“Great Pizza and Even Better People!

Stopped by Tangerine Pizza and was really impressed. The pizza was freshly made, with a perfect crust and generous toppings—definitely one of the better pizzas I’ve had in a while.

The owner was an older gentleman—super friendly and clearly knows his craft. There was also a very kind attendant who even upgraded our order to a medium pizza at no extra charge, which was a lovely surprise.

You can tell they put care into both the food and the service. Would absolutely come back again. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates quality and a personal touch.“

“Ok seriously this place is exceptional. I was surprised that it wasn't advertised anywhere on the street, but when I tried their food I saw why no advertising was needed. It's home cooked meals, original dishes and drinks, and such a friendly service you feel like family. It was packed within a few minutes of getting there, but it didn't get too loud. You could still hold a conversation easily without raising your voice.

Cherry on top of the cake was the plethora of gluten free options. I'm celiac so this was just amazing to see and I will 100% be coming back because there are so many things on the menu I want to try!“

“We accidentally stumbled upon this restaurant 2 years ago when we visited Ottawa and we really loved this place for the food and vibes. We went there yesterday again on our Ottawa visit because we wanted food without onion and garlic. Only place in downtown Ottawa where you can get this kind of food is Peace Garden Pushpa who owns this place was kind enough and prepared paninis for us without onion and garlic by modifying the recipe to accomodate our request. If you have such special request please call them a day early. We got the food as take out and enjoyed it on the way back home. If you are looking for great vegan food with home cooked taste, you should visit Peace Garden !!“

My brother did mention that on his Austin steak and cheese sandwich he felt the brisket was a bit fatty so he struggled with that but the flavor was very good and he still enjoyed it. No one else had any issues and loved it. Our server was Ashley and she was outstanding, went above and beyond to make my 6-year-old nephew's day, since it was his birthday. I would definitely return and Ashley should be commended for how great her service was, very engaging, attended a detail and just super friendly.“

“My family enjoyed a take-out meal last night from Sula Wok. I would describe it as incredibly tasty, evocative flavours, large portion sizes and generally a fantastic gastronomical delight! The chicken samosas were the best I have had anywhere in Ottawa, in short - awesome. The mango-ginger sauce for the samosas was also exceptional. My entrèe was the Tibetan Fried noodles with tofu. The portion was generous and carefully prepared. The spices were delightful, the vegetables were fresh, plentiful and throughout the meal rather than just placed on top. Every bite was delicious. Thank you Sula Wok for the best take-out meal I have enjoyed in years! I highly recommend this restaurant. It definitely deserves a five star rating.“

Staff are super friendly and accommodating, lots of games to choose from (although we brought our own from a recent purchase at Imaginaire and they charge you less if you bring your own games so, bonus!). We didn't have any food but the cappucino I had was fabulous (and a great portion size). The nerd trivia upstairs on Monday seemed fun, although not our topic (Star Trek not being either of our forte). This is a great place, highly recommended.“

“We received a gift card from a family member for $100 USD as a Christmas Present and were excited about enjoying a meal at this restaurant. The gift card was purchased directly from Joey's, not a 3rd party. We went and everything initially about the restaurant was very enjoyable. The food was very good, the service was attentive and we enjoyed our experience until the cheque arrived. When we we presented the gift card (electronically) our server went to speak with a ⁶manager and then returned to inform us that the $100 USD would be honoured in Canadian dollars. $100 USD is worth $144.50 Canadian dollars according to google when checked today. We paid the bill and tipped the service team 22% and left after effectively having $44.50 taken from us and our family member in what felt like to us, theft by conversion. The manager in question did not come to follow up after our expressing our disappointment JOEY's is already a very expensive restaurant. Further, the gift card information indicates that Joey's has US based restaurants. I'm quite sure that Canadian dollar gift cards are not accepted at par in the US. This ruined for us, what was otherwise a positive experience, through what felt like to us, an act of corporate greed and impersonal profiteering. After this experience we will not be back and sadly, I cannot recommend JOEY's as a place for anyone else to dine at. Any company that sells a gift card directly and then fails to deliver full value is patently dishonest, in my opinion.“

“First time visitor on March 23, to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The restaurant was happily booked up when I tried to make a reservation, so I was only able to secure a table at 5:15pm. I left a little note asking them to keep us in mind if there was a cancellation for a later spot, and they contacted me by email, text, and phone when a later table became available for 6:15pm. Very responsive and friendly staff. Our time at Soif was marvellous. The staff were friendly and extremely professional. Service was relaxed yet very polished. Our server was knowledgeable about the wine and took great care to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. We had a flight of wine to start, followed by a beautiful bottle of white, and a flight of bubbles to end our evening. We shared a half cheese/half charcuterie platter that came with a mountain of crispy and delicious crostini, the latter being refilled without having to ask. Such a small but lovely touch. We also shared roasted Brussels sprouts, frites and aioli, a bison tartare, and grilled radicchio, that were all delicious. They surprised my friend with a little dessert wine and candle to acknowledge her birthday, which was so kind and thoughtful. I have not a single critique. Noodles have a satisfying texture. The broth is light but flavorful. The green onion and cilantro garnishes are fresh.

Waitress didn’t bother to bring items she said she would. Specifically requested an orange slice for my grandson, never arrived. Promised me cotton candy at the end of my meal. Never arrived. Went to pay because after 5 minutes of us all standing up and packing up the baby, still has to go inside to pay. That’s when my friend slipped on butter from a a knife that was on the floor, staff reaction was oh. And looked the other way!
Still after standing in front of my waitress ( the one who couldn’t care less about the accident the orange, and the cotton candy. Why would she care about my friend almost breaking her neck on a knife that was sitting on the floor ( I picked up their dirty knife) in between her at the cash and her coworker eating food at the table in between us then whoever the manager or the gentleman that seem to be working that day also said he was gonna go back and get me some cotton candy and never bothered to bring it out. Finally, we just walked away will never be back but hey, the food was good. Yes, I still tipped them. I shouldn’t have, but I did.“

“I was in downtown and wanted to have a really good wonton soup and I saw this restaurant has good reviews so I decided to give it a try. The soup was AMAZING! The restaurant is very clean. You need to order and pay, then your order will come. Mine came after 1 min. The broth is very tasty. You have all the sauces you need in your table. The soup is huge so I couldn’t try any other thing in the menu because I was so full, but I will come back to try more 😋😋😋😋😋 the price was great too 💃🏽 Love it ♥️“
