“My friend recommended Locale and wow, was it wonderful. The staff were warm and welcoming and the food was top notch. The mussels were great as an appetizer and the seafood pasta was perfectly cooked. For a little giddy up, I added the hot pepper oil, and it was delightful. The warm sour dough bread was a great adfition. Roman, and team, did a stellar job in looking after us this evening. I will go back for the pizza next time.“

“Absolutely delicious sweet and savory treats. I have so many food allergies but I can safely eat the food from this bakery. i appreciate the plant based options too. I love the oat fudge bars, vanilla cakes/cupcakes, chocolate cakes/cupcakes, custom cakes, both types of quiche, the scones, brownies, spiced chocolate bar, lattes, drip coffee, cookies...geeze I guess I go there a lot. I haven't even tried everything in the bakery yet. It is a wonderful for breakfast, midday treat and dessert after dinner. I stock up on Sunday to have enough to last me until Thursday morning when the bakery reopens for the week. I am having a very hard time sticking to just one item a day. Update: just went into the store in person to check out the place today. The server who greeted me had NO customer service. After I ordered she kicked me out of the store to stand in the cold for 10 mins to wait for the food...and there was only her and the cook and no other customer in the store. I have also ordered their homemade kimichi as a side and it is such a small bowl but more expensive than the other korean restaurant (theirs small kimichi is $3 bucks) nearby who served similar food....hmmmmmm worth to give it a try but the customer service will keep me from going into the store for a bit. We had such a wonderful first experience at George Brew House Eatery on Main Street, and I felt compelled to share just how great it was!

A huge thank you to our server, Nick, who truly made our visit exceptional. From the moment we sat down, he was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He took the time to explain options, offered helpful recommendations, and made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. What stood out the most was how respectfully and kindly he treated my daughter—he made sure she felt included and comfortable, which meant a lot to me as a parent. His professionalism, patience, and positive attitude really elevated our entire dining experience.

The atmosphere and ambiance were also fantastic—relaxed, inviting, and perfect for spending quality time together.

For drinks, I had the George Light beer, which was smooth and refreshing, and my daughter ordered the Bitter Sweet Sunset (non-alcoholic), which she absolutely loved.

We shared the large tavern veggie nachos, and they were delicious overall—great flavor and perfect for sharing. The only small suggestion would be to add a bit more veggies on top, especially for the price. We also ordered fries, which were outstanding—super crunchy, fresh, and perfectly done with the skin on.

As a side note, we also ordered a double smash burger to go for my son at home ($22), and he absolutely loved it!

“Visited vegetarian restaurant Bo Tree today, and I highly recommend it. The carrot purree soup is a nice surprise, which is not our typical combo soup. Fancier, in a good way. The Japanese "chicken" Katsu is prepared with Japanese rice, with very fluffy eggs. The curry is flavorful and better than some of those I have tried in authentic Japanese restaurant. The"chicken" is chewy, and surprisingly resembled the real counterpart. The dumplings udon is a good choice for comfort food. The menu has a huge selection, and I would definitely go back again to try their other dishes. Their fish and chips will be the next on my radar.“

“This is a MUST GO TO Restaurant. I went for breakfast on March 20/23. My experience started with the best service from General Manager Gary Anthony. He was friendly, informative, and fast. The breakfast menu has everything. I love Eggs Bennie. While my style was not on the menu, Gary made it happen anyway. THE BEST EGGS BENNIE EVER! Gary recommended the Banana/Orange/Strawberry juice (it says fresh on the menu). I asked if it was "that grocery store brand" that shall not be named here. He said NO, we made it fresh from real fruit in the blender. It was like a smoothie from heaven. I will return often. While I live about 30 - 40 k from this restaurant (I had an appointment near it that morning) - I will be returning again and often. Next time I'm bringing my wife - She'll love it. Thank you Gary.“

“For a restaurant that has been around for 20 years, the food is good, not amazing. Basically all the recommendations are fine, but venture off that list and the dishes are average if not a bit confusing in terms of taste.

Satay beef skewers was the best dish we had. Meat was tender and tasty. The sauce was is sweet, but I believe that is typical for Malaysian food? Roti with curry was also memorable because of the soft airy roti. However, the curry was warm, but not hot. We had lamb with ours and the meat was not gamey. Overall happy with the food.

Laksa was salty and lacked any fragrant coconut taste. A bit disappointing for sure. The pineapple fried rice also lacked any distinctive flavour. It’s great fried rice and they use fresh pineapple, but that is about it.

Banana roti is sweet. Roti was great, banana flavour can be a tasted, but the sweetness was a tad overpowering.

The stir fried beans were overcooked, not recommended. I wished we tried the egg plant instead.

The kitchen’s last call is at 7:30pm and they ran out of char kway teow when we ordered. I feel that dish needs to be tried if you visit. The restaurant was pretty full when we got there, but we did not need to wait in line.

Overall, for a restaurant that has been around for such a long time, it’s good. I think the taste profiles for some of the dishes could be improved.“
