“My husband and I visited Niagara on the Lake for the first time yesterday. We stopped into Fritters on the Lake and were absolutely so impressed. Not only was the lunch recommendation on point; the fritters were absolutely amazing. However, the best thing ever was the service! Zoran was the kindest person ever and when I spoke to my family by phone later in the day-he was the first one I told them about. I’m not sure when I’ll make it back but Fritters on the Lake will be my first stop and everyone that is headed that way will have my highest recommendation. “This is a short walk down Queen Street in NOTL and a lovely, more rustic bakery. As soon as you walk near the door ... you're lured-in by those warm, bread-smells ... that will not be denied! I ordered the fresh croissant and also sausage rolls, and showed an immense amount of self-control after that (insert regret here re: the butter tarts). I also did some Christmas shopping - behind the register is a series of books written by local author Tom Taylor (all signed) about the many historical stories of Brock. The woman that served me was friendly and helpful. The baking: devine. And lots of other nicnak things you'd find in an old-school bakery. No seating here though.“
