The Hunt Pub Bar • $$
12998 Keele St, King City

“Good food, great service and atmosphere.A bit on the expensive side. The biggest problem is volume... Bands are very loud and the DJ (on Fridays) just loses it completely and seems to raise the volume every ~10m, more and more until we couldn't take it anymore and left, although we enjoyed the music and the atmosphere. We would have stayed and danced for much longer if not for that.“

My friends ask for curry fries, that were sooo good very recommended. Also I saw they have special coffee with Bayliss or Kahlua that I was tempted to try but I was very full,. So I will come back for that. And the service is good our waitress was very nice. She was giving everything that night. Even if they didn't have lime cheesecake pay she said was her favorite.“

“Nestled beside a small river with large windows overlooking, this wonderful little pub just exudes the ambiance of an English pub. Welcoming on the outside and cosy on the inside, the servers made it seem easy despite serving two large groups as well as our little table for two and others. The buzz of chatting people and the wonderful bar complete the feeling. Our food and drink arrived promptly. The fish and chips were very acceptable, not heavily battered or oily and the accompanying fries were fine. The coleslaw was not to my liking but meh, if that's all I can complain about then it's not worth mentioning.“

“As others have said. A hidden gem within the concrete jungle of Vaughan mills shopping area.Been in the area off and on for 7 years and finally decided to give them a try. Boy am I glad I didWithin 5 minutes I was on a first name basis with Melissa behind the bar. Welcoming and down to earth she’s exactly the type of server you hope to get when you go out to eat.You can tell the place is cared for with great passion and just before I left I met the owner ,Sal , who you can see in the absolutely immaculate kitchen. What a great guy and out of the corner of my eye I see him carefully preparing the meals treating every dish like he’s serving royalty.I’ve been to all star wings on Rutherford more times than I can count and while it’s fine, it pales in comparison to the food, atmosphere and service you will find at The Mills. Highly recommend“

“Honestly Liz and Nick saved the experience. My Dad wanted to go here for his birthday on Sunday march 10th. My boyfriend and i had had a long weekend of working and as it was just up the street we thought it was a good idea.Sunday night was horrible! We were told it was a little busy and there was gonna be a 10min wait. Which we said was fine as we were gonna be chitchatting. But chatting was very difficult. We basically had to scream at each other to hear ourselves over the band that was playing. We waited 30min for service from I believe Tasra. I was about to suggest leaving as it was unbearably loud and very cold. Our server finally appeared after liz asked if we’d been helped. Tasra had no customer service. There were other tables chasing her down for their change or to get the bill. Liz had to be watching her like a hawk. Nick was serving other tables and was being an all star while our server was playing hide and seek with her tables. She had no sense of priorities. She got my dad his water while another table was telling her they wanted their change and were leaving. I assume they had been waiting for their change for quite some time.My dad had ordered the blackened salmon, i ordered the steak frites and my boyfriend ordered the Guinness poutine. The fish that came wasnt very black so my dad was just asking some questions if he got what he ordered cuz hes had blackened fish before. Liz politely explained why it wasnt very black and offered to take it back and cook it more. My dad turned down her offer saying he was just curious because it wasnt what he was picturing in his head but he felt like fish. Liz offered to comp it if it didnt meet his expectations.Luckily my dad really enjoyed his dinner. My boyfriend and I not so much. My boyfriend felt the gravy was way too salty, which was the same for my peppercorn sauce. There wasnt much flavour to it. And i had ordered a medium rare steak that came out close to well done. My steak was very tough but the fries were great. My dad and I have father daughter dinners on Wednesday nights so we thought we would go back and try again with the 30% off appetizers. We were greeted by Nick. When asked where we wanted to sit we wanted to express anywhere but Tasras section.Nick was kind enough to take care of us and the food was amazing! Nick has amazing customer service and had really lovely conversations with us. My dad got the battered mushrooms and the fish tacos and i had the tater kegs. Everything was absolutely delicious! Liz even came to say hi.I think some of your staff is amazing but the others either need more training or to be replaced. Because if there are other servers like Tasra or worse then they are toxic to the environment and will be deterring future customers from your establishment. If it wasnt for Liz and Nick my dad and I wouldnt be back. So please make the changes and adjustments needed accordingly. This is a cute little pub with good food. Cant wait to try the house made chicken souvlaki Liz was raving about.I was debating on a 3 star review for how bad Tasra was. But Nick and Liz bumped it up. Id honestly only give the place a one star review if it was only Tasra and the quality of the food sunday. For Nick and Liz i would give 5 stars. So the total review looses a star for how awful Sunday night was.“

Prices are almost like fast food places but quality is much much better. Portion was bigger than I thought it would be considering the price. Will definitely order again and probably stop by for a drink and a snack.“

I'm glad I chose the sandwich. I've eaten here many times and every meal has been great. If you like onion rings, you have to try them here! The service is amazing. I have had many different servers. “I really hope that the crowd from the Firkin that closed down in Old Richmond Hill doesn't infiltrate these premises. Been going here for years. I watched Bautista's bat flip here so Archie's has a special place in my heart. The prices are a little steep for food and drinks so get to know the daily/game specials. The space is large which is nice with lots of tables. Great atmosphere for major sports games. A major con is that they use Frenchs ketchup. Not Heinz. Let's all be honest Canada: our ketchup sucks in comparison.“
