I enjoy the Rare Beef Pho, and often get the shrimp or pork rice rolls.
One advantage is this place is close to the office. So I can drop in and the food is always quick.
All the food is delicious!
Staff are always attentive, even in a Bass Pro Shop hat.

“I've eaten here before and it's always been great. Yesterday, we had the salmon and tuna sashimi the calamari and the seared beef salad. It was all fantastic, but the seared beef salad was absolutely incredible. Our service was also fantastic. Thank you so much!!“

“I think this place is Chinese Vietnam fusion. For pho, there are other better restaurants, but We go there for like vermicelli, and soft beef rice noodle (牛腩粉）and other dishes. I highly recommend try the soft beef rice noodle 🥺. It is sooo good.“

Luckily the fish clear sauce saved it as the noodles don’t have any flavour to it so you have to dip them in the sauce to get flavour. I would go back but I’d want to try a different dish.“

“soooooo guuuuuuuuuuuuuud!!!I had originally planned to take my friend from Montreal to a pho place I loooove (Pho Tuan) but it was closed for holidays...we met this very cute vietnamese girl living in the area and asked her where to go: she said go to Pho THu Do!!!may the gods bless her soul. We had incredible pho soup and deep fried rolls. I felt love in the 8 hrs simmered broth and it proved me the poetic lines of a Haiku book I read before: The Art of Peace, yes that was it!!!!!!“

“I visited with my sister last week and ordered the rare beef pho and enjoyed it very much. The service was prompt and attentive - the food also came out very quickly. The atmosphere was lovely, clean tables and chairs, and tasteful decoration.

The pho itself was very nice. However, the broth (although clearly homemade with lovely clean flavours and a good amount of fat) to my palate lacked some of the spices which enhance those classic pho flavours. To me it tasted like a perfect chicken noodle soup broth. The hoisin sauce and siracha helped bring it back to the pho world.

We did not get bean sprouts or thai basil to put on top, however we also visited late at night close to closing time.“

“After my second time at Saigon Boy, I decided it was time to post a review. It’s a quiet restaurant with amazing food, the best Vietnamese I’ve had in Ottawa so far. Really fast and friendly service. The rice dishes have a great amount of meat. The large pho bowls are enormous and super tasty. The fried spring rolls are crispy and flavorful.“

“If I could give a 100/10 for service I would! The owner once we walked in said take out only after 9pm... he saw how frozen we were coming in from -27°, said no problem you sit! Ordered two medium well done x2 beef pho and stirfry lemongrass beef vermicelli. Asked to make the pho spicy. THE FLAVORS WERE INCREDIBLE! Everything came out hot and quick! As for the food, we ordered the General Tso’s chicken and the bean sauce beef dish. Both were delicious — the chicken had a perfect balance of sweet and savory, while the beef had a nice kick without being overwhelming. The portions were generous, and everything was served hot and fresh.“
