“Was there for dinner. Great service, minimum wait, and food was great. The chef nailed my steak order- well done yet tender. Dave loved his ribs and wings. Excellent service. Very friendly staff A+++ Highly recommend this restaurant for a great night out or entertainment of guests.“

“We arrived for 5:15pm for our dinner reservation. It was our first time here. We were checked in very quickly. Our hostes was lovely and excited to hear we were there for the first time. Our server was Emily (I hope I got her name right). She was great at explaining the menu and giving recommendations. We really liked that she didn't rush us and made it a very comfortable experience. Appetizer we had the mushroom toast, it was a good portion for two people. Drinks, my husband has beer and I tried the Berries in Bloom and Quebec 37, I enjoyed the Quebec 37 more. For mains I had the potato thin crust pizza and my husband had braised beef cheeks. Both were good portions and delicious. For dessert we had chocolate torte, tasted good but was the smallest dessert we probably ever had at a restaurant. We wish the portion was bigger. After dinner we went to the bookstore next door and picked up some games.“

“Travelled from Goderich for a special luncheon to meet with my fellow authors from the "You Are... Enough" anthology. Six of us kept our server busy and she was always delightful and accommodating. The food was superb with very nice atmosphere and staff. Definitely worth the trip!“

“This place is more than a restaurant. It is a magical place for so many people. I have spent so much time here over the years with my family, my friends, my coworkers, and anyone new to town. Thuy and Sid are stellar humans who also happen to make awesome food. I dare you to find a better sammy than their Tempeh Rueben.“

“I came to get the weekday 11-5 specials (meal plus drink). Came in and sat down at a table at around 4:00. Waited 10 minutes, nothing. No menu (in the past when I have come it was almost instant if not within a minute so I found it odd). A group of guys who had sat down after me was being served drinks, but I had yet to even see a server pass by my table (section I was in had other tables who were about halfway through a meal so it was not closed). Waited another five minutes then moved to the section with the guys who had drinks (bar seats). Another five minutes and the server for that section came by and asked if I’d been served. Explained the situation (I’d been waiting at one of the tables with no sign of anyone so moved to where I had seen people get served figuring it might increase my chances of getting seen). She was very apologetic (even though it wasn’t her fault) and the food was good as always (got the gryphon grand slam), but still feel conflicted about the situation. It wasn’t a notably busy time compared to other times when I’ve been and service has always been on point. Every other time I’ve come I’ve never had any issues with service (hence why the review is four stars rather than three) but I guess if you’re coming just be aware that wait times can really extend based on what server is in charge of your section. Would still come again though.“

Our go-to order is Eggs Benedict and BLT with fried egg. Food is always fresh and gives you the warm and content feeling.

Also the hot chocolate with whipped cream is a must try on cold winter mornings ❤️“

“First time going & it's a WOW !! The food was so fresh & great tasting. Prices were great.
It is a family business that started back in 1968. Mandarin probably took away alot of business & then there was COVID.
We are so happy we found this place & tried. When we come back to Guelph for visits , this will be our new go to !!
