“So we're flying out of Hamilton, which we've never done before, and we get to the airport later than is recommended. We also haven't had breakfast yet, because it's crazy early in the morning, and most places aren't even open yet. "No problem," think I. "There is a branch of Canada's National Doughnut and Coffee Chain™ once we get through security. We'll go through, and then get some breakfast sandwiches." Error. There is a location past security, but it's one of those "lite" locations that serve considerably less than the full menu. No breakfast sandwiches. Only doughnuts. Not a good strategy when you're trying to limit your carbs. So what do we do now? We look around, and see that J&A's Bar (which I had noticed in the amenities list on the airport's web site and them promptly ignored because, even if I were a drinker, who wants a beer or whatever at 5:30 in the morning. (Apparently nobody, because they didn't seem to be doing any business on that score.) However, they were doing a roaring business in things like breakfast sandwiches (or other pre-wrapped goodies). So, we got hot breakfasts after all. I went for an omelette, and my sweetie got a breakfast sandwich. I was very impressed. The food was better than we would have been likely to get from the chain, even if they did have a full-service location after security. Best of all, we didn't have to pay the stratospheric prices that all the concessions charge at Pearson. I really must fly through Hamilton more often.“

“This place is great. We took our 115lb Bernedoodle there this past Sunday. There were a couple of dogs inside already who came to greet Declan. Once Declan was comfortable, we took him off leash to explore. The other pet owners paid close attention to their pets to make sure they behaved. It was a great experience for our pup. When we first got in, the owner came and greeted us and gave us the rundown of the rules. The rules are no more than common sense for responsible pet owners - clean up after your dog, here are the supplies to help you clean up after your dog, keep an eye on your dog ... the normal stuff, nothing outrageous. The staff is very friendly and welcoming! They have special events each month, we missed the Easter photos by one day, but then again Declan wouldn't have fit in any of the costumes? They have specialty items for your dog too! We got the pumpkin bagel for Declan. It comes with cheese. Make sure to tell your server if your dog has any sensitivity. Declan loved his bagel. They also carry Yupp Muttballs! We'll be going back for sure. Declan slept well that night!Btw. Sorry, no pictures. I was pretty focused on D and also petting all the other dogs.“

“My fiancee and I just had your food for the first time. What the hell ...... IT WAS DELICIOUS! We rarely ever order Italian food bc it's just never the same as my nonna's or my father's cooking, but this was absolutely spot on. Fantastic flavors, quality ingredients, and just very authentic. We ordered the Pasta a la Norma (eggplant cooked to perfection, fresh basil, quality ricotta, and finally a sauce with the right amount of garlic i.e. a lot), and pepperoni pizza (that dough doe). What's the most ridiculous is that we've lived a 5 minute walk away for two years now and it never occured for us to get food here. That was stupid, and we will definitely be back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.“
“Took my 4 year old here for a P.A. day from school and he loved it. he has been asking to go back ever since. we played some great games, got some DND dice at a sweet price and a few miniatures to paint together at home. He enjoyed the milk and oreos and I the cold brews. Awesome place filled with awesome people, awesome games, awesome goodies, and sweet deals. Overall AWESOME! Thank you guys for doing what you do for the gaming community.“

“We discovered The Hearty Hooligan after our daughter was diagnosed with an dairy allergy. We now eat here once a week! The food is always consistent regardless of the day of the week or how busy they are. Our favourites are the pickle fries and pizza rolls, we’ve also enjoyed the Mac and Cheese Bake, Moe’s fries, Mac and Cheese burrito, Crunch wraps.. all delicious! We usually add on a dessert to our order which is almost always a punkaroo cookie! The cupcakes and cookies are always good too. The atmosphere is fun and inviting and the staff is always friendly and welcomes you like they’ve known you for years.“

“I’ve come here a couple of times to study and I’ve found the atmosphere very relaxing. It also helps to see other people working! The food and beverages are good and I especially appreciate the “stay and study”( I think that’s what it’s called!) option which gives you two drip coffees and toast for $7. The staff if generally friendly and helpful. The music is great, the book shelf adds to the ambiance and on sunny days, the entire place is beautifully lit up! The only thing I’d want to caution against is that the seating is limited and usually the place seems fairly packed (which also says a lot about how popular it is!).“

“Everything was delicious. The breakfast sandwich, breakfast tosti, I believe it was called, soo yummy! I had latte and a chai latte, both were perfect in every way. I also grabbed 3 cookies to go which were perfectly soft and chewy. Lastly, I really want to make mention of how wonderful the service was. I interacted with 3 different staff and each of them was pleasant, helpful and just good energy!“

“Have been to the location in Dundas and booked the truck for a party. Nothing but good things to say about both. Jen is fantastic, and warm. The kids loved the ice cream truck and I have enjoyed a few breakfasts and sweets from the restaurant. Worth the visit, and if you live in the west end, definitely look in to booking the truck.“

“We went with the kids to play some board games and we really enjoyed ourselves. There are so many games to choose from! We decided on games that we could all play since our youngest is 5. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our kids enjoyed the freshly popped popcorn. Me and mom enjoyed our adult beverages as well! It was a great night out as a family.“

“Always clean, friendly, welcoming staff! Great food, portion sizes, and prices. It has been our favourite breakfast place for the last several years. They also have an amazing variety of coffee. We have never had a complaint with staff, food or cleanliness. 5 STARS all around! The only downside I would say is the bathroom is in the basement, down steep stairs, and a bit dark and cold down there. Not wheelchair compatible to use. I would still give them 5 STARS, though!Kid-friendliness: There is lot's of artwork on the walls to look at. It tends to be a louder atmosphere if the kids get a little too noisy. Pleasant and friendly staff to make kids feel welcomed too.“
“A small organic and ecological grocery offering fruits, vegetables and canned foods, baked goods, coffee, wine and even a small variety of non-alcoholic wine. Local products in a rustic and charming atmosphere and very friendly staff with a smile ? Ideal place for groceries, buy a gift or just to have a coffee. Located on the charming Ottawa street.“

“At first, the shop seems expensive but it actually has high cost performance if you want to learn about coffee and try a variety (4 coffees from a specialty roaster tasting set). We like coffee and make it at home everyday, but we are not close to the level of the staff here. Thanks @camdenhine for the presentation. It was fun and we learned a lot.“

“Unfortunately never got to sit in and eat any of their food despite repeat attempts. It seems to be the only place in Hamilton that does not understand the basic concept of holding tables/reservations/taking a name down to ring them back.I was told that if I need a table either I wait 20 mins right there, or go away for 10 mins and come back and then go away again if there’s no table. But nobody could guarantee me that since I came first could come back in 20 for said table and probably do something productive in the meantime. Get with the times folks.Yes this is a 5 star review because I can’t rate the food without eating it and I’m not an a$$h0le.“

The staff is friendly, accommodating, and always goes the extra mile to ensure my order is exactly as requested. I highly recommend Two Cougar Cafe to anyone looking for a reliable place to enjoy great food and excellent service. They have definitely earned my loyalty!“
“I have been to House of Java twice now. I had excellent service and wonderful coffee both times. Today, Laurie made me an amazing cappuccino and the chocolate chip cookie was decadent! I’ll be here more often and will tell all my St Joes friends to stop in.They also have a good selection of local goods to support small businesses in our community.“

“Cute little cafe in the heart of Hamilton where locals spend cozy times trying their homemade sandwiches. I tried the cappuccino and chicken sandwich. They also have almond milk if you are lactose sensitive. The staff was working efficiently during the solar eclipse crowd rush and I must say they were doing it with a smile on their face. The women behind the coffee bar is a beast in serving coffee in record amount of time I. E. Within a minute or two. Great place for local artists to showcase their art as you will find various artwork with artist details hanging on their wall. I would like to visit on a calm day to take all of these in.“

“Last week my friend and I took a walk to the Hamilton Airport and discovered this lovely new addition. We were greeted by the friendly owner who despite our lack of sufficient funds provided us with two steaming cups of fresh decaf coffee. We also tried a date square which was served hot and was delicious, lots of natural sugar in the dates and not overly sweet like some of the date squares I’ve had at other places. The coffee was tasty and brewed just for us,what a treat...I highly recommend that those who visit the airport drop in and have a taste...support local business!“

“It's a nice cafe with good ambience. What kills the vibe for me is that they give you everything in takeout containers. If you are there for takeout, it's cool. Coffee and toasts are really good. If you are going for nice cafe time, be prepared to have food in a box.Vegetarian options: Chickpea toast is really good.“
“Delighted to have visited this place for lunch. Enjoyed apple cider and lobster salad on a bun. Sorry not exactly sure what it's called but definitely main ingredient was lobster and first time ordering this sandwich. That's what happens when you're hungry and the lunch was really good that you'd forget it's name. ? Place was very busy at lunch. Staff were highly attentive with each customers orders in a timely fashion. While dined in I saw their catering menu and seems like well worth a try especially that holidays is fast approaching. Definitely one of my go to places for lunch when within the area.“

“Best airport food shop/bar I have been too. Cappuccinos, fresh sandwiches, other healthier snack options, and great service. And local craft brews on tap too!The other option is Timmy's which is terrible. It is too bad more airports don't have this type of shop. The prices were reasonable for an airport. $5 for a large cappuccino is not bad in comparison to Pearson airport. They also have a great little supplement drink called "sick day". It is delicious and it has echinacea and other goodness in it.“
