“Hey All, I would just like to share my experience. I had a dinner booked here for my birthday, for 13 people. Booking was easy, and they set up a pre-order, which was called in a day before the booking. Upon arrival, the restaurant was very busy, however, our seats were ready and waiting for us. We set up so food is to be brought out half hour after our arrival, and they were true to their word. The food was served hot, fresh, and tasted amazing, and darn near impossible to finish it all, as the portions are large. Just about everyone had takeout containers at the end. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, washrooms were spotless, and overall atmosphere was very pleasant. Definitely booking more here.“

“Me and my wife went there for dinner to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary, we were there couple of times before, our server Jessica was very personable and friendly, she made great suggestions and even gave us free dessert as we were celebrating our anniv. she never rushed us on deciding what to order, the food came fast and hot, the portions were huge we weren't able to finish. If you are planning to dine there ask for Jessica, she will make your stay very pleasant. 👍👍👍.“

“We absolutely lucked out with this visit to Turtle Jacks. We stopped in for a late lunch, early dinner and had the entire restaurant to our selves. The food was excellent and the service was great. Our server was one of the best we have had in a long time. She was a very pleasure young lady. We would definitely stop in again.“

“We had supper at this location last evening with my husband’s two daughters and one our granddaughters, her boyfriend and our son-in-law. Andrew was our excellent server who was pleasant and friendly despite having worked all day. He was very attentive and saw to all our requests in a timely manner. He organized individual bills accurately and everything came as ordered. He is an excellent member of your staff, and we hope to be served by him at our next visit!!“

“What an amazing afternoon at Turtle Jacks Mapleview. Our server Heather was fun, chatty, smiling every time she came to our table. We knew it would a great experience with her greeting to all of us. She was so very nice and very helpful when we had questions. She took care of us happily and promptly. We loved her. All of us had dishes we haven't tried before and it was all so darn delicious.
Food was hot and well presented. The Chicken was amazing, the Bacon Cheddar Burger is fantastic. The drinks were also very nice. We enjoyed the Happy Hour menu drinks. We were very happy with TJ's and after paying our bill we stayed longer to finish our desserts which were absolutely awesome. Thanks TJ's We will be back soon.“

“My family and I went to Moxies while vacationing in the area, after a long drive from Ottawa we were tired and just wanted to eat dinner. I ordered the beef tenderloin (amazing)husband had ribeye ( also amazing) staff was friendly with great customer service (multiple stops at table to see if everything was fine and if we needed anything) however I did have an issue with an item on my plate and within 10 mins of letting our server know one of the managers ( I’m sorry I forgot her name) was at our table to discuss the issue and assure she would rectify the problem, when she returned with the bill so over compensated us on our bill. Definitely recommend Moxies in Hamilton staff was friendly and quick to rectify the problem as well as multiple apologies for the issue. Sometime s**t happens but it doesn’t mean the food isn’t great. Will defiantly return when in the area“

“The atmosphere and service was great. My wife wanted the 6 ounce steak, but they were out so we had to pay for a nine ounce steak. Was $40 for the steak, and it should be amazing for that price, but it wasn’t. Had better for less than $30. My crab cakes were good.“

“Great location when you're in Burlington for a quick bite to eat. I tried their Garden Veggie Burger which was really good ! ($21 w/ fries) ; quick service & plenty of spots to choose from - loved the booths - over all a positive experience for me. Quick entry into the 403 on my way back to Toronto which was a big plus.“

“Dined here for the first time last night and it was absolutely the best meal I’ve had in a very long time! Started with caprese salad and risotto balls which were perfect in every way. The fresh pesto with the caprese was a delicious and fresh twist. Risotto balls were stuffed and cooked beautifully and served on a bed of the best tomato sauce, I couldn’t bare to leave any on the plate. My partner had the beef tenderloin which made me envious but my pork schnitzel with mushroom demi, mashed potato’s and veggies couldn’t have been any better if they tried. A small and intimate atmosphere and the waitresses are very friendly and attentive in all the right ways. This is my new favourite spot, a true gem. Will be back many more times to try everything else on the menu!“

The staff was amazing special compliments to Jose and Mitch - very friendly when tho it's super busy and you come up with special requests.
Food was delicious (also I would have liked the option of salt and pepper at the table and not just on request. The wine glasses were magically full the whole dinner (4course menu) time.

“Went here for my Birthday dinner with my husband and the kids and we had the greatest time. This was my second time but first for food. The ambiance is so comforting and cozy I felt right at home. The staff are wonderful and very attentive. The food was very tasty and the kids chicken nuggets actually tasted real. Portion sizes were great, not to mention the prices were decent too. Kids got 1/2 off because it was a Sunday. Im glad we have this place so close.“

“First of all, really good portion size for the roti. Some of the other places are skimping on the roti size so it was refreshing to see this place doesn't skimp.

Really good roti: The goat was tender and sweet, the curry was flavourful, the potatoes were soft and comforting and the roti itself was fluffy and light; I could eat it on its own.

Unfortunately my beef patty filling was cold (as in fridge cold). Appears it just was not heated through. But I will give this place a pass on that and will try again for the roti and other dishes.“

The food is cooked perfectly and served promptly, even if you ask for a small adjustment. (I asked for feta & olives to be added to my Southwestern Vegan Hash, transforming it into Greek Hash.)

The staff are attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The bottoms of our coffee cups were magically never seen. The bathrooms impeccably clean in spite of how busy it was at Sunday brunch-time.

And - the part that struck me most - the staff were all smiling, even when not interacting directly with customers. They seem genuinely happy and like they're enjoying their work.

The food and decor isn't posh, but if you want good diner fare and a pleasant environment to enjoy it in, this is a gem.

Asked for sauce to dip and it was mostly oil mixed with a hot sauce. Yellow Currie was ok but very bland in taste. stack quesadilla was luke warm did not come with sour crème or pico de gala. it had been a long time since we had been here and it looks like it will be even longer before we ever go back. I can say that the servers were pleasant and apologetic for what came out of the kitchen.“

“Amazing food, exceptionally caring and attentive staff. The people here go out of there way to make sure customers are happy, comfortable and taken care of. Tonight I ordered through uber eats and accidently canceled the order, UE. Charged a 95% cancelation fee to my CC without telling me.. when I noticed the charge on my card, I spoke to Uber eats who refused to refund the "cancelation fee", and would not place a reorder without me paying again (double charge) for the original order. I ended up driving to the restaurant and told them of the situation and they made sure I was taken care of. They fufulied my order without knowing if UE would give them the money they are owed. I absolutely recommend this place and have ordered from them many times, every single time the food is incredible. If you're looking for a nice night out, or take out food, you can't go wrong with August 8 Burlington!“
