“Absolutely incredible! A real diamond in the rough. This place is welcoming, friendly, comfortable, everyone seems like they’re family when they come in. They’re even dog friendly! I really can’t say enough amazing things about this place. It is going to quickly become my go to place in the area. Cozy up I. Front of the fireplace with your laptop or a good book, didn’t bring one? They’re got you covered!“

“Hi T on Wellington is such an adorable spot with beautiful, charming decor—perfect for a date or a girls’ outing. Their Vietnamese coffee is absolutely delicious and worth trying! The service was fast and friendly, the space is roomy and comfortable, and they even have board games to play while you hang out. A really fun and cozy place to enjoy good drinks and company.“

“I’ve been coming here at least 1-2 times a week, and I can easily say they have the best, most fresh, and most reasonably-priced sushi in Ottawa! The owners are very nice and welcoming, they always greet every customer with a smile. ?I got the platters for a birthday party, which were a hit with the guests.I’ve never seen salmon and tuna this fresh in Ottawa. I usually go for the specialty rolls or tacos. I love the variety of the menu and how filled the tacos are.Highly recommend using their Google form to order since it’s quick, easy to use, and has all the menu items on there.“
“The Great Pyramids of Giza, Machu Picchu, the Colosseum. All testaments to what the human species can achieve with the right mix of vision, labour, and a dream. Today, I am adding The Bower Coffee Co. to this list.
While Ottawa has an increasingly large list of quality, independent coffee establishments, they pale in comparison to this shop.
The coffee is the focus, and while you can’t get a venti Frappuccino with extra caramel made by a staff who isn’t allowed to go on strike due to the need to increase shareholder value, you can get quality coffee, made with quality beans, made by Canadian roasters, made by wonderfully knowledgeable staff who clearly enjoy their work. It’s the best parts of the coffee culture of Australia, but nestled on the main strip of Westboro.
These staff are, without a doubt, some of the best in the city. Not only are they warm, not only are they as happy to serve you a drip coffee with milk and sugar as a pour over, but they must have been hand picked from an improv troupe - but like, not an insufferable one - because their ability to riff is elite. Even if the coffee was terrible - which it isn’t - it would be worth coming back just for the vibes alone.
Coffee? Amazing.
Staff? Amazing.
Atmosphere? Amazing.
Music selection? Especially amazing.
Food? Amazing. (Try the avocado toast with egg - to die for)
We should celebrate that we in Ottawa can have a spot like this to grab a cup, a treat, and a joke. Truly an amazing accomplishment in a city that is more interested in giving our tax dollars to billionaires than doing anything to help small business owners.
Way to go Bower Coffee Co.“

“I was looking for a cafe close to where I parked in Centretown and found this spot.
A chill cafe where the barista was great and he served up a mean cappucciono.
The place was pretty quiet bc it was late afternoon but lots of places to sit and snacks to choose from.
A great find on a busy part of Bank St.“

“Cute little cafe, great coffee. I always get a latte and it's always good. The inside is usually pretty full when I've been and it's a bit dark inside but has a unique atmosphere since it's in an old industrial kind of building. They also have a few outdoor tables which is nice. I've always walked or biked here but there is street parking and a small parking lot too.“
“If coffee could flirt, it would do it here.
Cafe Delice is my new favorite escape from reality — partly because of the amazing coffee, and partly because the baristas look like they walked out of a fashion magazine. Two beautiful ladies behind the bar? Check. A handsome barista with charm and latte art skills? Double check.
I came in for a cappuccino and left with a full heart and slightly unrealistic romantic expectations.
The vibe is cozy, the espresso is smooth, and the staff could easily start a modeling agency on the side. 10/10 would let them judge my coffee order again.“

“One of the coolest cafe spaces I’ve been to. There’s a tea lab at the back, plenty of seating for socializing or if you’re looking to study. Theres patio seating as well. Coffee is free eat and there’s a decent selection of pastries and sandwiches.“
“Such a cozy little spot! We stopped in for tea and roll cake, and both were delicious — fresh, light, and full of flavour. The place has a wonderfully warm vibe, with a samovar, flowers, and even a lavender candle adding to the atmosphere. You can really tell everything is made with love.
They also had a gorgeous selection of desserts, including Iranian baklava and some unique cheesecakes (the lavender-lime and toranj looked incredible!). Definitely a place I’ll be returning to whenever I’m in the mood for great pastries and a relaxing atmosphere.“

“Before it was sold and resold to different owners, Bridgehead used to be mich better as a local chain — bigger tea selection, more treats, fresh bread, soup, etc — but it's still not bad, and one of the few cafés that does loose-leaf tea in pots properly.
This particular location is outside of the central government/business area in the Wellington Village restaurant district. It's a bit run-down, but cozy and popular. I think of it as the neighbourhood's communal living room.“

“Friendly cafe with plenty of space. The savory scone was really good. Tried my first London Fog, as a Brit I'm undecided if I'd have it regularly, but it was good. Nice break from sweet food and coffee. Seems like the perfect cafe for studying in“

“Wonderful, inclusive folks! Very nice staff, who were very helpful. This may seem like an odd thing to say, but it was really great that they made sure they rented an accessible portable washroom for their large market event. As I was sporting crutches (I recently broke my ankle), it was a total life saver that I didn’t need to take the stairs! Not sure if the port-a-potty is an “always” thing, but just the fact that they had it for their street market when so many folks wouldn’t even think of it made me grateful. Thank you for being the loveliest hosts! I’m not a coffee or tea drinker, but I’ll certainly tell all my friends about how kind the staff were!“

“Recommended by our B&B Australis House, we had an excellent meal here with our two grandsons. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. The selection is large enough that children and adults can select great meals. Our server was amazing with our grandsons aged 9 and 11, suggesting options that they truly enjoyed.“

“Luxe Blooms Flower Cafe is a flower shop and cafe located just kinutes away from Byward Market and the Parliament, making it a perfect, insta-worthy stop if you're around downtown Ottawa!
I ordered the Cherry Cute Matcha and the Oo-babe croffle, and both were presented stunningly! The Cherry Cute Matcha is decorated with small flower petals, which emits a pleasing smell while you drink it. The Oo-babe croffle was great as well, and not too sweet for the tooth.
Overall, with the atmosphere combined with the service and visually stunning food, I had a great time, and would recommend this place to anyone around the area! ❤️🌷“

“In life, we walk through many doors. But if there’s one door all of us should walk through, it is the red door of Red Door Provisions. Excellent espresso, delicious and unique lattes, and a fantastic selection of food and alcohol provisions. But the menu item that reigns above all is the Dad Bod sandwich. Someday, I will paint all the doors to my home red, in the hopes that I too could capture the magic of the Dad Bod sandwich and Red Door coffee myself.“

“I love LJB’s treats so much that even writing this recommendation has me adding some to my ubereats cart. But seriously their donuts are to die for, their events are amazing, and they always come up with the coolest ideas. My fave? They did a pancake cake!!!! What the heck so good“
“Ever since moving to the area, this Happy Goat has become my go-to spot. As a PhD student, I love the perfect combination of intimate warmth and spacious layout, complemented by great lofi music and exceptional coffee. The staff is always cheerful and eager to help. Everything here feels calming and thoughtfully curated, from the floral arrangements to the blankets and pillows scattered on wooden benches. You don't get the bougie experience of being too cool for school, nor the try-hard hipster vibe—just a beautiful balance of comfort and energy. Plus, they're one of the rare places that stays open past 4-5pm! I've explored different coffee shops around the neighborhood, but this one keeps drawing me back.“

“Roll’d Up is the cutest little ice cream spot in Ottawa - and honestly, I probably come here a little too often! “Very nice quite little cafe on the lower level of the Note Dame. Was a great place for us to take a quick bite. The cold tea there is a bit expensive but very tasty and have a bunch of interesting flavours. It is also home brewed so much better then the store bought options. Super close to the national gallery.“

“Thimble Cakes is an eclectic bakery that offers vegan ice cream and a variety of baked goods. I had two cupcakes: carrot cake and brookie. For being gluten-free, both were incredibly moist. Also, the frosting on top was creamy and light. I would definitely return for some ice cream or anything from their extensive amount of baked goods.“

““What do you mean you’ve been here 20 years!”
That’s what I said to Tom when I walked into this coffee shop for the first time.
It is a pleasant surprise for me to find a “new” place that’s been around a while.
I noted Tom’s energy and passion for what he does. And Salyna rounded out the experience with her warm and inclusive demeanour. They make an amazing team.
Great house roasted coffee. Assorted house baked goods. An intimate patio. And a short walk to Commissioner’s Park (Tulip Festival) and Dow’s Lake.
Know I know!
I highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area.“
