I waived the manager down and she gives the excuse of the waffle maker being broken then the waitress says it was because they got our slips mixed up. They gave me antra salad to make up for it and my kid got sprinkles on his waffles. No discount on the bill. I loved going to this place but we will not be visiting Symposium again“

“I tired gamjatang about 22 dollars including tax. Pork meat were really chewy and little bit spicy. Potatoes were cooked perfect to go with soup. Soup were little bit spicy for my taste. Portion size were huge for me.

“Absolutely delicious sweet and savory treats. I have so many food allergies but I can safely eat the food from this bakery. i appreciate the plant based options too. I love the oat fudge bars, vanilla cakes/cupcakes, chocolate cakes/cupcakes, custom cakes, both types of quiche, the scones, brownies, spiced chocolate bar, lattes, drip coffee, cookies...geeze I guess I go there a lot. I haven't even tried everything in the bakery yet. It is a wonderful for breakfast, midday treat and dessert after dinner. I stock up on Sunday to have enough to last me until Thursday morning when the bakery reopens for the week. I am having a very hard time sticking to just one item a day. It is great for school lunch treats because it is a nut free bakery. This is important for school staff and students.“

Update: just went into the store in person to check out the place today. The server who greeted me had NO customer service. After I ordered she kicked me out of the store to stand in the cold for 10 mins to wait for the food...and there was only her and the cook and no other customer in the store. I have also ordered their homemade kimichi as a side and it is such a small bowl but more expensive than the other korean restaurant (theirs small kimichi is $3 bucks) nearby who served similar food....hmmmmmm worth to give it a try but the customer service will keep me from going into the store for a bit. Just order take out its easier“

When they were open for indoor dining this place was packed every time we went. When I asked how things were going with takeout earlier today, Phavy stated it was a little slow. “Visited vegetarian restaurant Bo Tree today, and I highly recommend it. The carrot purree soup is a nice surprise, which is not our typical combo soup. Fancier, in a good way. The Japanese "chicken" Katsu is prepared with Japanese rice, with very fluffy eggs. The curry is flavorful and better than some of those I have tried in authentic Japanese restaurant. The"chicken" is chewy, and surprisingly resembled the real counterpart. The dumplings udon is a good choice for comfort food. The menu has a huge selection, and I would definitely go back again to try their other dishes. Their fish and chips will be the next on my radar.“

There’s a review that talks about the drink menu being limited which is wild because this is one of the only “breweries” that offers not only some really great cocktails but wine and mocktails as well. It’s a classic Ontario chain, but the quality here tastes way better than standard fast-food pizza. The crust has a great chew to it, and the sauce is actually flavorful, not just sugary. We grabbed a pie with their standard pepperoni and a side of garlic dipping sauce (which is non-negotiable up here). Service was lightning-fast, and the shop was super clean. “This is a MUST GO TO Restaurant. I went for breakfast on March 20/23. My experience started with the best service from General Manager Gary Anthony. He was friendly, informative, and fast. The breakfast menu has everything. I love Eggs Bennie. While my style was not on the menu, Gary made it happen anyway. THE BEST EGGS BENNIE EVER! Gary recommended the Banana/Orange/Strawberry juice (it says fresh on the menu). I asked if it was "that grocery store brand" that shall not be named here. He said NO, we made it fresh from real fruit in the blender. It was like a smoothie from heaven. I will return often. While I live about 30 - 40 k from this restaurant (I had an appointment near it that morning) - I will be returning again and often. Next time I'm bringing my wife - She'll love it. Thank you Gary.“

“I'm a long time frequenter of RM. One sign of a great restaurant is their consistency. I've seen consistency in menu, taste, and service over the last ten years.

The service is always attentive and warm. The menu can be hard to decipher, and wait staff are always willing to explain and help. They also go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need.

And yet, that's not the best part. The food here is absolutely incredible. I've been to Malaysia a dozen times, mostly because I fell in love with the food culture when I was a teenager. The roti canai here is exceptional.

Recently I had the laksa, it's one of the best I've had in Toronto. I've also really enjoyed the three different types of fried chicken that come with the moreish prawn crisps. The Haiense Chicken is also authentic and full of flavour.

They also have some non-traditional Malay dishes that are worth giving a try. And lastly, treat yourself with a te Tarik...so, so good

If you're into Malay or Singaporean food, or just curious- this is the place to go in the GTA. You'll be pleasantly surprised.“
