, good food quality, and friendly staff help to explain why this small restaurant is so popular.Limited space and slightly restricted hours (our visit was in early March) make a reservation a good idea.The bake shop has some really nice items, but the cafe couldn't/wouldn't provide *any* bags, so it's pretty inconvenient if you want more than a single item to eat in your hand.Definitely worth a visit.“

The entire experience right from ordering to execution was great. They told me exactly what they could do, the size that it would come in etc. When we picked up the cake, we were so delighted. “I called Cupcake Goodness last-minute to order 40 nut-free cupcakes which had to be individually wrapped so that I could bring them to school for my son’s class on his birthday, which falls on Valentine’s Day. Knowing how busy Valentine’s Day likely is for business, paired with my last-minute and extremely high-maintenance request, I doubted that I’d be able to make this happen. After seeing my options in the area and reading customer reviews for many bakeries, I decided on Cupcake Goodness because of the exciting options they offered for their cupcakes and the reviews. I called and was pleasantly greeted by a very cheerful woman I would later learn is named Carla. Carla was very patient with me as I told her what I needed. She answered all of my questions, made suggestions that were very helpful, and walked me through how to place the order online. Poor Carla even accommodated about 5 different pick-up time changes within 10 hours and never once complained (don’t you dare do it to her too, though!!!!!). She was pleasant, friendly, and even laughed with me through all the changes.When I went to pick up the cupcakes the next morning, I could smell the deliciousness of her baking as I approached her building and was immediately excited to see her final product. Carla was so sweet, and the pick-up took mere seconds! Everything was ready to go, individually packaged as requested, and she even labelled each individual cupcake as well as listed how many of each cupcake was in the box and the ingredients of each one so that the kids in the class could all pick based on their preference (I forgot to take a photo where she outlined the ingredients and amount of each cupcake).I am beyond grateful to Carla for her patience, her willingness to accommodate my constantly-changing timeline, and for the mere love of her art which is very evident in the product she delivered! Delicious mouth-watering YUM in every bite!I will be returning to Carla for any and all baking needs in the future, and you should, too!Carla - thank you times a million (plus 40 ?)!Kid-friendliness: Nut free and individually wrapped colourful cupcakes with delicious smells and flavours.
