If you don't mind some flavor, there's not much you can go wrong with at this shop. One other person has mentioned the food is greasy. That's not accurate. A lot of it's oily, not greasy. It's Sichuan food, and that's normal for Sichuan food; it allows the flavor to spread throughout the food.

The beef cuts they use are catered more for an Asian taste. They're chewy and fatty so as to impart the most amount of flavor.

I've been going to this place regularly since it opened because it's right next door to our office. I've never once had a visit where I had to wait a long time for food. The other fellow that had to wait a long time for food must have just hit them on a really bad day or something. The longest I've had to wait is 15 to 20 minutes, and that was on a super busy day before covid hit for the pineapple fried rice.

They also have another location on Dundas just east of Hurontario. Hamilton is their second location.

This shop is in my top three Chinese restaurants in Hamilton, and quite possibly my number one. My favorite dish here is the dumplings and chili oil. BEST DUMPLINGS EVER!

“Amazing food , always order in but each time it’s always delicious. The best wonton soup in town 8 wontons for the price of 4 at regular restaurants. Unfortunately even though they are open til 11 I can’t order through Skip as it says they are closed and their phone number won’t work so I can’t even get an order placed so we go to South City which actually still delivers without having a delivery app. South city is just as amazing luckily. It’s only 8pm on a Saturday night how can they not be taking orders still?“

The beef noodles dish is on the spicier side so if you have a low spice tolerance order with caution. The atmosphere accompanied the homemade quality of food with a home like environment. I typically get the two-item plate with the noodles, broccoli, and General Tao Chicken and while the quality of each bite can vary a little bit, it is all within an acceptable range and at least as good, if not much better than most food court Chinese food. “Got a Schezuan chicken fried rice combo and it only had 5 pieces of chicken in it and they only only give you 1 hot sauce and shit load of plum sauce so make sure you ask for extra hot sauce instead of 4 plum sauce. “Ordered a shrimp fried rice, it was piping hot and ready in the time they stated when I called. This is a very simple dish, rice and shrimp. I didn't notice any vegetables or egg in the rice, egg would have been a nice touch, but nevertheless, the rice was flavourful not overly salty at all, the shrimp is cut up but there is a good amount of shrimp, not only what you see in the photo but there are also pieces under the rice, almost every bite of rice could have a bit of shrimp. The shrimp wasn't very seasoned but were plump, cooked perfectly and everything came together well. For $12 I am thourally satisfied. This is a simple take out place, but I would say very authentic, but I'm no expert!“

“I had the urge for Beef With Black Bean sauce today. I searched the Waterdown area and decided to try China Wok. Truth be told, I chose this place because BWBB is one of their lunch specials...and I wanted it for my dinner. I placed my order on the phone, showed up after the 10 minutes I was told it would take. It was ready when I got there. The counter person was friendly and very professional. I brought home my meal and 4 hours later enjoyed it so much! For less than $13.00, I had a delicious BWBB, and it came with white rice ( or chicken fried rice if you prefer) but also 2 spring rolls! It was truly delicious! There is more than enought o enjoy for lunch tomorrow. The only thing I would change is to have a bit more of the sauce ...next time I will ask for some on the side!“
