“Came in today for lunch with my dad for the fish and chips for the buy one get one free special(today only because it’s national fish day) which is such an awesome deal, the restaurant was packed because it was lunch hour but we got a table ☺️ service was excellent and the staff were very nice and really polite! The waitress wiped the table off for us when we sat down which was very nice! The fish was so tasty and you get a big piece which is a bonus, the fries were delicious but let me tell you the gravy mmm so amazing , very tasty and also it was full of flavour and you got a huge dish of it! I also got a Diet Coke with a glass with ice and a straw and it was so refreshing especially when it’s so hot out today! This was a 10/10 for me 👍🏼 definitely will be back because it was amazing and I really enjoyed my meal ☺️❤️“

“We have been coming to this location pretty well since it opened. It is nicely situated on the South West corner of Simcoe and Beatrice streets. This gives access from both Simcoe and Beatrice.
There is lots of comfortable seating always a very friendly bunch of customers. Also to add, the restaurant is licensed.
The staff, both serving and preparing are excellent. Out of the many servers we have dealt with (feeling bad about picking a favorite) is Amanda. As soon as she sees us she knows exactly what we will order ..... haddock and chips plus two - or three, excellent mushy peas. Not all H House locations serve them.“

“…i used to work for an industrious hardworking fellow named Angelo @ the blue sea on Brock st in Whitby.. so I can be a little fussy on my halibut ?‍♀️ Angelo used to hand cut his fillets & his batter was the very lightest I have ever had…I was REALLY happy about my fish at the Halibut House !! The batter was slightly heavier but I still really liked it !! The halibut was so fresh moist and the texture as it should be..!!The slaw is really quite spot on !!I want to return to try other things ?I loved the server - I read the reviews - haha - what did you do ?‍♀️My server was perfect - but then again - I always treat my servers with respect ?Rock on Halibut House..!! ??

“The fish & chips here are amazing! If you are looking for GF fish & chips you definitely need to stop here. We stopped in on our way home from Hamilton because my boys favourite food is fish. We found this place because it has GF fish and when we were all done my oldest son went back in so he could tell them they were the best fish & chips he had ever eaten in his life.“

“This is the ONLY place my son eats from... He's the pickiest kid out there, but he'll eat the chicken souvlaki from here for breakfast, lunch and dinner some days. We order from here a minimum once a week, he's tried other places and he spits it out right away... When he sees the Family Greek container, he goes running to his high chair!
