“We love Trailsides so when I was planning a Birthday dinner for my Husband it was a no brainer that we would celebrate there. I reserved an area in the back which was the perfect spot for our party of 20. Our server Christine was a rockstar! Kept all the food orders straight, and kept the drinks coming!The bartender Tanya beyond helpful with all my questions about setting up, decorations etc. We had a lot of Blue Jays fans with us so she made sure the game was on the big screen next to us. We couldn’t have asked for a better night. Thank you Trailsides ?“

“The place has lots of cool Buffalo sports memorabilia. Lots of pic and jerseys lining the walls. Our server was so friendly and sweet. We split a few things since it was out 1st time here. Everything was served piping hot. The pickle chips were crispy and crunchy, with a nice dipping sauce, a little spicy but all tasty. The fries were cooked the way fries should be. Crispy outside, mashed potato like inside. The gravy served on the side was not very good. It was clumpy and not very tasty. The pulled pork(recommended by our fabulous server) was delicious, but I bit into a bone that damn near knocked my crown off. The server was very apologetic, and they even removed the sandwich from the check. (kind gesture that not a lot of places would do) The roast beef was good, but it was a bit overcooked for my taste. We really liked the atmosphere and the service, so we'll definitely return. You can't be perfect every day.“

“The exact embodiment of an Irish Pub you'd imagine if someone asked you to think of the ideal Irish pub, except without the stereotype redhead with green eyes at the door. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Food was decent, drinks served fast, and probably the best spot to take a date on Saint Paddy's (which I failed to do).Edit to add: each time I've been by here, Megan has been hostess/server. She's great! Instantly personable, relatable, a delight.If you can afford to spend a bit, the Banshee is really the best little spot to hang out. The charm of the space, and the staff, makes each visit deeply satisfying.Parking: There are a number of paid parking lots and paid parking garages in the area, but it's smack in the middle of downtown, so expect to pay for your time there. Ride services and cabs are ideal anyway, to prevent bad judgement after a few pints. To be honest, parking right in front of the building on Franklin St is *supposed* to be city street parking with meters, but some ppl have said they park there constantly and never pay anything (at least not in the afternoon/evening). Your call if you want to risk it. You can also pay $30 for the lot next door, if you really need some peace of mind.Wheelchair accessibility: Although the upper floors won't be accessible, the ground floor doors are accessibly wide and swing light on their hinges. The bathrooms can be a little snug to get thru the doors, but there are of course accessible stalls when thru those.“

“Cozy neighborhood eatery and bar. The staff are friendly and make you feel like a regular on your first visit. The wings are great. Good buffalo sauce and crispy, blue cheese is really good, and I'm a buffalo wing snob. Atmosphere sings old buffalo with antiques and vintage photos.“

“I had a pot roast sandwich and a big thing of fries. It was sensational, and the service was great! The friend I was with had traditional beef on whack, which he loved. I really enjoyed this place and the next time I am Buffalo, I will seek it out again.“

“Came here for the dive bar vibe to watch the hockey game last night and it did not disappoint (unlike the Sabres). Always such a fun place to chill, or play a few bar games if you're into that. Ordered the Rhody sandwich which was fantastic. The two bartenders were very attentive and offered great service. Will totally be back for the cheeseburger quesadilla- I need to try it!“

“Had a late afternoon to kill, went in for a burger. Decor is as others described, but the TVs were a bit noisy with MTV blaring a bunch of 90s to 00s alt rock, pop and lots of hip-hop + r&b. It was incongruous, a little grating, and seemed weirdly at odds with the clientele.Clarissa (IIRC) was delightful, and helped me pick the right beer for my mood (Sam Smith's Nut Brown Ale). Was profoundly disappointed to learn they had no kind of fries or hashbrowns available at all, thanks to the postage stamp-sized kitchen having only a grill. The chips would have to do, but at least the Independence burger was excellent.If all you're out for is atmosphere and a beer, this is a quaint, appealing spot, and if you get peckish, the food is quite tasty. (Though a hot plate to make some hash browns or scrambled eggs would add another star here. )“

“Valerie developed her own beer batter, and they have $2 off the fish fry during Friday happy hour this time of year!Also, the dance nights are some of the best I've found. But whatever you're into, Hot Mama's probably has a night for it, karaoke, trivia, pool, sports, etc. Those are just my favorites.“

“I visited Buffalo from Atlanta 3 years ago. I came to town just to clear my mind and checkout a new place for a week. Didn't know anyone. I was stayed at a AirBnB walking distance away from Neighbors Pub. I swung by there to try some Wings in Buffalo and the staff there were great. They know their regulars and knew I was new in town and they were so welcoming. Awesome bar and people.“

“Canal Club is amazing every time I go! This is a wonderful example of what a well run, locally owned business looks like. When you're here, they treat you like family. The food is amazing, and the chef is so friendly. They keep the menu fresh and are always trying different specials which keeps me coming back over and over again. I love the outdoor patio during the summer and the ambiance inside during the colder months. Canal Club should definitely be put on your "must visit" list for locally owned favorites.“

“The DJ music can be a bit too loud but the bands are always fun to see. The bartenders are great, if you're not sure what kind of drink you like or may want they can help you figure it out. The raspberry bbq or the strawberry bbq wings/fingers are incredibly good. Get the mac-n-cheese bites, the mini taco nachos, loaded tater tots or any of their other pub grub and you're set for excellence ??.“

“Kinda loud, but in a fun way. There were multiple all-bar sing-alongs! Wings were absolutely fantastic. Crispy & generously sauced. 40 sauce is highly recommended. The fries portion is gigantic! Great beer selection & friendly staff. A small mistake from the kitchen resulted in free wings!“

“As I was doing some review searching on Yelp, I came upon Chippewa Street and had to leave a review for this place. It's been about a year or so, but when I was in town last spring my brother and I took a trip to downtown Buffalo. I wanted to come down as I used to work down here back in the early nineties and it always holds some real special memories. Simpler times. Anyhow, as we strolled along on the lovely day, we weren't sure what establishment to go into for a couple of beers and we came upon this place. It wasn't even close to being busy as it was middle afternoon on a week day, but it was very nice. We were greeted by a very nice young lady and she chatted with us for a while and it was just a really enjoyable experience. I'm sure it's much different at night or happy hour times - as in much busier and probably a much younger crowd, but for two old guys this was just what the doctor ordered before we headed out to get some pizza. Living out of town now - I can honestly say this; Buffalonians have NO IDEA how good they have it with the almost limitless number of excellent pizza places to choose from, so I always have to have my fix when I'm in town. Anyhow - sorry about the side track - I like the place and will go back when I'm back in town.“

“Great little dive bar on Clinton. We stopped by for a drink and wings. We ended up with a couple of drinks, shots, and an order of hot and bbq wings. Great service, workers were so personable and food was great. Drinks were very reasonable compared to other bars. 10 wings were only $12.95. The sauce was thick and tasty with a different flavor than us buffalonians are used to. They use something different than Frank's, and it had a more tomato flavor. The wings were so crispy, and that crisp never went away. I was shocked that they were crispy to the finish.Our new stop when we are headed downtown for an event!“

“It's a quintessential dive bar. Not a big selection of hard liquor or beers but the essentials are there. The food menu wasn't too big either. Sadly they are a CASH ONLY place but the bartenders are great and on the ball with everything.“
