“We ordered the light and fluffy battered halibut with a side of thick cut fries with a side of coleslaw and gravy. The gravy was a great add-on to the fries we had! The coleslaw was fine (does anyone realllllly like coleslaw? Haha)It was $41 for two boxes of fish and chips (1 piece of halibut each) + the gravy + the coleslaw. A little pricey, but I would go again :)“
“The positives are:- Delicious fish and chips (halibut and cod) ordered- Coleslaw was great, appreciated the non-mayonaise dressing- Restaurant is extremely clean and great for dining in as there is lots of spaceThe only negative is that we felt rushed, even though the restaurant was empty and they were processing lots of take out orders. We were not asked if we wanted coffee/tea and/or dessert, just the bill brought after our meal.A bit expensive for fish n chips“
“Went to Jasper's today and the owner voluntarily disclosed that the oil they use is beef oil, rendering the food impermissible for those on Halal diets. We tried this place a couple years ago (not knowing about the oil) and the food was absolutely scrumptious. Our go-to used to be the fried Haddock and fried Halibut.I'm writing this review today because of their honesty. Not many business owners have this quality in today's day and age.“
“Five Stars! Fresh, Delicious, and Friendly at Halibut House!I had a fantastic experience at Halibut House Fish & Chips recently, and I couldn't wait to share it!The Vibe: The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere. It wasn't fancy, but it felt comfortable and casual, perfect for a relaxing meal. The Service: The staff were the real stars of the show! They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful. They made sure I had everything I needed and were genuinely happy to answer my questions. The Food: Now, onto the most important part – the food! It was absolutely delicious! I tried the shrimp and the fish & chips, and both were fresh and cooked to perfection. The shrimp were plump and juicy, and the fish was flaky and flavorful. The chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, just the way I like them. I also enjoyed the dipping sauce – it was creamy and complemented the seafood perfectly. The salad was a delightful surprise – it was fresh, colorful, and packed with a variety of veggies. The portion sizes were generous, and I left feeling satisfied but not overly stuffed. One Minor Hiccup: The only downside was a slight fishy smell coming from the crab dishes being prepared. It wasn't overwhelming, but it was noticeable.Overall: Despite the minor fishy aroma, my experience at Halibut House was fantastic! The delicious food, friendly service, and inviting atmosphere make it a place I'll definitely be returning to. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐P.S. If you're looking for fresh, tasty seafood and a friendly dining experience, look no further than Halibut House! You won't be disappointed!P.P.S. If you're sensitive to seafood smells, you might want to request a table away from the crab preparation area.Parking: at site free“

“Dob bole comes to this place frequently. Dob bole is always happy with the quality of the food. It has gotten a little pricey with inflation but still worth it. Crystal the server is an absolute delight. She is kind and very attentive. Overall a great “
“I was out for a drive, looking for somewhere to have lunch, when I came across Halibut King Fish & Chips in Whitby, so I decided to stop in. They have a lot on their menu, including burgers, souvlaki, breakfast, and more but a sign out in the parking lot caught my attention: Haddock & Chips $10.99. That's what I had! I got a large piece of fish, nicely battered, a whole bunch of fries, and house-made tartar sauce. It looked really good, although I would have preferred my fries to be cooked just a wee bit longer. Some coleslaw on the side would also have been nice but it was already a good deal at this price. The fish was perfectly cooked, and flaky. With good food and good service, I recommend this place!“
“This is a small, plain restaurant. Went for breakfast. I was thrilled because they had gluten free bread. Had eggs, homefries and toast with a side of grilled tomatoes. All done exactly the way I wanted. Coffee was only $1.95!Service by AJ was as good as any fine dining restaurant.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bread“
“This is a wonderful little place and it also doubles as a cafe. come check out his menu. he has things that are not on the menu as well. If William is there ask him what authentic Chinese food he has available, you won't be disappointed!“
