“CANNOT say enough about our experience tonight at Conversate. Shauna and Ricki (I’m guessing on the spelling, sorry ladies!) we’re absolutely welcoming, knowledgeable and genuine. The location is lovely and excellent eclectic decor. Now, THE FOOD. Holy Motherless Goats!!! The flavor profiles are unique (chocolate jalapeño butter with balsamic for the table bread = MIND BLOWN), the presentation and the quality is some of the best we’ve ever had. “Love this place and the small town feel it has! We go back over and over as there is always something new and delicious to try. They have specials that change regularly and a good variety of dessert options that also get changed up. We love how friendly the staff are, how they welcome everyone from all walks of life, and how you just feel like you’re among friends there. Don’t be in a rush when you go - the food comes out quickly but we always find we’re there longer than we think we will be. “We went for a walk down Locke street after eating at a local restaurant. Saw the Shuck Truck for the first time, but they were closed for an hour. Got to talking to the owner who was still there. She was kind enough to reopen just for us and shucked a dozen oysters on the half shell. Very fresh, very tasty and very nice…thank you so much!“

“Food was fabulous...we had steak potatoes and veggies and the chicken dinner with mashed and veggies. Tasted amazing on both entrees. Had the keg salad and baked cheese shrimp.Was a fabulous nite and our server was attentive even though every table at the bar area and lounge were full.Parking: There is alot of parker but you usually have to find a spot and or a spot at the back if at dinner time as they share lot with another restaurant.“

“Hands down the BEST fine dinning in Hamilton! This was the first time coming and will not be our last.We came for our anniversary we were greeted right away and was wished a Happy Anniversary. We were seated in a very romantic quiet spot. Ben our server was amazing he’s very knowledgeable, attentive, personable and truly amazing. What a small world Warner who use to be the manager at Lo Presti’s knew my father very well.We had the bake bri appetizer and wow 10 out 10 my husband ordered the bison and I ordered the Rib steak. “Great food, great people, and great atmosphere. I have been going here with my family for years and it's always been so classy and welcoming. One time I went with my partner and he accidentally had some almond syrup from my drink (he's allergic to most nuts but we don't know which for certain) and once we made the waitress aware of it she was so helpful. She immediately checked the ingredients in our drinks and not only notified us of the almonds, but regularly checked in to make sure he was alright. Thankfully, he didn't have a reaction but it warms my heart to see a business that truly cares about their employees and customers. “After a quick Google search, we came across The Portuguese Grill House one afternoon while looking for pace to have lunch while driving through Waterdown. We ordered the family meal and an extra side salad. It was shared by 3 adults, and we have more than enough to take home for another meal. We got a whole chicken (spicy), rice, potatoes and salad. It was the best Portuguese chicken I have had in a long time! The food was delicious and fresh, and the service was friendly and attentive. I recommend trying it out, it was great!
