“I’ve been coming here at least 1-2 times a week, and I can easily say they have the best, most fresh, and most reasonably-priced sushi in Ottawa! The owners are very nice and welcoming, they always greet every customer with a smile. ?I got the platters for a birthday party, which were a hit with the guests.I’ve never seen salmon and tuna this fresh in Ottawa. I usually go for the specialty rolls or tacos. I love the variety of the menu and how filled the tacos are.Highly recommend using their Google form to order since it’s quick, easy to use, and has all the menu items on there.“

“Bridgehead on Wellington West is a reasonably large location with ample people watching opportunities (if that is your thing).The staff here are attentive and welcoming which lends to a good experience when you visit.With plenty of seating, you can almost always be sure to find a spot to sit and enjoy your coffee/tea/whatever.The age old question at this location is: which bathroom key is the most popular? The spoon, or the scoop? (there is a free undergrad sociology paper for someone)“

“Donuts are tasty although $5+ is pretty steep considering they’re pretty simple donuts. (I guess that’s the going rate with inflation and cost of ingredients. They’re good donuts just not that mind blowing). I just wish they had better to go packaging. I got the crème brûlée donut and it stuck to the bag. Before that I got The Christopher and the icing got all stuck to the plastic container. Maybe little individual boxes would be better.“

“I’ve been dreaming about visiting Luxe Blooms Flower Cafe since they opened, I finally drove over four hours to this little gem. It has such a unique concept, and I absolutely love the heart behind it. The drinks were fantastic — delicious, just as I’d imagined. The service was warm and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable.

That said, there’s room for improvement in the upkeep of the space. While I love the idea and the vibe of the place, the cafe itself is starting to show some wear and tear. The pink floor could use a redo, as there’s some paint splatter on the laminate, and the pink chairs are worn. It’s clear a lot of love has been put into this place, but it’s starting to look a little tired. I’d love to see some attention given to refreshing the space so that it can match the beauty and charm of the drinks and the concept behind it.

This may seem like an odd thing to say, but it was really great that they made sure they rented an accessible portable washroom for their large market event. As I was sporting crutches (I recently broke my ankle), it was a total life saver that I didn’t need to take the stairs! Not sure if the port-a-potty is an “always” thing, but just the fact that they had it for their street market when so many folks wouldn’t even think of it made me grateful. Thank you for being the loveliest hosts! I’m not a coffee or tea drinker, but I’ll certainly tell all my friends about how kind the staff were!“

It would be super nice if the gluten free cookies were separate from the rest of them (like on a plate or something) and served with separate utensils so celiacs can eat them! “Not many places im a regular at, this place is amazing - I come here every week for a breakfast sandwich and a mollases spice latte. Price is incredibly fair ! Sandwich is perfection! and service is always quick! Price difference between a small latte and large is so close i always get the bigger one, they make their own syrups & they are so good. The girls who work here are always super friendly and smile when I come in! I also love that they have water that isself-serve, I have a routine - order, drink a big glass of water - orders ready. Its the best. Super convenient location! Same positive experience at their bank street location ♡ keep it up!“

“In life, we walk through many doors. But if there’s one door all of us should walk through, it is the red door of Red Door Provisions. Excellent espresso, delicious and unique lattes, and a fantastic selection of food and alcohol provisions. But the menu item that reigns above all is the Dad Bod sandwich. Someday, I will paint all the doors to my home red, in the hopes that I too could capture the magic of the Dad Bod sandwich and Red Door coffee myself.“

“I have been going to this Bridgehead since my first child was an infant - and back then it was my "big thing" for the day and as a new mom it meant I met lovely people and even met other moms there. More than 12 years later - I walked in yesterday and was reminded of what a great location this is. The staff are always friendly and the lattes are always delicious. “A secret coffee shop under a church. Beautiful spot. I was there on a Saturday afternoon and it was very quiet. Nice place to hide, study, read. I loved the furniture and the big open space.

While we were there, a wedding was taking place in the church overhead. So we heard organ music and people walking down the aisle.

They sell a few pastries. We didn't have lunch while there, and I'd be curious to go back and try it. They also sell roseries and other catholic doodads.“

“Recommended by our B&B Australis House, we had an excellent meal here with our two grandsons. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. The selection is large enough that children and adults can select great meals. Our server was amazing with our grandsons aged 9 and 11, suggesting options that they truly enjoyed.“

“While the cupcakes were good, I picked up a half dozen of mini-cupcakes to go as they were for a toddler and the box given was large and didn't have any partitions or way to keep the mini-cupcakes from rolling around. When they were brought directly from the shop to my destination, the cupcakes had all kind of fallen over and the icings melded together. They tasted good, but the presentation was lacking - not that a toddler would care - but would recommend looking into at least smaller boxes with some kind of partition or selling the mini-cupcakes as a pre-made set to go so that presentation can be preserved.“

He remembers people by name, is super polite, and goes out of his way if you have a special request. They don't have a super big food selection but you can go to a Starbucks if you want that - this is where you come for that personal touch :)“

“Great coffee, good selection of snacks (kinda expensive), lots of seating (didn’t like the metal stools with no back rest so we grabbed club chairs), very clean and chill.

Parking: I can see the parking lot being full or overflowing at peak times, but mid-morning there were several open spaces.

Wheelchair accessibility: A man rolled in with a fairly large motorized mobility chair, and he was easily accommodated by his companion moving a small table, which still left a metre-wide aisle for other customers. All the furniture is movable so you can configure to suit various groups.“
