The food was delicious and compliments to the chef! We also indulged in their tiramisu cake as our dessert and my goodness, the flavor! So fresh! “We’ve been regular customers at this location since it’s just a short walk from our home. Being vegetarian and non-alcoholic, we usually enjoy ordering nachos, the artichoke dip, and a Pepsi. Our visits are usually peaceful and pleasant, and we stay for about an hour or so. In the past, we’ve been helped by staff like Alex, Haris, and Rosa, who always made us feel welcome and comfortable.

However, today’s experience was disappointing and quite upsetting. We requested to sit on the sofa side instead of the middle tables, and one of the helpers kindly said it was okay. But then another employee, whose name I will not mention, intervened. She called the other staff member over and appeared visibly displeased about our request. What made it worse was that she then walked over to the main counter and seemed to be discussing us with others — we noticed her constantly looking at our table, which made us feel extremely uncomfortable.

She ended up being the one to serve our food, and her attitude — through both her tone and facial expressions — felt unwelcoming and cold. The experience made us so uneasy that we left within 25 minutes, much earlier than usual, and sadly decided not to return.

As regular patrons, this was very disappointing. We hope the management takes this feedback seriously because one negative interaction can undo months of good service.“

“Like a lot of people, we have been coming since they opened and their dt location prior to that.
A lot of people have lately shift to a new banh mi store, and made a lot of false claims of nguyen huong that have served us over decades.

1. They claim this place put only little bit of pate, false. My recent purchase of the basic cold cut banh mi from here, lots of pate especially the last bite. The new place gives only little and it was tasteless.

2. Garnishes, they stuffed it here. The new place, barely any. And what's more interesting, the new place's veggies are all tasteless. How do they manage to do that?

3. The bun itself smells and tastes so good here. The new place, chewy and tasteless, just long... quality vs quantity.

4. Attitude. No way people, I have been coming here since they first opened. The ladies here are so friendly and I feel welcome like a friend, never have I experienced attitude, even I come 2 minutes before they closed. They might be loud and direct but I find the way they talk are actually like cartoon. (Lol)

Yes, this place's more msg but bearable, also tastes 100 times better and cheaper too.

“Wow, the food is great at this place! We've eaten at several AYCE places in Toronto and GTA and it is the best; great and different variety, everything was tasty, even an extensive non alcohol drink menu as well as free pop along with water included in the price of the all you can eat. Discount for paying cash. It's the first time I've seen a tempura oreo cookie! We had to try it. Different but not bad.
The service was fast once we were served. Not terribly friendly but efficient. Customers were noisy and played their phones or talked loudly, kids cried. But I guess that's typical in a family type restaurant.
The ambiance was questionable, uneven and some places dark lighting and sketchy bathrooms (ie cold, very loud music, bad lighting). The Bellabot serving robot was adorable, busy and would be arguably better without the slightly offensive religious sticker on it.
We plan to be back. Maybe the atmosphere was just a one off, we will see next time.“
