“Great little bistro. I have been there twice and service has been great both times. They take reservations which is amazing. The 1st time I had beautiful seasoned hash potatoes but 2nd time I think they forgot the seasoning. Everything else was great though. I would definitely go back.“

“Went in to treat myself. Sat as a single at the bar and was instantly greeted by Rebecca, I started with a Stella on tap while I looked at the menu. Starter was the escargot, while I waited I was served fresh warm bread. Olive oil and balsamic vinegar at my side. Escargot was excellent. For my main I decided on the Veal Scaloppini with spaghettini and olive oil. Pasta and veal was almost perfection! Accompanied by a glass of Chianti I was in the element of the the room which bustled with professional servers and Owners at the ready to serve the very busy group of patrons. I topped off the evening with the chocolate tartuffo and a cappuccino. Special thanks to both Jessica and Rebecca for making my evening not only fulfilling but also graced with a certain level of professionalism and attention. I’ve treated myself a few times, Joel is also very professional, and for a restaurant in downtown Oshawa that has never disappointed I will continue to enjoy such hospitality. I highly recommend if ever in the area, treat yourself to excellent service, food and atmosphere.

“I was in there 2 nights ago on Wednesday December 3rd. There was a lovely young lady cashier who helped me choose a smoothie for my mom who is in the hospital with cancer. The older gentleman working with her at the time came to assist to customize the smoothie and make sure it would taste good for my mom.

Both of them were extremely patient, kind and understanding and took their time to make sure I got the product I wanted.

“Food is very good, timing of meals with a larger party was not ideal, everyone got served at different times, food and beverages.Iit was good food, the broths were very tasty and I would say very decent portions of wontons and meats for the dishes, noodles and stir-fry. Server was very polite, but very quiet, at certain times was difficult to hear over background noises. Was very clean, but decor was out of place, and Atmosphere was just off, not bad at all, but not fitting.“

“Ordered takeout of Vegetable Biryani, Chicken Vindaloo, Vegetable Samosas and Aloo Gobi. Food was delicious, prices great, serving sizes reasonable, and service amazing. Heat level was perfect - nice and spicy (for the biryani and samosas).“

“Placed a lunch order. Took several minutes for someone to answer the phone. It was New Years Eve afternoon, so to be expected. Then we got put on hold for several minutes while we heard someone yelling. Finally placed the order and someone drove me to pick the order. Got there and a young lady at the counter was having a conversation with another customer. After a few minutes when they started talking about if the young lady was going to be working tonight by herself I interrupted and asked for the order. At this point The young lady hadn't even acknowledged me. The young lady gave a quick look and then started talking to the other customer again. I raised my voice and someone from the back came out. She looked but didn't find it. My driver came in to find out what was taking so long. Finally the young lady asked me again when it was ordered. I told her and she looked at the table beside her where it was sitting ALONE. The food as usual was good but cold. It actually took longer the get the cooked order once I was in the restersaunt than it took to get there. Considering no customers were being served the whole time I was there I found the service totally ridiculous. The kitchen area very busy with many people. The food was produced fast and tasty but the experience and being ignored left a bad taste in my mouth. When I entered an older lady was yelling towards the young lady before going back into the kitchen. I think I may know why! This is not the usual service we get at the Hong Kong House.“
