“Stopped by The Halal Stop for lunch after visiting the Aga Khan Museum and had a great experience. The staff at the counter was polite and patient, and the place was clean, spacious, and quiet — perfect for catching up with a friend.

We ordered the Philly beef cheesesteak burger, chicken and rice, and a beef burger combo with fries. The food was delicious, portions were generous, and the value for money was excellent. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. “Meet Me at The Halal Stop” is right — we’ll definitely be back!“

“Tried Simbas and overall had a good experience. For $21, I got two sandwiches (one Nashville hot chicken, one beef patty with jalapeño pickle), fries, their signature sauce, and a drink, which is a solid combo.

The fries were perfect—very similar to Costco-style fries, which is what you’d expect from a shawarma-style spot, and they didn’t disappoint. The Nashville chicken tender was juicy, well-seasoned, and paired really nicely with the coleslaw. The beef patty sandwich was also satisfying.

The place is located in a food court–style plaza, so seating feels more like a canteen. There’s plenty of free parking, which is a big plus. However, the washroom could use improvement—only one sink was working during my visit. We waited 15 minutes for the food which is pretty good pace.

Food-wise, I really enjoyed it, but pricing feels a bit high. Personally, this meal would make more sense around $15 rather than $21.

“Hands down the BEST Burger in the city. Whenever I get the urge for a berg its hard to top my own,, A big pain in the arse. BUT no more!! Because Yonge Burger is is the best of the best Burg's in Toronto! French fries, onion rings are delicious too. Also, you can't beat the price. Also Quality & Service is outstanding.“

“I’m up visiting my parents from the USA and I decided to try the Chinese Halal restaurant today for lunch. The servers are very nice and cordial. Very attentive. They immediately put a nice cold pitcher of water on my table. I ordered and my food was brought out hot and fresh. The beef fried rice was flavorful and delicious. So is the sweet-and-sour chicken with pineapple. Absolutely delicious. Crispy on the outside tender on the inside. Just what I was looking for. I decided to try the tiramisu for dessert and it was very tasty. I will definitely be going back next time I’m in Canada.“

“Best jerk chicken I’ve ever had! Everything is homemade from the hot sauce to the spices. The owner, Luca, marinates and cooks the chicken himself right outside, and you can truly taste the passion he puts into every plate. He was welcoming and friendly, and the food was just incredible. “I accompanied a friend who requires a wheelchair, and the museum and restaurant were fully accessible. All the doors are automatic, and the staff were so kind as to accompany us via a shortcut to the to the parking lot. The galleries were not at all crowded on a Tuesday afternoon, and the restaurant was moderately busy with excellent, attentive service.“

“Excellent Chinese restaurant, great atmosphere and delicious food, especially Lanzhou beef noodles. My girlfriend and I often lunch her, and because of the pandemic, we are now ordering delivery. Very fast, tasty and not expensive. ps. You should definitely try fried noodles, chunks of lamb, and barbecue skewers.“

“I come here often with my sister and this is one of the best underrated place i have ever been to, not just the food but the atmosphere during late night we just walk to the store and get a shawarma wrap and the staff is very sweet and welcoming. Love it

“Love this place. I come by at least once or twice for lunch during the week. I really enjoy the poutine and think the portion size is perfect. Not sure if there's different staff on the weekend, but shoutout to the two girls working there during the week - they're both so friendly and have excellent customer service skills“
