“I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to share my experience at Maimana Naan & Kebab in Whitby.

I originally placed a pickup order for the Ajax location and received a confirmation email and text. However when I got there, the restaurant was closed for renovations. I get that things like this happen, but I was kind of stuck. I ended up calling the Whitby location to see if there was anything they could do, and they asked me for my order and said they could make it for me there instead.

When I went to pickup the order from Whitby, I realized the two locations aren’t even owned by the same person, which honestly made the gesture even more meaningful. They really didn’t have to honour the order, especially on a busy Friday night, but they did and I really appreciate it.

As for the food, everything was delicious. We ordered the lamb shank and lamb tikka with Qabili rice, along with salad and naan. The lamb shank was incredibly tender and fell right off the bone, and the lamb tikka was packed with flavour. The Qabili rice was a standout and paired perfectly with everything.

The restaurant itself was clean, welcoming, and had a good number of tables. It’s a really nice space, and I’d definitely dine in next time.

Overall, I was blown away by the level of service. They truly went above and beyond when they didn’t have to, and for that, they deserve every bit of support and recognition.“

“I had my daughter's 8th Birthday at the Whitby location today and I was beyond happy! Hareem and her team were fantastic! Hareem always answered emails, text messages and made it all happen like she promised! She made sure all the children were always involved and comfortable. Everyone had a great time. . . especially the birthday girl! I highly recommend Menchie's Whitby for birthday parties. . . we were definitely pleased!
