“Sat night at local perfect way to escape the winter blahs. We had dinner and drinks and everyone loved their dinner. Jackie was awesome! Helpful with suggestions and just the right level of service!
The spice levels on the blackened chicken in enchiladas and spicy chicken sandwiches was more than expected but it was good!

“I've driven by this place over 100 times as i only live 4 minutes away.Well i decided to finally give them a try. I ordered the Hot honey Chicken sandwich and the Golden Honey BBQ wings.Well let me just say that the chicken sandwich was the best i've had in my life and i'm 66..My wife says she eats to live and i live to eat.The sandwich was huge,unbelievably juicy and crispy on the outside with a great mix of hot and spicy..and they don't skimp on the bun which held together well.The wings were excellent too with a hint of mustard.Also very impressed with the takeout container..most places just wrap the sandwich in paper and it drips through the bag and on your car seat..Raza please to meet you and your wife and i'll see you soon to try the Hamburgers next.“

“My husband & I came for an early dinner on a weekday to have the quarter chicken dinner special as this is our favourite location where we always came as a family when our kids were younger.
Everything was fantastic! The food was hot & delicious, and the service was great!
We will be coming back with our grandson very soon!“

“solid 3.5 stars on the food, but i feel like I may update this after trying them again.
The Old York Tavern feels like an old-man bar with a facelift (which i love) cozy, warm inviting atmosphere, good character. It’s definitely on the smaller side, so tables are very close together, but it kind of adds to the character.
My friend and I caught the tail end of happy hour and the drink + oyster deal is a great value. That said, the oysters were shucked pretty poorly (lots of shell bits), which was a bit of a letdown.
Food-wise, my first experience was a mixed bag but mostly positive.
Mortadella sandwich: Amazing flavour, but I did end up pulling a couple long stringy rinds out of my mouth, which kind of turned me off, but the sandwich itself was great
Chicken liver mousse: I’m not a mousse person, so take this with a grain of salt. The flavour was fine, just not my thing texture-wise.
Stracciatella & flatbread: Hands down the star of the meal. The flatbread was unreal, perfect texture and flavour and the stracciatella with roasted grapes was such a good combo.
Salt & pepper calamari: Good, solid, nothing groundbreaking.
Overall, the meal was good, service was excellent and the vibe is great. I’d definitely go back to try more dishes“

“It’s a nice cozy spot in the corner. I like the variety for the combo option. Nice balance of veggies and proteins to choose from. The portion was really good for the price. Some were a bit dry but it’s definitely a nice place to get a balanced meal from.“

“Jim was our server and he was absolutely accomodating to our group of 30 people. He was patient with our orders and kept checking in on us to make sure food and beverages were flowing. He is a very hard worker and we appreciated his efforts.“

“Not exaggerating - best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Crispy, juicy, full of flavour, and not oily. Fries are crispy and delicious too. Great portions, great price.
Better than Mary Brown, KFC, Popeyes, Jollibee. Will 100% be back.

“Wonderful place on a Saturday afternoon, sunny or cloudy. They are great staff. It can be slow because there is one employee on. BUT that is ok with me as I want to relax. Having more than one server is not justified. I hope people understand this when going in there. 😎“

“We go there all the time every time the experience is A+. This is the first time that we had a really bad experience because of our server. We had a new server serving us and knowingly incorrectly charges us Bibek or Bivek his name, when i even pointed out to him, still had to come back three times to get it right. Made it really an unpleasant experience after dinner. Regardless I still left a tip which I felt he didn't deserve, but other people also helped with our table so I wasn't sure if it was shared and don't want to put the blame on your other staff. This place always treats us well except for this time and only because of the service and the server. Food and ambience and other staff are always great as usual“

“What a fantastic culinary experience! We split the Brisket Poutine & the Big Dill burger and complimented the delicious food with their house made cocktails (Espresso Martini & Bees Knees) which were spectacular as well! Can’t wait to visit again soon 😃“
