“We were from out of town and decided to stop here for a last stop coffee break before driving back down to NY. We wanted to use all of our change before heading back into the US and the girl at the register was super nice in counting the rest of the cash towards our total. We ended up getting 2 lattes (iced and hot), a Spiced World latte and a Lavender blue Matcha latte all with oat milk. All of the drinks were delicious! Good espresso taste and not too sweet and had light ice. 10/10 would recommend!“

For some reason it tastes better when it's eaten at Synonym rather than to go. But worry not because there's plenty of seating and the decor (especially of the barista counter) is perfection. “My favourite Cafe in town! Been going here for over 10 years, the treats are delicious and baked in house and the coffee is great. Personally I find their espresso to be the best I've had, always a perfect pull. Staff is the cherry on top, always kind, informative and serving with a smile. Very unique atmosphere.

“Wow!!! A true hidden gem. Please don't blink...while on King William nearing James Street N. You don't want to miss Mezza. I literally felt like I was in another country. Right now I don't travel...for a few reasons including despising the airport experience. So I feel privileged to be able to step into another world...steps from home :)“

“I stopped by this location today on the way to work to grab some coffee. It is located in the path on king street.

From the first moment I entered, the lady at the cash welcomed me so warm with a beautiful smile. The store vibe was so cool and positive. It smelled like fresh coffee and donut.

I grabbed a large coffee and I can say it was damn fresh and smelling super nice. You can add your own creamer which is what I really liked about this place.

The whole place was super clean and bright. The lady at the cash was, again, super warm and fast to help. The person who gave me my order as well was super nice with a nice smile.

They have this fresh water and lemon for free so you can start your day fresh.

Price wise, I prefer coming here to other franchise stores, like tims or starbucks. I liked the service and friendliness of staff pretty much alot and the whole store vibe attracted me to come back again.

As it is located in the path, so its hard to find parking if you are driving.

We were greeted by the friendly owner who despite our lack of sufficient funds provided us with two steaming cups of fresh decaf coffee.We also tried a date square which was served hot and was delicious,lots of natural sugar in the dates and not overly sweet like some of the date squares I’ve had at other places. “We discovered The Hearty Hooligan after our daughter was diagnosed with an dairy allergy. We now eat here once a week! The food is always consistent regardless of the day of the week or how busy they are. Our favourites are the pickle fries and pizza rolls, we’ve also enjoyed the Mac and Cheese Bake, Moe’s fries, Mac and Cheese burrito, Crunch wraps.. all delicious! We usually add on a dessert to our order which is almost always a punkaroo cookie! The cupcakes and cookies are always good too.
