“Great breakfast/brunch spot that locals have known about for a long time. The menu is excellent, portions are big. The vintage vibe is so warm and cozy. Be prepared to wait when you arrive as the place is very busy on weekends. Also if no parking is available, you can just park across the street. 10/10 would recommend.“

I had the lettuce wraps.. delicious and our one male had the special..chicken Parm on a bun with fries..and to top it off, a birthday dessert that was yummy. No leftovers. “We recently had our son's wedding party stay at the hotel, planned a dinner meal as well as a brunch around the big day. What an amazing group of staff - from marketing to sales, front desk and housekeeping. Everyone was friendly, willing to help and handled any small issue with a smile. My husband and I would highly recommend the hotel for any big or small gathering. We are even looking at going back to spend a few nights and enjoy the area.“
“Great food and service. We only had one bad experience with a younger waitress one late evening who didn’t seem interested in serving us. She didn’t take down our order properly and when it came in wrong it took 10 minutes to get her attention.Other than that the service had been really good.“

“We were four for lunch. Everything was fine; just not exceptional. Did not care for the Caesar salad - lettuce was crisp but dressing was thin and bland, not rich and creamy. Soup was tasty but watery. Service was great and they allowed us to linger and chat as long as we liked.“
“It’s always a pleasure to pop in to Isabelle’s at The Pearle Hotel and Spa in Burlington to enjoy the tranquility, lake and food. They were on the brunch menu and busy with some larger tables of 6, 4s and 2s. The restaurant was about half full and hostess confirmed lamb sausages and gluten free toast was available. The server came over within 2 minutes and I ordered immediately and she brought my hot water with lemon within a minute. I enjoyed myself observing everything and noticed it was over 20 minutes that I ordered. Just under 25 minutes my server told me it was coming and it appeared - the Florentine Benedict on Gluten Free with potatoes and the 3 lamb sausages that were a bit spicy. I don’t mind spice so no issue. The eggs were perfect medium, flavourful as well as the sausages fully cooked. So why a 4? The time it took without setting my expectation before, during and after ordering. My suggestions would be letting guests coming in know the time that entrees will take, the server reconfirming it and keeping me updated on status. Checking in every 10 min or so as well. I’m not sure if the cooking line manager and servers/floor manager are in sync. Being half busy I would have expected more speed of delivery and engagement for a single table order. Further the runner/server that brought it out didn’t ask if I’d like anything else on delivery. Another server came over 3 minutes after serving and asked how it was and if I needed anything. Also they should check with the guest that they are ok with spicy sausages. My daughter loves lamb sausages but couldn’t eat those if I brought her so I can’t. It’s a bit of a refined pallet place so all good and thanks. I’ll be back. Cheers, Chris >“

“Amazing food, exceptionally caring and attentive staff. The people here go out of there way to make sure customers are happy, comfortable and taken care of. Tonight I ordered through uber eats and accidently canceled the order, UE. Charged a 95% cancelation fee to my CC without telling me.. when I noticed the charge on my card, I spoke to Uber eats who refused to refund the "cancelation fee", and would not place a reorder without me paying again (double charge) for the original order. I ended up driving to the restaurant and told them of the situation and they made sure I was taken care of. They fufulied my order without knowing if UE would give them the money they are owed. I absolutely recommend this place and have ordered from them many times, every single time the food is incredible. If you're looking for a nice night out, or take out food, you can't go wrong with August 8 Burlington!“

“Dined here for the first time last night and it was absolutely the best meal I’ve had in a very long time! Started with caprese salad and risotto balls which were perfect in every way. The fresh pesto with the caprese was a delicious and fresh twist. Risotto balls were stuffed and cooked beautifully and served on a bed of the best tomato sauce, I couldn’t bare to leave any on the plate. My partner had the beef tenderloin which made me envious but my pork schnitzel with mushroom demi, mashed potato’s and veggies couldn’t have been any better if they tried. A small and intimate atmosphere and the waitresses are very friendly and attentive in all the right ways. This is my new favourite spot, a true gem. Will be back many more times to try everything else on the menu!“
