“FYI ... an all-you-can-eat style asian restaurant. service is provided by a combination of robots and staff. you order on an ipad/tablet and the food usually appears in small portions about 5 minutes later. I've been twice, and both times, the food was uniformly good to very good. I'm not really an all-you-can-eat type of customer, but it is an interesting experience with the robots (watching them navigate around people and each other) and is a good opportunity to try some new things. Servers are prompt and polite. The only negative would be that it's a little overpriced unless you have a big appetite. Will return. Only 3-stars on atmosphere, as it's a little generic.

Kid-friendliness: kids would get a kick out of the robots for sure.

“We received a gift card from a family member for $100 USD as a Christmas Present and were excited about enjoying a meal at this restaurant. The gift card was purchased directly from Joey's, not a 3rd party. We went and everything initially about the restaurant was very enjoyable. The food was very good, the service was attentive and we enjoyed our experience until the cheque arrived. When we we presented the gift card (electronically) our server went to speak with a ⁶manager and then returned to inform us that the $100 USD would be honoured in Canadian dollars. $100 USD is worth $144.50 Canadian dollars according to google when checked today. We paid the bill and tipped the service team 22% and left after effectively having $44.50 taken from us and our family member in what felt like to us, theft by conversion. The manager in question did not come to follow up after our expressing our disappointment JOEY's is already a very expensive restaurant. Further, the gift card information indicates that Joey's has US based restaurants. I'm quite sure that Canadian dollar gift cards are not accepted at par in the US. This ruined for us, what was otherwise a positive experience, through what felt like to us, an act of corporate greed and impersonal profiteering. After this experience we will not be back and sadly, I cannot recommend JOEY's as a place for anyone else to dine at. Any company that sells a gift card directly and then fails to deliver full value is patently dishonest, in my opinion.“

“First time visitor on March 23, to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The restaurant was happily booked up when I tried to make a reservation, so I was only able to secure a table at 5:15pm. I left a little note asking them to keep us in mind if there was a cancellation for a later spot, and they contacted me by email, text, and phone when a later table became available for 6:15pm. Very responsive and friendly staff. Our time at Soif was marvellous. The staff were friendly and extremely professional. Service was relaxed yet very polished. Our server was knowledgeable about the wine and took great care to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. We had a flight of wine to start, followed by a beautiful bottle of white, and a flight of bubbles to end our evening. We shared a half cheese/half charcuterie platter that came with a mountain of crispy and delicious crostini, the latter being refilled without having to ask. Such a small but lovely touch. We also shared roasted Brussels sprouts, frites and aioli, a bison tartare, and grilled radicchio, that were all delicious. They surprised my friend with a little dessert wine and candle to acknowledge her birthday, which was so kind and thoughtful. I have not a single critique. “My family enjoyed a take-out meal last night from Sula Wok. I would describe it as incredibly tasty, evocative flavours, large portion sizes and generally a fantastic gastronomical delight! The chicken samosas were the best I have had anywhere in Ottawa, in short - awesome. The mango-ginger sauce for the samosas was also exceptional. My entrèe was the Tibetan Fried noodles with tofu. The portion was generous and carefully prepared. The spices were delightful, the vegetables were fresh, plentiful and throughout the meal rather than just placed on top. Every bite was delicious. Thank you Sula Wok for the best take-out meal I have enjoyed in years! I highly recommend this restaurant. It definitely deserves a five star rating.“

“I had a lovely experience at Sansotei! The service was quick and friendly. I had the tonkotsu black ramen and the corn croquettes - both were delicious! The ramen broth was rich and full of flavour and the ramen noodles were perfectly al dente. I will definitely be returning the next time I’m in Ottawa.“

Staff are so friendly and you do have the option to dine in or take out as well as place orders for future pick up which is what we did for the next day. Definitely a must try. “We made a reservation since the spot is quite small so seating is limited. We got the Wasabi shrimp tempura, friend chicken Ramen and grilled chicken Ramen. The shrimp tempura was amazing. The mango sauce that came with it was delicious. I wanted abit more of the Wasabi flavour in the shrimp tempura but still tastes good. The broth for the Ramen could've been spicier but they do offer chilli oil. The fried chicken was good, no bones. I was not a fan of the grilled chicken though. Overall decent food and the decor inside is dope too.
