“Beautiful restaurant. Awesome food. Flavor is spot on. Ribeye medium rare cooked perfectly. Great chimichurri sauce! Brussel sprouts side is very tasty. Truffle mashed unfortunately had no truffle flavor at all. Grilled calamari was cooked well and good flavoring on the sauces. Music is abit too loud we could barely hear the waiter and the choice of music don’t really suit the ambiance of the place (it went from dance to hip hop and then country music anything but dinner music) Service was great. Portion size was good.“

“I recently visited this Hakka restaurant after seeing some excellent reviews, which seemed genuine compared to many others. I decided to give it a try, and it turned out to be the best Hakka experience we had in years. The food was fresh and clean, without being overloaded with MSG like many other Hakka places. From the fried rice to the dry chilli fish, Hakka noodles, and soup, each dish had a unique taste and fantastic flavor. Unlike other Hakka spots where everything tastes the same, this place really stood out. The chicken was tender, with a light batter that made it soft and easy to eat, not hard or chewy. Chef Gopi was also incredibly helpful, taking the time to explain dishes we weren’t familiar with and guiding us toward the perfect choices. Overall, this will definitely be our go-to Hakka restaurant from now on. Amazing job, team!“

We did not have a reservation and came in and they were able to squeeze us in super quick but were completely transparent about how long we would have for dinner. The steak was the best steak we have ever had!! Thank you to all the staff that were so sweet and funny! 10/10 making a reservation so we can have the full experience next time!“

“First time though in the neighbourhood 30 years. Typical 12-3 lunch special. Hot & sour (only, no corn, no Tom yum) quite good - well balanced. Spring roll same as everywhere else - must be from the same giant spring roll factory in China -. Broad offering of main item, including Thai curries, uncommon sauces in non breaded chicken and beef. No premium for shrimp.
Prices very accessible for "just lunch". Free tea not water would be a bonus, but it's fine even without.“

“Halibut House is a great place to enjoy halibut and chips at a reasonable price given the serving sizes. Jose will cook your fish with a light batter upon request. It is tasty and can be enjoyed with coleslaw, french fries or sweet potato fries. I highly recommend the battered mushrooms in advance. Cheesecake selections from The Cheesecake Factory are available for desert.

The atmosphere is comfortable but a little spartan as is the norm in most f & c establishments but Jose and the other members of staff make it a warm and welcoming experience.

In an era when the art of properly cooking fish and chips in general appears to be declining, as is the portion size, this location of Halibut House is a welcomed exception.

“We just had a wonderful dinner in this amazing place ,I've been ordering from them for a long time ... The owner is keeping the food and quality at the same standards as his opening day ....Coco is such a pleasant person to talk to also she is always attentive and careful .Never had a glass empty ,always comes and ask if we are happy with the food if we need anything......very good customer service. We are driving 20 min to this restaurant but I would do it all the time and the reason is as I said customer service impeccable, accommodation being vegan lots of restaurants found hard ways to accommodate us ....and on top of everything....the positive energy that flows is just above everyone's expectations.“
